We have created three apartments from the structures that were once occupied by the monks of Canonica. They have all modern conveniences but maintain the appearance and characteristics of the ancient original building. Guests enjoy a modern swimming pool with a beautiful view of Siena.
All of the apartments, as well as having a bedroom and a bathroom, have a generous kitchen/living room complete with an open fireplace as local traditions dictate. The kitchens are well-equipped with electrical appliances. A WI-FI link is available in the apartments and nearby a PC with Internet connection is at our guests' disposal.
Canonica a Cerreto is a perfect starting point for long country walks and is also located in an ideal position for day trips in the car, either to visit areas of natural beauty or to admire art and architecture in the nearby towns.

Whether coming from South, from the Autostrada del Sole A1, exit at Val di Chiana. Canonica a Cerreto is 30 km in the direction of Siena. At the exit for Asciano/Monteaperti follow signs for Monteaperti and then for Pianella. At Pianella follow signs for Canonica a Cerreto.
From Florence the quickest route is the Superstrada from Florence to Siena. Once you reach Siena follow signs for Arezzo and take the Siena-Betolle road. After roughly 10 km from Siena take the Asciano/Monteaperti exit. Follow signs for Monteaperti and Pianella.
On level Pianella take the road to Vagliagli, after 3 km, on the top of the hill, you find Canonica a Cerreto.

In the others directions, the characteristics landscape of Crete Senesi , till Pienza and Montalcino, or through Massetana Road , or highway reach the beach on only one hour .
Ours esteemed wines: Our goal of making high quality wines necessitates attentive care in the vineyard. After the winter pruning our work on the vines and soil goes on practically uninterrupted until the second half of July. Then we remove some of the bunches so that the remaining grapes can mature in the best possible circumstances.
The harvest takes places between September and the first half of October. The grapes are picked by hand. Once they have been de-stemmed they undergo fermentation in stainless steel vats. During fermentation the skins tend to rise to the surface. We re-emerge them in the wine, pumping the wine out and performing delestages in order to effect the best maceration of the grapes.
