This spacious 240 m2 architect-designed house is furnished to a high standard with several original art pieces. It lies in peaceful wooded surroundings of 10,000 sq metres, and is reached at the end of a private road in a lotissement, where you will find beautiful woodland and canalside walks. The property has extensive terracing and its own gardens, including an 11m x 5.5m salt water system mosaic tiled swimming pool.

Arriving through the entrance hall complete with grand piano, you will admire the beautiful views towards the Esterel Mountains to the South West. The property is an ideal base for a holiday exploring the Cote D'Azur and Provence, with the famous Mougins Village a few minutes drive away.

External Location & Facilities: The property is in an exclusive and secluded situation at the end of a private road, and is accessed through secure electronically operated gates. The property is not overlooked by other villas and lies within its own grounds with ample parking at the rear for many vehicles. The forest area around the villa is owned but there is a more secure set of gardens that are tended by a gardener and also included the salt water swimming pool and extensive terracing of over 130 sq metres. The pool is looked after by a specialist pool company who will visit once a week to perform cleaning and maintenance.

The villa is equipped with top of the range bbq, as well as lots of external garden furniture for your enjoyment, and shady pergolas to linger under. The garden contains many exotic plants from banana palms, vines, orange & lemon trees to pines, olive & fig trees. There is a babyfoot table and table tennis under its own terraced roof, and the villa comes with other games for all to enjoy.

Internal Layout & Facilities: The property is spacious with high ceilings (reaching 6m in the living area), with wide corridors and stairs. The entrance hall contains a grand piano, and is on the same level as the upper bedrooms with their own loggia and access to the garden. Upstairs there is a contemporary bathroom to complement the ensuite shower rooms, and separate toilets.

The sleeping arrangements would work well for two families or groups, with a double and twin upstairs together with 2 showers, 2 toilets and a separate bathroom. The two upper bedrooms have air conditioning. Each upper bedroom accesses an upper loggia which means the outside can be accessed directly including access to the pool by the upper terrace staircase. Linen & towels included.

The downstairs sleeping features a room with 2 singles, and shower ideal for children/teenagers and a master bedroom suite, which includes a Japanese bathroom, shower and separate area. There is also a baby cot/high chair/potty/baby toys available. There is a separate study/playroom with its own oval wooden terrace area.

Inside the living area is open plan and spacious. The kitchen is well equipped with two sink areas, a long bar and top of the range appliances. These include Miele ovens, including steam oven, microwave, nespresso machine, mixing machine, toaster, induction plaque and extractor fan, diswasher, 2 fridges, freezer unit. Just off the kitchen is a separate laundry with washing machine, tumble dryer etc. The dining area has 8 chairs and there is also a separate additional table, if you choose to eat inside. The main living has 2 leather sofas, and TV.

The hall contains a grand piano, with spectacular view across to Pegomas, and leads out onto the upper terraces. Downstairs there is a separate study with its own terrace.

Open Living & Dining: The living area is spacious and open plan with living, dining area, bar and kitchen all working together. This area in the summer can be accessed through large sliding internal doors which recess into the walls, making the whole space connect with the exterior gardens & terracing.

The kitchen is state of the art with a separate bar area, and it connects to a separate dining area and onto large terraces for alfresco dining/lounging. The large terrace will comfortably seat 12 people under the pergola for summer dining. The kitchen is finished with red granite work surfaces and equipped with top of the range appliances/culinary aids for budding chefs. There are 2 fridges, fridge freezers, dishwashers, oven and steam oven, microwave, coffee machines, kettle, toaster, etc.. In terms of laundry there is washing machine, dryer etc.

About Nathalie Magson

We are a mixed English/French family. We were lucky enough to be given this piece of land, which belonged to my wife's family, who are from Mougins. She grew up in Mougins and her family are still here, which means they are close by in case of any problems.

Why Nathalie Magson chose Mougins

It took us over 10 years to design and build the house, and many 'Grand Design' moments. We do also live here sporadically, but let it out for selected weeks. It is a modern contemporary villa, with open plan living that everyone who goes there loves. It is tucked away in forest, yet so close to amenities, the coast and many great holiday places.

What makes this villa unique

Having designed and built the house, it is the way we wanted a villa. Private & secluded, stunning views, alfresco living, great pool and safe for children & family. There are many lovely villas in Mougins, but we wouldn't swop..

