All of our apartments have been named after famous Irish authors or poets which gives each apartment its own individual personality and gives guests the chance to experience the what it must have been like to live in a Victorian house many years ago.

We have just completed work on our W.B. Yeats and have restored it to some of it's former glory with original features such as the marble fireplaces, coving and a beautiful bay window overlooking Dublin city and mountains.

There is a double bed and a single bed in the main bedroom and there are 2 pull down sofa beds in the living area. This apartment sleeps 6 comfortably.

The James Joyce is located on the ground floor and has the same beautiful features such as the high ceilings, coving and marble fireplaces. This apartment sleeps 6 with 2 double beds in the main bedroom and a pull down sofa bed in the living area for 2 also which means it can sleep 6 in total.

The Samuel Beckett was our first apartment that we developed and has a more modern feel to it but provides every comfort and convenience that you would expect of a luxury holiday let. There is a double and a single bed in the main bedroom and a double pull down sofa bed in the main living area which allows for a total of 5 people to sleep comfortably.

Our Molly Malone studio sleeps 2/3 people comfortably and is the ideal location for exploring the city of Dublin. There is a double bed and a pull down sofa bed that's suitable for 1 person.

The kitchen is fully equipped and there is free WiFi. There is TV/DVD as well as a power shower in the bathroom.

There is a fully equipped kitchen in every apartment and dining area that will cater for all guests and the bathrooms are spacious and modern. For anyone considering an extended stay they can be guaranteed to enjoy all the comforts of home. A cot can be provided upon request.

These apartments have been lovingly restored to a very high degree while retaining a lot of the original features to provide a classic and extremely luxurious stay. All are luxury apartments with all the comforts of home.

It is a wonderful location close to all the attractions and sights while being a relaxing bright and spacious apartment to come home to at the end of the day.

The apartment is in a beautiful large red brick Victorian building on a tree lined street.

Within easy reach of the famous Temple bar area as well as the fabulous restaurants, museums, parks, Trinity College and Library, Farmleigh House and of course shopping that Dublin has to offer.

Easy walk to numerous bus stops and train stations that will connect you with the Luas which will connect you with all of Dublin. There are also a number of great restaurants and pubs within a 10 minute walk from the apartment which we can highly recommend.

You can visit a local pub called the Cobblestone just a short walk away that provides traditional Irish music for your entertainment and is a great night out.

We provide a welcome pack with the basics such as bread and milk etc to get you on your feet.

There is a major supermarket within a 5 minute walk so you will never run out of essentials. All mod cons are provided and there is linen and towels freshly laundered for your use.

For anyone considering exploring Ireland further there is a car hire company close by and Heuston Station is approx 15-20 minute walk.

The famous Guinness Storehouse is close at hand as well as the Jameson Distillery both of which run tours regularly and are worth a visit. Dublin is also renowned for it's famous Temple bar area for entertainment which is a bus ride away. For art lovers the Irish Museum of Modern Art is 15 minutes away and the National Museum of Ireland is 10 minutes away.

Trinity College, Kilmainham Gaol, Ryan's Victorian Pub, St. Patricks Cathedral, are just some other of the many wonderful attractions that are available.

For a small fee we can provide an airport transfer if requested and for anyone hiring a car there is free on street parking right outside the house.

All utilities and WiFi are included in the price also.

About Liam Travers

I come from a family background in the hospitality industry.

I grew up in Kildare which is about 45 minutes from Dublin and worked for many years in my parents hotel there.

I emigrated to New York for a number of years and when I returned in 1990 I purchased this property in Dublin City.

As I am a qualified builder and carpenter I undertook to restore this house over a number of years and restore it to some of its former glory. As you can see from the pictures there are a lot of original features which I managed to retain and I am pleased that I can finally share them with people from all over the world.

I am now living in Kildare again and am married with a daughter.

As my parents before me I am committed to providing all of my guests with a wonderful holiday experience in a beautiful period house. I am available at all times for my guest either by phone or email and am happy to answer any query.

Why Liam Travers chose Dublin

I chose this location for the proximity to the city centre and of course the beautiful Victorian Redbrick lined North Circular Road.

These properties are a feature of Dublin and are preserved by Dublin Council. The fact that the Phoenix Park and the Botanic gardens are within walking distances is an absolute plus, providing plenty of recreational activity. Numerous pubs, restaurants are within walking distance and I feel that the house provides a sense of character and charm not matched by modern buildings and houses.

What makes this apartment unique

There are a number of benefits to staying in this property. Located close to the heart of the city of Dublin there is an excellant transport system by bus and light rail that means all of the sights can be visited with the minimum of fuss. The building itself is a beautiful Victorian property that has unique charm while offering all the modern comforts that a guest could expect.

The location is ideal as it is quiet while being convenient to all shopping, sights, transport, museums etc. that makes a holiday. Located beside the Phoenix park which is Europe's largest urban park the traveller can have a taste of the country while still remaining in the city.

There truly is something for everyone.

