Set in gardens and terraced woodland, over looking the valley Can Amonita is a beautiful Blakstad designed villa with huge 18 meter pool in the hills, south of San Lorenzo. With 6 double bedrooms and 5 bathrooms the house caters for 12 people in comfort.

The style of Can Amonita is traditional Ibithencan inspired by Moorish influences, with arches framing the beautiful views all around.

All the furniture indoor and out is custom made quality hardwood, water hyacinth rattan and synthetic rattan from Bali. There are many individual features such as stone wall reliefs and wood carvings, two fountains, pond with fish, bali gazebo and enclosed courtyard

The outer entrance courtyard leads to the villa where all bedrooms (5 with on suite bathrooms) and living room are fully air conditioned, there is a fully equipped state of the art kitchen, Can Amonita exudes elegance and serenity.

All bedrooms have laptop safes + internet. Beaches, nightlife and shops are all within a short distance

Coast/beach: 10 minutes drive to the beach at Benirass, A large sandy beach located to the west of the island, popular with hippies and island musicians who often play chilled out music while the sun is setting–a true Ibiza moment to be experienced.

The beach has a few restaurants, bars and a beach shop selling gifts and clothes. Surrounded by long cliff edges with sea shanty style boathouses set into them, you can take a walk along the rocks to find a private place to watch the magical sunset.

Further details: San Lorenzo is located in the center of Ibiza halfway between Santa Eulalia and Santa Gertrudis this village was originally an ancient Moorish settlement. A large imposing church, surrounded by watchtowers makes up the centre of the village.

When it comes to restaurants San Lorenzo is a popular spot, with a number of famous eateries; including an outside barbecue restaurant serving only meat – the biggest and best steaks on the island, an inexpensive but delicious Italian restaurant, a popular and stylish English bar/restaurant which is a excellent alternative to the bars in Ibiza Town and a picnic and barbecue area funded by the local government where you bring your own food and drink and everything else is provided i.e. the barbecues, wood and sheltered tables and chairs.

Travel: We recommend car hire as the villa is located in the countryside.

Ibiza Airport is a 25 minute drive away.

Ibiza town is 15 minutes away by car.

San Lorenzo village is a few minute's drive away, where you will find a few delicious restaurants and some interesting Spanish history.

Alternatively the village of Santa Gertrudis, San Miguel, San Juan or the town of Santa Eulalia are all a short distance away.

Can Amonita is well situated to get anywhere in Ibiza. It is just off center towards the North East of the island. Surrounded by forest on the edge of the hill, it has views overlooking San Lorenzo valley with a glimpse of sea glistening at Santa Eularia, which is our nearest town.

Benirras Beach, famous for the mysterious rock and drumming on Sundays, is a 10 minute drive away as are Aigues Blancas, Cala Pada and Cala Nova to name a few of the most beautiful beaches in Ibiza.

The house is just off the San Joan -Eivissa Town Road, known as 'Restaurant mile', with a selection of all types of restaurants, Es Pins for traditional family food, Juanitas for a bourganvilla covered outdoor restaurant and Can Currune a meeting place for coffee or for a fresh delicious meal

There are several local shops within 5 minutes drive or 10 minutes drive to the seaside town of Santa Eularia

The riding stables south of Santa Gertrudis offers one of the best way to see the countryside.

Golf: 20 minutes drive to the golf course in Ibiza, Roca Llisa.

Notes

  • £1500 is to be made at the time of booking and the balance + damages deposit 8 weeks prior to arrival. Normally the rental period is from Friday to Friday 16.30pm arrival, 10.30am departure.
    A team of cleaners use these hours to prepare for new arrivals. An £1500 inventory and breakages deposit is payable when making the final rental payment, to protect against possible damage to the property and is refundable in full within 2 weeks of the end of stay, provided there is are no breakages or damage.

