Just North of St Tropez, Lou Prato is a well-equipped, traditional terraced family house in the village centre. Outside the terrace garden has a well sized private pool with a swimming exercise jet. The pool is alarmed. There is space to lie out sunbathing and a large dining table and a gas barbecue for al fresco dining. Inside the house has a large living / dining room and separate kitchen and it comfortably sleeps 8, in 5 bedrooms. The house has an attic games room with table tennis, satellite TV and broadband access. There is street parking in the immediate vicinity.

La Garde Freinet has all the services that you need for a great holiday: markets twice a week, bars, cafés, restaurants, convenience stores, gift shops, a bank, the post office, etc. You can stroll to the village in a couple of minutes for your morning croissants.

The beaches around St Tropez are a short drive and the Massif des Maures, one of the most beautiful natural parks in France, is on the doorstep

La Garde Freinet: La Garde Freinet is a fine medieval village with a ruined Saracen fort on the hill above. The village is at the heart of the Massif des Maures, a huge area of protected wooded countryside. Some of the most beautiful beaches in the South of France within easy reach on the Presqu’ile de St Tropez and along the Corniche des Maures. The closest beaches are around the west end of the Golfe de St Tropez at Cogolin Plage, Port Grimaud and Beauvallon. The village is far enough from the coast to escape the crowds, and yet St Tropez is only a short drive.

Local Amenities: The village has its own markets twice a week with local produce and crafts. Various festivals occur almost every weekend in the summer. Good local shops are open all the time for everyday needs. There is also a large choice of restaurants and a bank. The house is just two minutes walk from the centre of the village. From the garden the house has views of the old Saracen fort and the Cross above the village, and the valley of the Argens with the foothills of the Alps beyond.

La Garde Freinet is a well-serviced, historic village at the heart of the Massif des Maures, North of St Tropez. The resorts and beaches around St Tropez are in easy reach.

The village is 18 kilometres South of the A8/A57 motorway junction. Airports at Toulon - St Tropez (55 kms), Nice (105kms) and Marseille (125kms), and the TGV stations at Aix en Provence, (7 hours from London) or Les Arcs Draguignan (24 Kms), (9 hours from London) serve the village.

Other Activities: great area for cycling and mountain bikes: bikes are not provided. There is a skate board just down the road. The kids should bring their own boards.