We spent a fantastic Easter holidays (fabulous eggs hunting in the beautiful garden with my son)
It was so nice to enjoy such a peaceful retreat in the nature, forest all around though so close from all facilities
( the 2 supermarkets are down the road and the villages of Mouans-Sartoux and Mougins less than 3 km away to go for a drink or a nice restaurant). The modern and spacious architect house is very pleasant to live and nicely equipped. We can very easily share with 2 families and enjoy our privacy as all bedrooms even the children have en suite bathrooms. The big space around the pool and garden is ideal for nice dinners and shared time to spend with friends or family

Un petit coin de paradis!

Nous avons passe un sejour fantastique. La maison est spacieuse, tres propre et extremement bien equipee. Ayant ete construite recemment, tout est neuf. Les lits sont tres confortables, la salle de bain japonaise est un regal avec la vue sur le jardin. Les pieces a vivre sont baignees dans la lumiere et la cuisine en open plan se prete extremement bien au mode de vie estival.Nous avons adore avoir un acces direct au jardin depuis le salon et la cuisine
Le jardin est grand, entoure de verdure et les enfants ont pu jouer en toute securite.La piscine et le reste du jardin profitent du soleil toute la journee, du matin au soir, un detail que nous avons tous vraiment apprecie!
L'emplacement de la maison est ideal, nichee au bout d'un chemin au calme et sans vis a vis.
Des vacances tres reussies et tres reposantes en grande partie grace au confort et a l'emplacement de la maison. Nous reviendrons!

Tolles Haus!

Liebe Nathalie, lieber Nigel,
vielen Dank für die schönen 9 Tage. Unsere Familie (8 Erwachsene + 1 Kleinkind) hat sich sehr wohl gefühlt.
Die Ausstattung ist super und alles ist sauber und gepflegt. Die Hausumgebung ist ruhig und war für uns sehr erholsam. Besonders der Pool hat es uns angetan. Auch im Oktober kann man ihn noch benutzen. Wir können das Haus nur weiterempfehlen :-)
Nathalie und Nigel sind klasse Gastgeber. Für unsere Fragen hatten sie immer ein offenes Ohr.

Beautiful villa in a great location

The villa is beautifully equipped and very spacious. We went on holiday with our friends and the layout meant that we could have one family upstairs and one downstairs. All bedrooms had en-suite facilities and there were plenty of towels both for the bathrooms and pool.
The villa is just down the road from a supermarket so it was easy to get supplies and it was also easy to get to Cannes and Antibes via car.
The views from outside are lovely and our kids spent hours in the pool and on the table tennis. I would not hesitate to recommend this villa or to go there again.

La sérénité de la campagne à deux pas de la ville

J'ai été ravie de mon séjour en Juin dernier dans cette belle villa. Nichée en pleine nature, dans un cadre magnifique et très calme, mais seulement à 15 minutes de Cannes et juste à côté des boutiques et restaurants de Mouans-Sartoux et de Mougins, du marché et du cinéma.
Intérieurs comme extérieurs, aménagés avec beaucoup de goût, sont parfaits pour une large famille ou un groupe d'amis. Chacun de nous a pû garder son indépendance grâce aux grands espaces et à différents endroits dans le jardin dont des terrasses personnelle pour les chambres.

Une propriété que je recommande pour des vacances de qualité.

Beautiful Family Holiday

We recently stayed at Villa Cannelle with our young children (3 and 18mths) . The villa is beautiful, recently decorated and with lovely grounds. All the amenities needed are in the villa, the kitchen is very well equipped. The house is set well up into the forest but once driven its quite easy to find and the views are lovely. The pool is large and was a nice temperature , its a salt pool but this is so mild you will never notice and we actually preferred it to chlorinated pools. Our children had a fantastic time there and it proved a quite ideal holiday home.

Situated near the famous hill-top village of Mougins, this secluded contemporary villa is nestled at the top of a beautiful wooded valley just below the Canal de la Siagne, providing local canal side walks/jogging straight from your door. You are between Cannes and Grasse - 15 minutes drive from the sea or from the world’s perfume capital - so perfectly placed for a varied holiday between the bustling riveria and its attractions, and the calm & charm of the Provence countryside.

Sporting activities are plentiful, from tennis to sailing to the nearby (3minutes!) celebrated Royal Mougins Golf Club. For the cultural, famous art galleries, including Picasso and Matisse are in the vicinity. Families will enjoy the beaches, Marineland at Antibes, local cinemas and the Cannes International firework festival every two weeks in the summer. Provence and the Esterel mountains provide fantastic walks and you are just 25 minutes from Nice Airport. You will wish you had booked longer.
