This modern Townhouse fully refurbished in September 2013 is only 5 min drive from the beautiful Carlilse Bay and 10 min drive to Bridgetown. The house has air conditioning in the lounge, master bedroom and one of the guest bedrooms. Ceiling fans are fitted in all rooms including the patio area. It is also fitted with WiFi and cable TV. The kitchen is fully equipped and all linen and towels are provided.The house is furnished to a high standard as the owners use it for several months of the year.

There is a weekly maid service included in the price . The property has beautifully maintained gardens and the pool is just 5 metres away from the patio. The location is in a quiet area. If you fancy a night at the busy St Lawrence Gap, it is only 15 min away.

Great house for a family

I couldn't fault the house nor the owner. Having stayed at Gunsite several times before I knew what to expect but for anyone thinking about staying here is a little taste.
The development is a small gated community, inland a few minutes from some of the best beaches in Barbados. The house, grounds and pool are all immaculate and it's a very tranquil setting (early morning chickens from neighbouring homes apart). From here you can get to Rockley/Accra beach easily (our favourite), Carlilse Bay, the Gap or Bridgetown very easily via car.
The house itself was plenty big enough for my family of six and very well equipped for cooking (not that we used any of it), sleeping and entertaining, including WIFI.
The owner was perfect to deal with, giving very clear details of how to get to the property and recommending a number of places to see and eat. I thought I knew Barbados pretty well but we have found a new spot for dinner!

All in all a great place to stay. I would thoroughly recommend it to you and old, couple or families. Thanks Steve for a great service!

Great house, lovely gated community

I sit here in the lovely garden, visited frequently by hummingbirds and at least one green monkey. One of the gardeners gave us a bunch of about 12 bananas yesterday - he had even rinsed them first. Had a chat with the lovely neighbours, who have been coming here for 10 years. The birds are singing. The washing machine is on. Denise was here earlier to clean and change the laundry and bedlinen.
The house is as good as, or better than the photos. Location is excellent for going to quite a number of beaches, and handy for the ABC highway that is the fast road to the airport or up the west coast. The gated community feels safe, and the locals outside the gate usually say hello.
Information was all here, or had already been provided by Steve and Paula. Steve was particularly patient both when booking and when i didn't understand/remember how much the rental was (it is great value!)
The only problem is that the kitchen equipment here is better than i have at home, so it will involve some expense at lakeland (splash guards for microwave and frying pans- as well as thousands of pans, plates, glasses, mugs, supplies of most things).
All is clean and well maintained, everything works.
Amanda was here to meet us, even though we had been held up at the airport, so she probably waited ages; but she didn't mention it.
We chose this house to be near to Carlisle bay, with its safe swimming and marine park - you really can swim a few yards from the beach and see a variety of colourful fish and turtles.
There are a number of beaches and good restaurants within a mile or two. Champers is wonderful - lunchtime is cheaper than dinner, and you get great views. Tapas also good, as is the hut selling fish sandwiches in the car park at Pebbles Beach.
Would definitely recommend this house to friends, and we may be lucky enough to return here next winter. Refusing to leave could be a plan.

Fantastic Town House near the Garrison

An exceptional well-kept and well-presented property in a gated community. The property was spacious and clean with everything needed to make this a perfect holiday. The grounds of the property were maintained to a very high standard and with lots of TLC! The use of the swimming pool was great. Good customer service was also provided throughout our stay.

Barbados is a great holiday destination. We sampled delicious rotis and of course the rum punch. We visited St Nicholas Abbey and Sunbury House, watched lots of cricket too!

Would highly recommend to relatives and friends. Along with the Caribbean sun an idyllic choice for a most enjoyable holiday.

Great place to stay on the island.

As regular visitors to the island we have stayed in verious properties and we rate Steve's as one of the best we have stayed in.
Its position is very central and easily accessible to all major roads and espcially the south cost beaches which are our favouries.
The property itself is in good decorative order and comfortable. The only issues we had were the gap in the stairwell, which could be a problem for small children as we had out 3yr old daughter with us and we were very wary of her falling through the gap. The main bathroom bath leaked, but was fixed by a local guy arranged by Steve.
The pool is 20 steps away and is really well maintained by the lovely staff.
This was a great base for us and would highly recommend it for a family stay on the lovely island which we have loved for years.

Relaxing Retreat

This was the first time we rented a house in Barbados and what a wonderful experience it was. From our first contact with the owner to the end of our stay we felt very comfortable and well looked after. The house is beautiful and very well equipped with anything one could need. The grounds in the gated community are beautiful and well maintained and staff are very friendly. The location of the house is central to great beaches, shopping and restaurants. There is lots of space to park a car in front of the house which is so convenient. After a busy day or evening out it was like coming back to our own little oasis. Some days we just stayed at the pool which we really enjoyed as most of the time we had it to ourselves. The others living in this community are very friendly which made us feel very much at home. Steve provided excellent info for us prior to our arrival. Thanks once again for all your help!! We also had some family visiting us when we were there and found the house to be very spacious. Especially liked the barbecue!! This was our 7th trip to Barbados and we like Carlisle Bay and Accra Beach for swimming so this was a perfect location. I would strongly recommend this property and we found it even nicer than the pictures and they are beautiful!! Planning to return. Thanks again.. John and Heather

My vacation at the rental home was amazing. The property is located in a prime location that is accessible to the beach, city and highways. The layout of the apartment was perfect for a family with children and provided privacy and comfort with the available utilities and materials. The property is beautifully cared for and made the vacation memorable because of the many nearby attractions and activities in close proximity. I would definitely recommend this site to anyone wishing to visit Barbados.

Close to Bridgetown the capital of Barbados. We are close to Bridgetown the capital of Barbados. Other tourist attractions are St, Lawrence Gap where the restaurants and live music attract lots of tourists.

Oistins fish fry on Friday and Saturday night are a must. Here you will be able to eat locally caught fish and the local evening entertainment is unique.

Carlisle Bay is a beautiful stretch of beach and considered one of the top 10 beaches in the world. A trip to Doris' Rum shack on this beach is a must. you cant miss it as it has nearly every national flag in the world flying from her rooftop.

Harrison's Cave is a fantastic day out and should not be missed if you can fit it in. St Johns church on the east coast gives you a breathtaking view of the whole east coast of Barbados. A car/taxi is needed for this trip.

The Absolute Rum Shack (or Watering Hole) at the entrance to St Lawrence gap is a must on a Saturday. The atmosphere is fantastic and the characters unique. Karaoke nights are great and there are some quite good singers that go along so its buzzin. You will pay at least half price for drinks here compared to the bars in St Lawrence Gap.

Shakers is what I describe as an up market rum shack/restaurant, it is not far from the house but can be difficult to find. It's worth a visit as their beer battered catch of the day is to die for and their baby back ribs are awesome. Great value for money and a great friendly atmosphere. Make an effort to visit this restaurant, you won't be disappointed