Great base in Dublin

I recommend the airport transfer - it was very convenient. The flat itself was very clean, cozy and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It was nicely furnished and decorated and looked just like the photos online. The owner, Liam, was extremely kind, warm and helpful. He greeted us at the apartment when we arrived and showed us around. We felt welcomed. The only bathroom is located in the bedroom as an en-suite, but it was just the two of us so it wasn't a problem. I really liked the shower - good water pressure! I'm picky about that stuff... The fruit and bread was very much appreciated, as was the free WiFi. The location was good - a major supermarket, coffee shops and several good pubs/restaurants are a short walk away. We chose not to use the bus so we had a good 15 - 20 minute brisk walk everyday to get to the action. I'll be honest, there were times when we dreaded the walk home after a long day of sightseeing. We stayed out late a few times and the walk back at night was a bit sketchy. That was just our perspective as outsiders, but I'm sure the neighbourhood is actually quite safe. Overall, it was a great base during our stay and we would likely stay here again.

Cosy and confortable Victorian apartment

The apartment was exactly as shown in the pictures, light and clean. Newly refurbished and fully equiped. It offers all comodities in an excellent location at ten minutes distance by bus from the center. We enjoyed visiting museums, the Trinity College with the Books of Kell, and the Guiness Store was fun for the kids. You cannot miss Kilkenny and Malahide Castle. We can recomend you the Cobbleston bar with live Irish music and O'nneils for a typical Irish breakfast.

Great stay in Brendan Behan Apartment

We had 8 incredilble days in Dublin.
The apartment is newly refurbished and really comfortable and clean. As we had enough time we could walk to the city center every day. Either we spent some hours in town. Or we used great coach tours to experience other parts of the country.
Liam has always been available and had quick answers to all my questions. The handing over of the keys at arrival and departure were uncomplicated and reliable. We felt very welcome. Thanks for everything! Julia and Dustin from Berlin

Wonderful Flat!

Had a fabulous stay in the Yeats apartment.
Clean, Spacious and a great location.
The neighborhood is just far enough away from city center that you do not have to deal with all the other tourists but is close enough that you can see the sights in a short walk.
Also loved the immediate surroundings, great restaurants and less touristy pubs.

ENJOYABLE AND WELL APPOINTED APARTMENT

We spent three days in the WB Yeats apartment in Glen Court Apartments. It is located outside of the central area of Dublin, but on a main road and near two convenient bus lines that will quickly take you into the city. It’s also easy to catch a cab in front of the apartment. At first glance, the apartment building seems a bit sketchy, but once you enter the apartment, it is easy to appreciate the careful planning that went into its transformation into a comfortable vacation rental. Liam added a bathroom and kitchen facilities which are all well appointed and very functional. The washing machine/dryer combination worked well and was very useful. The bathroom is located off of the bedroom, so it is a little inconvenient for those traveling with a larger party (we had five), as everyone needs to go thru the bedroom to get to the loo. But that was a minor inconvenience, compared to the major benefits of a clean and comfortable apartment, located near a Tesco and public transportation.

This house is a beautiful Victorian building on a tree lined street adjacent to the Phoenix Park and and Botanic Gardens situtated just 10 minutes from the city centre.

There are 3 spacious and comfortable apartments The Samuel Beckett - Sleeps 5, The JAmes Joyce - Sleeps 6 and our recently refurbished and restored W B Yeats. The Samuel Beckett has a modern touch to it while we maintained a lot of the original features in our James Joyce and W B Yeats apartment that both have high ceilings, marble fireplaces, overmantles, coving and beautiful bay windows. We also have 2 studio apartments which are perfect for couples. The first is on the 3rd floor and is called the Molly Malone. This studio can sleep up to 3 people and has a double bed with a single pull down sofa bed. Then there is the newly completed Brendan Behan studio which can sleep 2 comfortably on the 4th floor. Both of these studios are bright and inviting with fully equipped kitchens and bathrooms.

We are located just 10 minutes from the city centre and have several bus routes that pass by the front door regularly. We are also close to the Luas (light rail) which covers all of Dublin.

This means that guests can enjoy the delights of the city and surrounding areas with ease and return to the relaxing calm of our apartments after a hard day sightseeing or shopping.

This location is perfect for the traveller as there is a major supermarket within a couple of minutes walk as well as a bakery, pharmacy, restaurants, coffee shops and pubs all within easy reach. Some of the pubs provide traditional Irish music for your entertainment and are a great night out.

These apartments have been lovingly restored and refurbished to a very high degree while retaining a lot of the original features to provide a classic and extremely luxurious stay. They are extremely comfortable and spacious with all the comforts of home which helps provides a wonderfully relaxing environment for the holidaymaker.

There is fridge with a small ice box, microwave, dishwasher and washer dryer so that anyone considering an extended stay can enjoy all the comforts of home. A cot can be provided upon request. For anyone considering exploring Ireland further there is a car hire company close by and Heuston Station is approx 15-20 minute walk.

If requested we can arrange an airport transfer for a fee.

While a car is not necessary we can provide free on street parking for guests.
