About Alexandra Adamson

My name is Alexandra and I live in Edinburgh with my husband and Maine Coon cat Archie. My husband is an engineer and I work part time for a property management company. My passion is gardening and my husband's passion is cycling. We have spent many holidays snowboarding or cycling but in the last few years we have slowed down on the sporting pursuits and like to explore new places on foot!

What makes this apartment unique

You would be never think our apartment was in the city so we love the fact that it is so quiet but literally 90 seconds (I've timed it) from Broughton Street where we can shop for basics or specialty items. There are so many restaurants, cafes and bars you are spoilt for choice. I love that we can walk to the main shops in and around Princes and George Street and our new tram system is up and running - 180 m and a 5 min walk from the apartment!

Home from home

This is the second time we,ve used Alexandra's beautiful flat on our trips to Edinburgh. The location is perfect, close to bus and train station, and if you are going to a show, the Playhouse is only a 5 minute walk. Broughton is a beautiful area for bars restaurants and shops etc and the City Centre is a short walk away. The flat has the wow factor and has everything you could possibly need. Alexandra made us feel very welcome from the minute we met her which added to the enjoyment of staying in her beautiful flat. We highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Edinburgh.

Top Class Apartment

This was the best place we could of chosen for our recent mini-moon. After all the hustle and bustle of the wedding we couldn't wait to get away for a quiet break. When we arrived the apartment was even better than we had imagined. From the ideal location to the beautiful décor and all the little touches the owner had left. We had a brilliant time and will definitely be back, thank you so much x

The most fantastic apartment in a great location. We stayed for three nights on our 'mini-moon' and were delighted we chose Broughton Place. From the welcome from Alex to the little homely touches in the apartment, we're so glad we didn't opt to spend more money on somewhere else. Highly recommended in every respect.

Perfect Stay

This is a beautifully presented and very clean apartment with a peaceful, cosy feel. There were lots of nice touches, teas, coffees, jar of lemon sherbets and umbrellas (which came in useful as weekend was rainy)! Location was great, quiet road but walking distance to cafes, bars, shops and main tourist attractions. The owner, Alex, is a lovely lady and was there to meet us when we arrived to show us around the apartment. We had lovely stay and would definitely recommend this apartment.

Amazing

My husband booked this apartment as a surprise for me, what an amazing place. The rooms are beautifully furnished with traditional antique furniture, the bed is so comfortable it was hard to drag ourselves out of it. The shower was great and the kitchen was well equipped. Alexandra obviously put a lot of thought into making the apartment work well and look wonderful. The location was great, no need for a car , its an easy walk up into the city and there are so many places to eat within a couple of minutes walk. I need to eat gluten free and Edinburgh was a dream , everywhere included gf items on the menu and it was a real treat to be able to eat out each evening. We did hire a car , from the car hire place just five minutes walks away , just for one day and visited Doune castle and loch Lomond. The airline bus to and from the airport was just a ten minute walk away. Alexandra was so helpful when my husband was planning this trip and was there to meet us when we arrived. I can't fault the apartment , the location or the city at all, a brilliant trip made even more special by the amazing accommodation.

“5 Star Accommodation”

My husband and I stayed for three nights in December. Alexandra, the owner, made us feel very welcome.

The apartment is beautiful, very clean and spacious, immaculate linens, well stocked kitchen. We also really appreciated the extra little touches such as coffee machine, a good selection of tea and coffee and luxury toiletries. The bed is not only huge but also very comfortable!

The apartment is within walking distance of everything, including Princess Street, the Castle, Royal Mile and Waverley Train Station, etc., Close to the apartment are a decent choice of cafes and restaurants.

I would recommend the apartment to my family and friends and would definitely stay again when next in Edinburgh.
