A view from the Antique palace - romantic apt for 2 guests inside the walls

My mom and I had the wonderful opportunity to stay in this beautifully appointed apartment for the first week of June 2012. We were so impressed with the apartment and the attention to detail. The photos do NOT do this rental justice. It is in fact, so much nioer if you can believe that. Ms. Sonia was amazing. So prompt and effiicent and knowledgeable. After giving us an orientation of the apartment and the amazing town of Lucca, Ms. Sonia left us to enjoy the apartment with complete privacy yet we knew she was just a phone call away. I could go on and on but let me just say that the location was perfect. Close to everything. A five minute walk to the train station if you wished a day trip somewhere. Bike rentals seconds away. The kitchen fully equipped. The bathroom fixtures were very high quality, never a problem with water pressure which often can be an issue there. My husband and I stayed for five nights in Sonia's homey and convenient apartment in Lucca. The location was superb, (couldn't be better) and the friendly, welcoming hospitality was second to none. Sonia was warm and anxious to please in any way she could. There was wine to greet us and we almost felt like local. The interiors of the property have been designed very carefully with a charming result. I have no hesitation recommending this apartment.

This was an excellent property especially for a long term rental. Excellent not only in the apartment's appointments but location as well. With approximately 900 square feet, an elegant master bedroom, a separate dining room with a sofa and a couch for additional sleeping, a lovely light filled living room overlooking the Corso Garibaldi street and the town roofs, full sized kitchen with all of the modern appliances, and, BONUS, a separate laundry room. Oh, and I forgot to mention an amazing bathroom with a very large shower. While it could be cold, the double walled windows and door kept the breeze out, and the excellent heating units in each room were really appreciated and provided great relief. Back to location, excellent for walking to all of the sights and public transportation. The Cathedral and its museum and square with the antique market was right next door, the railway station just over the street, the parking was right around the block, as was the Saturday Market. The greeter was most helpful and available if we needed anything. And, we enjoyed the weekly cleaning and change of towels/linens service provided so that made us feel more like we were on vacation. The groceries stores are conveniently located right across the street and there was a wonderful bakery and deli with ready made items - quick and tasty. I have to say my experience renting with this owner receives an A+ grade. I found Sonia to be very responsive and helpful, and totally prepared us for just about any and all concerns including using a phone in Italy, best way to obtain Euros (ATM), etc., etc. If I have a future opportunity, I would most certainly select and recommend this apartment to all my friends.
