The house dates from the 16 century and is provencale in style. It has 5 double bedrooms, two spacious seating areas, a large new 'American Kitchen' which is the heart of the house with panoramic views over the surrounding hills. There are three terraced areas as follows: the garden above the house with distant sea views; a terraced area outside the kitchen which is great for al fresco dining and is adjacent to the swimming pool and a small terrace at the front of the house. There are three separate 'salon' areas within the house and 3 beautiful bathrooms. As the house is on 4 levels be prepared for a few stairs!

The house is in the heart of the village which is a beautiful but peaceful destination.

Things to do in the local area: Local activities include walks to suit all abilities either in the Haute Provence, the Corniche hills overlooking the Mediterranean or along the stunning gorges cutting through towering hills. There is swimming in the sea 20 minutes drive from the house, or alternatively enjoying the local lakes and rivers. The area is a paradise for cyclists, whether on mountain bikes in the hills or following the meandering roads.

In Cannes, sample delicious local food and drink at Marche Fourville, a traditional outdoor market selling an excellent range of fresh produce including fruit and vegetables, cheese, meat, fish and speciality breads, pastas and pâtes. There is even a brocante on Sunday.

Take a day trip to St Paul de Vence. A charming historical hill top art village. For an extra special evening meal, head to Toille Blanche, a super chic boutique hotel and restaurant situated in the hills surrounding the village.

For those seeking culture...: For those seeking culture, there is the Renoir Museum situated in Cagnes-sur-Mer where his former house is a museum accommodating his most significant works surrounded by a beautiful olive grove which inspired his paintings. Saint Paul de Vence is one of most famous enclaves for artists in France. Its narrow cobbled streets provide a unique setting which made Saint Paul a favorite spot for Picasso, Matisse and other contemporary artists - Marc Chagall even chose to be buried here.

Auribeau Sur Siagne is a picturesque, hilltop village situated half-way between Cannes and Grasse. The medieval village is perched atop a hill with commanding views of Grasse to the North and the sea to the South. The village was built between the 15th and 16th Century and has winding cobbled streets decorated with hanging floral baskets and vibrant bougainvillea vines.

There are walks to suit all abilities in the Corniche hills or along the stunning gorges of the Loup river. Swimming in the sea is 20 minutes drive from the house.
