Photos and Description of this 3 bedroom holiday home in North Wales - W1087

House in Conwy Marina, Wales - Excellent Location In Quiet Cul De Sac. Beach, Mountain, Golf Course, Conwy Town close by. Sleeps 6

'Corner Cottage' has a modern, contemporary feel, with light airy rooms, a new kitchen and bathroom, and quality contents from kitchen utensils to bed linen to a wide selection of DVD's. The snug/office room with TV/DVD creates additional living space downstairs and outside there is a large garden patio which captures lots of sunshine. A short walk across the cul de sac and you are on the marina front with beach one way and pub the other. Conwy golf club which extends out along the coast is also a short walk away. A walking/cycling path runs along the coast to Conwy town and its famous castle through to Llandudno and beyond; or alternatively there is 'Conwy mountain' which is located behind the marina and a fabulous walk. There are numerous activities to be found in the area, some excellent eateries and great places to visit including Betws-y-Coed, Llandudno or further afield, on the isle of Anglesey.

Suitability:
  • children welcome
  • suitable for elderly or infirm

Why Ed Cole chose North Wales

Corner Cottage on Conwy Marina provides a great escape from routine life! Easily accessible, the marina location and proximity to not only the sea but Conwy Castle, the hills and mountains, offers a huge range of activities for all. Corner Cottage is a great place to relax but fully equipped for fun.

What makes this house unique

Corner Cottage has all we need, home from home, and is very spacious, particularly with the addition of a garage conversion offering a retreat for kids or adults!

We love walking along the coastal path, just a mile, into Conwy, a meander around the town and a cup of tea or coffee in one of the many cafes.

We regularly take a picnic up to the Great Orme at Llandudno and enjoy the views. A favourite with the kids, the ski slope on the Orme also has a toboggan run and mini golf as well as the Alpine Lodge bar and restaurant.

Watsons Bistro in Conwy is just one of many eateries we love providing fabulous food.

Lovely holiday home

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Corner Cottage over the May Bank holiday weekend, and had a fantastic time.

The house is so much bigger than it looks in the pictures, and is decorated in a really nice style - not over the top, but not sterile either. The kitchen is really handy, everything we needed to make meals as usual was there, and having a microwave was really handy for warming up baby food. The beds are really comfortable, and the bathroom is great - our daughter loved splashing about in the bath.

The area is lovely - even though it was a bit cold in the evenings we enjoyed going for walks around the marina, and it's easy to walk into Conwy itself. Our top recommendation would be to go to Parisella's in Conwy for ice cream - delicious!

Really good place, in prime location

  • 5 of 5

Well equipped, yet uncluttered, with really good double beds a special plus. Everything to a very high standard of cleanliness. Even equipped with games for youngsters and some more 'techy' games consoles too. A family would be at home there anytime of the year. The excellent location is one street back from a marina view in a quiet close. Once inside it is calm and comfortable throughout. Certainly a place we will earmark when in the area again.

Excellent break in 1st Class accomodation

  • 5 of 5

Great location and first class accommodation. Everything you need and more. All mod cons, WiFi etc... Excellent walks from the house (we recommend walking up Conway mountain and back along the beach, fantastic views). Pub/restaurant and small shop very close by and an easy walk into Conwy. Will return soon for a longer stay to explore more of the area and do more walks.

Perfect Base for a holiday in North Wales

  • 5 of 5

We had never visited North Wales before so wanted to stay in a comfortable accommodation with the added benefits of having all facilities available. This house has it all....whether self catering, take away or eating out all tastes were met. We could see that the house facilitated the most demanding of child/teenager as it was well equipped with games, a playstation, dvds etc. The overall feel of the area itself felt safe and very peaceful despite being minutes away from the main links to the rest of Wales.

I would highly recommend this house to anyone wanting a home from home as their base!

Great holiday!

  • 4 of 5

Had a lovely week in Conwy! Corner Cottage lived up to expectation. It was very comfortable, clean and well equipped (apart from a teapot!) and a stones throw away from the Marina and The Mulberry pub. The owner was prompt to reply to my initial enquiry and very helpful from start to finish. Would definitely recommend this accommodation although the noise from the A55 may put some people off. A trip on the railway to the top of Snowdon is a must, Conwy Castle, Llandudno and Betws-y-coed well worth a visit too. Really enjoyed our holiday and would certainly visit again. Many thanks Ed.

Fabulous home from home!

  • 5 of 5

We visited Corner Cottage with our friends plus a 3 year old and a 5 year old. The house comfortably coped with all 6 of us, plenty of space to play (the kids!) and relax (adults!). Great enclosed back patio with doors off the living room meant the boys could be safe outside. The house was spotlessly clean, well maintained and extremely well equipped for families, every detail carefully thought through. The games room was enjoyed by the big boys too. Fabulous to have all the home comforts, plenty of space and in such an ideal location. Parking right outside was ideal too. An evening stroll around the marina was a perfect way to end each day. Will recommend without hesitation and visit again soon.
