Spacious 2 bed,2 bath bungalow style villa on Clube Albufeira

We have stayed in various self catering accommodation both in the U.K. and Europe, and this villa is quite simply the best we have ever stayed in. There are many positives, not least the quiet location, cleanliness, fully equipped, a feel of "homeliness", an excellent villa manager (Dave) who lives just across the road if needed, and a very good information pack from the friendly owners prior to arrival. Also everything works from the kitchen equipment right through to every light bulb ! The villa is totally refurbished and is depicted accurately in the photographs on this site. It is extremely spacious and also has full freeview TV coming in through a sky box. It is located on a site consisting of some 350 properties, but is conveniently located near to reception. There are three swimming pools, the nearest one being only two minutes walk with a nice English owned cafe bar attached. There is an adequate convenience store on site, and a supermarket only 10 minutes walk away. It is located approx 1 mile from the Old Town, and a short taxi ride from the newer parts of Albufeira and the Strip. There is a modern safe footpath which takes you all the way to the Old Town. Taxis are very cheap and vary from just over 3 euros up to around 6 euros depending what part of Albufeira you require to reach or come back from (taxis can be booked at reception). Bus stops are immediately adjacent to the site and local fares average 1.40 euros per person. All in all this is an excellent villa which we would certainly go to again, and look forward to visiting in the future. Anyone who decides to rent this villa will not be disappointed, whether a couple or family group. On this occasion we visited as a couple, but will probably take the grandchildren there in due course.
