The Boathouse is an idyllic cottage on the spectacular Fowey River Estuary, just two miles from Fowey and a step away from the water’s edge. A converted boathouse and lime kiln, the cottage is one of the oldest buildings in the picturesque village of Golant.
Comfortable and welcoming with magnificent views across the river, there is a log fire for cosy winter holidays and a private terrace ideal for spring and summer barbecues.
The accommodation is reversed so that the living area has the benefit of the wonderful views over the river. In this light and airy room, white walls and prints complement a mixture of antiques and quality furnishings, with the dining area looking out over the inner harbour.
Driving instructions: Driving along the A380 towards St Austell, take the B3269 left, which is signposted to Fowey (it also has a signpost to the Hidden Valley Gardens).
Continue along the B3269, after about 3 miles you'll come to some pale-green/white farm buildings followed shortly by a staggered crossroad, take the left turning signposted to Golant.
Keep following this road towards the river, at the waterfront it turns to the right, continue past the no through-fare sign, The Boathouse is less than a hundred yards on the right.
