Amazing views, perfect outdoors and super clean
We had a wonderful 6 days in the house. Kids and adults really enjoyed the swimming pool, probably the best that we have done in Tobago . The house has everything and is clean. The outdoor entertainment area is perfect and we would come back anytime . Thank you for the stay Fabien and sally

WOW!WOW! WOW!
WOW! WOW! WOW! This is our second time here. Myself, my boyfriend, my sister & her boyfriend just couldn't have wished for a better holiday, again! The house has EVERYTHING you could ever wish for a relaxing time. It's like a home from home but with an infinity pool and 28 degree heat! There's plenty to explore on the island and a plethora of delicious local eateries, but who wants to leave such an amazing house in such a wonderful setting? Not me! We did venture out on a short walk to watch the sun set, which was topped off nicely by the engagement of my sister and her boyfriend! We couldn't have asked for a better setting and a nicer place to remember it by. Thank you.

Kapinjala...We'll be back!
We have just returned from a fabulous fortnight at Kapinjala, our third trip, and certainly not our last. What a wonderful place to spend time relaxing with friends and family, taking in those spectacular views from the terrace and cooling off in the stunning infinity pool. The house itself is spacious, with comfortable bedrooms, each with their own bathrooms and plenty of living space, though we spent the majority of our stay on the pool deck and under the covered terrace. The kitchen is a pleasure to cook in, and well equipped when compared with other holiday rentals; we cooked most of our evening meals on the barbeque on the terrace - slow cooked BBQ ribs, surf and turf, shrimp, the list goes on! On the rare occasions that we were able to drag ourselves away from the villa we enjoyed exploring the beaches of the island (our favourite being Englishman's Bay) and sampling the different restaurants that the local area has to offer. All in all we had a wonderful holiday and have booked to return for our winter sun in November 2015, we can't wait!

Happy memories
We enjoyed an incredible 2 weeks in Tobago, staying in Kapinjala. Kapinjala is everything we imagined it would be - simply breathtaking views, well thought out and presented accommodation and an exceptional pool area and terraces. The pool definitely has the wow factor! The owners regularly stay in the villa and look after it well (the month before we arrived new tiling had been installed around the pool). In my opinion what also helps to set Kapinjala apart is the people involved in its care and their relationships with the owners. Helen, the villa manager deserves special mention - nothing is too much trouble and she is brilliant at what she does, a true professional. We had such a busy fortnight that our only regret was not having another week to enjoy and really make the most of what Kapinjala has to offer.

Serenity in Tobago
I had the opportunity to spend 5 amazing days at this wonderful Villa. As soon as you arrive you are drawn into the serenity of the place. It has a spa like feel that from the onset encourages you to relax and soak up the atmosphere and when you see the view through the french doors in the living room you find it hard to want to do anything else other than jump in the infinity pool and never move again! The villa is secluded so you will need to hire a car to explore the wonders of the island however do not let the seclusion put you off as security is provided and there is a more than adequate security system. The villa provides everything that is required to have a relaxed vacation and if you can't find what you need Helen the House Manager is only a phone call away to help with anything that you require or any questions you may have. There were 8 adults in our party and so used all 4 bedrooms. The couple that stayed in the fourth bedroom had no problem and in fact made the most of the unique position to be able to study the birds that came to visit every day. Some of our party, myself included, didn't move from beside the pool but the rest had a great time exploring and did make the trip down to the beach on a couple of occasions. They did not encounter any problems but did go in a group and did not take any personal possessions with them. It was very hard to leave and we all said that we would love to come back and spend longer at this amazing Villa.

About the host

Host profile image
Simon, Kim and David Partridge are the English owners of Kapinjala, Tobago. We fell in love with Tobago in 2003 and our many visits for both holidays and to oversee the construction of our dream villa have developed our knowledge and fondness for this wonderful island and its people. We are pleased to share this knowledge with our guests and assist in the planning of your trip to ensure a wonderful and memorable experience. We can help with your plans for eating out, car hire, scuba diving, rain forest trips, boat trips and so much more.

Why they chose this property

We purchased the plot of land in 2005 and started construction in 2006 with completion in May 2007. Tobago is one of the last unspoilt islands in the Caribbean with fantastic coastlines, beaches and a stunning rain forest. The snorkeling and scuba diving is some of the best in the world. Our experience was and has continued to be one of an island of sheer beauty, friendly people, a great climate and a very laid back attitude, culminating in the most relaxing holidays we have ever had. Kapinjala is away from the crowds but not isolated as nothing is very far away on the small island of Tobago. Our family, friends and guests have all loved Kapinjala and Tobago - why don't you come and see for yourself just how wonderful it is.

What makes this property unique

Kapinjala is only twenty five minutes from the airport but enjoys peace and tranquility with wonderful panoramic views of the tropical rain forest, Arnos Vale Bay, Buccoo Reef and Pigeon Point. Kapinjala stands on its own with a fully equipped kitchen, BBQ and great indoor and outdoor areas for entertaining. The spectacular infinity pool - approximately 20ft by 40ft - is great for swimming and just chilling out. It is also possible to do either the Bubble Maker course
(introduction to scuba for children under 10) or a PADI scuba course in the pool. The wonderful wildlife in the garden means there is always something to see from hummingbirds to lizards, from Mot Mots to Frigate Birds. Most importantly, we know our guests will return home having had the most relaxing holiday imaginable.
