What a fabulous location
This is a very pleasant and well cared for apartment built in the old style with a cool terrace overlooking the Poblado Marina. Busy by day, quite by night it really is a perfect spot to watch the world go by. The delightful owners, Tony & Linda, meet you on arrival and are always on hand if you need them.
All is as described in the details with shops, supermarkets, restaurants and bars within a few minutes walking distance of the property, but be warned Los Gigantes is built on a fairly steep hillside (well, it seems steep if you live in Cambridgeshire!). Numerous boat trips are available in the harbour if you want to watch Wales & Dolphins or plan a fishing trip or perhaps try a bit of water sport. There is also a lido close by which you can use for a few Euros a day.
This was our first trip to Tenerife and we were really not sure what to expect. Was it simply going to be one crowded resort after another? Absolutely not. Tenerife has so much more to offer than this and we found a car an indispensible aid when visiting its many treasures. The drive north through the centre of the Island via El Teide to the old capital of Laguna was simply breath taking.
We really cannot praise this destination enough. We spent three thoroughly relaxing weeks there, despite enduring a night of the most ferocious winds ever recorded on the Island. The damage was considerable in places but the Islanders soon had everything back in order. We very much look forward to returning to this delightful apartment one day and thoroughly recommend it to you.
