Guestbook comments from the owner

A lovely environment, peaceful setting, a truly rural retreat. Thank you. April 2014

The most beautiful garden and environment. Thanks for letting us participate in the flowers, the bread for the ducks, the cat, the dog and the nice cottage. We would like to come back.(Belgium) June 2013

Gardener's Cottage is charming, comfortable and well equipped in idyllic surroundings and ideally placed for many interesting and beautiful places. We have really enjoyed our week and would love to return for further exploration and to enjoy the peace and tranquility. April 2013

A superb little Cottage

  • 5 of 5

We got a warm welcome on our arrival. We enjoyed our stay at this superb little cottage. car parking is close to the entrance door. Very clean and well maintained. Ideal for allsorts of attractions. Lots of places to eat, we went to different pubs, the food was good at all the pubs we went to. We would 100% recommend it. It's on a small estate, where you can feed the ducks! Very quite and peaceful.

Beautiful Staplehurst, Kent

  • 5 of 5

Staying at the Gardener's Cottage is a great experience. A beautiful location, quiet nature nearby Staplehurst. A very nice cottage, well equipped, clean and a relaxed atmosphere. The trainstation is nearby and the train to London takes less than a hour. The gardens at Sissinghurst are beautiful, aspecially in the spring. The Cathedral of Canterbury is a must see. 5 Days was to short, so will be back next year to enjoy again a beautiful springtime.

Gardener's Cottage

Excellent cottage, very warm and well maintained. The owner was readily available when we had an issue with the shower and was very helpful. Situated in amazing grounds and there was a lovely field very close by where our dog was able to have a good run every day. Ideally situated to roads which enabled us to go out searching for properties every day. Shops, restaurants and takeaway just a short drive away. We always enjoyed coming back to the peace and tranquility of the surroundings and cottage after a busy day.

Owner's Response: As our guests state we are fortunate to be in a secluded rural location but with easy access to shops and restaurants. We are well positioned for access to the motorway network and only a few minutes drive away from a main line station to London. Although our guests have privacy we are available to offer help and local knowledge if required.

KENT garden of england

  • 5 of 5

A listing description could never justify the beauty of this location set in such fantastic grounds/countryside. Gardeners cottage being adjacent to the owners' lovely Manor house ensures a wonderful setting in grounds of (i believe) 15 acres of unspoilt country grounds. This provides an experience in itself to stay in such a lovely 'garden of England' setting. As for owner's service they did us proud by going on holiday the week we were staying so we had the whole place to ourselves! My wife and I have stayed in numerous scenic locations in a variety of Countries and recommend this property very highly. Accomodation itself cannot be faulted with spacious kitchen and large lounge/bedroom/spare single bedroom easily accomodating 2/3 people. Situated near various lovely Kentish Pub/Restaurants/villages close to Chatham docks, Rye, Romney Hythe Dymchurch Railway,South coast & London, if you can drag yourself away from Kent. Highly recommended. One very slight niggle: if the toilet is needed in the night it's downstairs whilst half asleep!

Owner's Response: It is lovely to share our beautiful, peaceful setting with our guests many of whom return again.
