Wonderful appartment in a great location

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for a week, but wished it were more.

The apartment is large, well and tastefully furnished, and, extremely comfortable.

The quayside location is perfect, and, convenient.

The ever changing tidal and wildlife scene, to be viewed from the huge windows and balcony, is wonderful.

We were warmly greeted, and, given every assistance.

Local restaurants are excellent.

We will stay again.

Great apartment in beautiful setting

  • 5 of 5

A well presented apartment in a wonderful location. The photographs do not do the views justice and within a few miles you can walk in mountains, on beautiful beaches and lovely forests. The apartment was well equipped and clean and very comfortable.

Aussie Golfers

A party of 4 aussies stayed at Chances Mourne in Dundrum on the recommendation of friends who had stayed there previously. We were very pleased with the accommodation which was spacious, clean and had great water views. The customer service from Mary was first class - she booked restaurants for us and generally made us feel very welcome. Ardglass and Royal County Downs were pretty special golfing experiences for our group of golfing tragics as well!

Chances Mourne View

  • 5 of 5

We have just returned home from spending ten days in this magnificent apartment.Extremely comfortable, it has everything you need all of which is of the highest quality and in good taste. Incredibly clean it is a credit to the lady who looks after it and greets you with a welcome pack. There is a lift just a few feet from the front door so no problem carrying luggage up stairs. The views are fantastic and ever changing as the tide flows in and out. Our camera and binoculars came in for a great deal of use.

Most of your everyday needs are available in Dundrum with two general stores, a garage and hairdressers etc. There is a Chinese restaurant with a takeaway and the Blue Bay tea rooms which does snacks and breakfasts. Good meals at the Dundrum Inn and Mourne Sea Foods which are in walking distance. Golf Links House and The Burrendale Hotel in nearby Newcastle also do good meals. There are lots of shops and cafes in Newcastle and a nice promenade.

There are plenty of attractions to visit. The Titanic exhibition is thirty miles away in Belfast and Slieve Donard which is the highest mountain in Northern Ireland is about four or five miles away from the apartment. The Silent Valley in the Mourne Mountains Is also well worth a visit.

We have booked again for 2015 and can't wait to go back.
