Family is important to us and that is why we want to make your family holiday as special as we can. We have looked after other peoples holiday lets and now enjoy letting our own holiday bungalow. We have made Clovelly as comfortable as we would like it, and want you to enjoy your holiday in Gorran Haven as much as we like living in Gorran Haven.

Jayne enjoys baking and bakes fresh scones for your arrival, so that you can enjoy your cream tea..

Jayne Holmes purchased this bungalow in 2011

Why Jayne Holmes chose Gorran Haven

We love Clovelly, it has a beautiful private garden, which is in full sun all day. The garden has flowering cherry trees which look beautiful in the spring when the blosson is out. The rooms are bright and nicely decorated, with lots of space to find a chair that suits you.

We have added Wi - Fi and a payphone.

Clovelly is far enough away from the beach to be peaceful but also near enough to walk to the beach in a few minutes.

Living in Gorran Haven means that we can look after Clovelly and if you do have any problems we are near enough to sort them out. We enjoy preparing Clovelly for each guest. We do want you to enjoy your holiday.

What makes this bungalow unique

Clovelly has its own enclosed garden, own parking. Peace and quiet. The post box and telephone box are just outside on the green, handy for posting all those postcards!

It is in walking distance of the local hotel, ideal for a meal out and handy walking distance to the local shop, teashops and beach.

Clovelly offers peace and quiet, a lovely garden to enjoy outdoor eating.

No stairs to climb, everything on one floor, with lots of rooms to choose to relax in.

We provide all bedding, towels and beach towels, allowing you more space in the car to bring the things you want to bring!

We also leave a cream tea for your arrival!

Guestbook comments from the owner

This is a perfect holiday home - clean, spacious, child friendly and already stocked with those things that make life easier but self catering doesn't normally provide. We had a wonderful stay and the cream tea was amazing! The garden is perfect for children and the location very peaceful, with fantastic views of the countryside. The beach is a 10 minute stroll away with a great local bakery and fish and chip shop there too. We'll be back!!

Outstanding service

Plenty to do & see in the area.

Beautiful beaches, shops 7 cliff walks in easy walking distance from the bungalow.

Wonderful home cooked meals from "Cornish country kitchen".

Beautiful bungalow, which had everything you could need for a great holiday. A lovely sized garden for my Granddaughter to play in and a tasty cream tea awaited us on our arrival, None of us wanted to leave at the end of the week, and yes, we will be booking to stay at Clovelly again!

Fantastic!

  • 5 of 5

Fantastic spacious Bungalow, which exceeded our expectations! Spotlessly clean, comfortable, homely with tasteful decor with a great attention to detail, lovely well kept gardens, great views of the countryside, short walk to the beach. These are just some of things which really stood out for us, but above all the owners were really warm and friendly, and went out of their way to accommodate our needs. Exemplary customer service! We would heartily recommend Clovelly and will definitely be returning! Many thanks!

Ideal holiday home

  • 5 of 5

What a super holiday home in a lovely location. The bungalow's garden is fully enclosed and super for the kids to play in and fully equipped with BBQ, sun loungers, patio table and chairs. The inside is comfortable, all the facilities you need and immaculately clean. If you want or need anything you can almost guaruntee the the owners have thought of it already.

The cream tea awaiting for us on arrival was wonderful and the owners are friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend Clovelly to family and friends as a great place to holiday.

This is a fabulous holiday home that has everything you could need. The wonderful enclosed garden is perfect for children to run free and the views make lounging in the conservatory a must! The house is spacious, immaculately clean and the beds are comfy. It is a 10 minute stroll down to the beach where you'll also find a great bakery/shop as well as fish and chip shop. We'll be back!

Everything you need and more.

  • 5 of 5

A wonderful, welcoming, roomy house which is clearly loved by the owners and they have thought of everything you could possibly need. The highlights for me were the welcoming cream tea after a long journey, the light and airy accommodation, and the garden which the children spent hours playing in leaving us to relax in the conservatories whilst still able to keep an eye on them. It was completely secure. Didn't want to leave and would definitely stay there again. So close to many National Trust venues as well as the well known local attractions (beach/Heligan/Eden/Mevagissey). The photos just don't do it justice.

Fabulous Family Holiday Home

  • 5 of 5

The location is wonderfully quiet with gorgeous views across the valley to the fields beyond. The beaches are lovely and only a short walk down the hill. We made good use of the great Fish & Chip shop and ate them on the harbour walls on a couple of evenings.

The cream tea for our arrival was delicious. Jayne's home cooked pies and cakes are highly recommended too. The payphone in the house has a direct line to the owners, this is a great idea and is a quick way of contacting them if the need arises. They live in the village too so are close by.

This is our second stay at Clovelly and having the beach towels provided this year was a great bonus. The house is very clean, comfortable and well equipped, a real home from home. Our 10 year old daughter was delighted to find the jigsaws and these kept her busy for hours. The garden is pretty and very private the kids had a lovely time running around.

We had wonderful weather and spent much time on the beaches but we took a few day trips. We all thoroughly enjoyed The Lost Gardens of Heligan, the Shipwreck Centre at Charlestown and the Royal Regatta at Fowey. We returned to the farm shop and the restaurant at Heligan to stock up on supplies and also to have a lovely meal.

This is one of the best holiday homes we have ever stayed in and I am sure we will be back in the future.

perfect in everyway

  • 5 of 5

We choose this bungalow as it unusually had a single bedroom with en-suite which was ideal for my elderly father who also sometimes needs a wheel chair and needed the privacy. It couldnt have been more perfect for us! It has 2 sunrooms/conservatories, so Dad could have a snooze in one whilst we played games or did pilates in the other. The good sized kitchen was extremely well stocked and even had an extendable worktop area if you were preparing loads! There was tupperware and even cake baking equipment! Amazing! Not that you need it as Jane will bake and deliver cakes and home cooked dinners for you, which had we stayed longer we would have taken advantage of as the menu choices looked good and were reasonably priced. There were board games and postcards available in the dining room. (which we did take advantage of) And when we were struggling to get the barbeque going, I had a look in one of the cupboards and lo and behold, firelighters! (and charcoal had we run short!) The bungalow was located in a good place for us to drive to a lot of places of interest such as the Eden project and Lost Heligan gardens. And the beach, little general shop, fish and chip etc are not too far to walk to. And did I mention the freshly made scones, jam and clotted cream laid out on the table for when we arrived! With milk and tea! All you need to pack are your clothes and beach towels!