Tucked away in beautiful countryside Can Amonita had everything you would want from a getaway retreat. The owners are more than accommodating to your needs and provide you with a lovely home that has a heart! Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Can Amonita and would recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere peaceful to stay.

Mindfulness Retreat + B+B at Can Amonita 11th-16th

I've spent an amazing mindfulness retreat in Ibiza at Can Amonita. The mindfulness course, given by Cindy Ritmeester from Natural Soul, and the heart-warming and cosy ambiance created by Lizzy and Dominic, the hosts of Can Amonita, have made this an unforgettable holiday for me. I felt at home from the minute I walked in to this wonderful villa, situated in an oasis of peace in the green heart of this beautiful island. With its spectacular garden and pool and all the nice and quiet places to relax and enjoy in and outside the villa, I found all the peace I was hoping to get from this retreat. As Can Amonita is well-situated to visit the rest of the island, I had the opportunity to discover some stunning beaches and scenery.

Dear Lizzy and Dominic, thank you so much for sharing this great place and the great talks we had. It was very special for me. I hope you will continue the mindfulness with Cindy, whom I'd like to thank as well for sharing the philosophy and excercises of mindfulness with me. I'm looking forward to my next stay at your home !

Absolutely beautiful, gorgeous and amazing!

We were lucky enough to stay at this beautiful place for a week in July 2012.

It's hard to describe how wonderful it is... it's spacious (really spacious!), beautifully decorated, really well equipped, there's an outdoor (and indoor) sound system, it's incredibly peaceful, and the photos, particularly of the pool, really don't convey how lovely it is. The pool area is completely fabulous too - the size, the stone, the space around it, and the lovely cabin / shelter at the end of the pool that you can see in the photos, which is a lovely relaxing place to read.

The place was spotlessly clean and felt like a 5 star hotel (without other people around!).

The villa is located in a great part of the island, and you can reach stunning beaches and teeny empty coves, with just a short drive. There are great restaurants nearby, a lovely supermarket with fresh breads and great meats / cheeses and local produce just down the road (after the bumpy road up the hill), and you're about 10 minutes away from a famous place to have a great cocktail or 2.

The owners are lovely and incredible helpful.

We all agreed we had the best holiday ever. Did we want to leave? No. Do we want to go back next year? Definitely!

Stay at Can Amonita

Our stay at "Can Amonita" Villa far surpassed my expectations. It was fully stocked with all supplies, no need for anything, we even became addicted the game "Mancala" which was at the villa - I recommend you give it a go. The property and views are outstanding and the pool is stunning. This place is peaceful and secluded and surrounded by rural properties and orange trees. Although the property looks far from the main road we did walk down to what was "the Monkey Bar" (approximately 1 mile) and had great Tapas there.

Aura Restaurant and Club is also nearby. Charity & Elliott our housekeeper and driver also provided an excellent service and I have found Lizzy a pleasure to deal with... Easy no hassle.

Absolutely amazing spot...you will never regret having chosen it! We would definitely return.

Ibiza cool personified.

Mere words cannot portray the beauty and effortless cool this house provides. The beautiful entrance, with high Middle-Eastern walls, into an oasis of cool. Beautiful and quirky furniture, sensible but chic lighting and great floors, with a backdrop of flawless white walls.
Inside the villa is very well appointed, loads of space for everyone - comfortable beds, everything you need (including a god-send dishwasher).
But outside is where you will spend your time - the pool is stunning, clean and wonderfully refreshing. The grounds are well thought out - you can be together in groups or find your own little Ibizan heaven to sit in. As the villa is in the hills, you tend to get some wind that keeps the true bite of the heat away.... our favourite place was the 'pagoda' at the end of the pool (pictured). Billowing white curtains against a stunning backdrop.
With hire cars, get ones with more ground clearance than others, the road isn't great, and it can be tricky to find first of all. The electricity supply should be perfect shortly, and those are the downsides. Everything else is amazing, wonderful, perfect.... in fact it's so good, our group has booked again for the closing parties!
