Jenny Ash or Ian Wellwood
My name is Jenny and I used to be a full time nurse - I am now retired and concentrate on voluntary work with Alzheimers patients in Godalming where I now live. I grew up in Cornwall and trained at Guy's hospital in London. I lived with my partner at Newhouse Farm Cottage for 14 years until it became too large to manage. Although we now live in Godalming we still maintain the Arboretum. I also teach Yoga from time to time.
The chalet is set in the Grounds of the historic Arboretum which we bought back in 1998 when we fell in love with the setting and the seclusion together with the dramatic tree and shrub planting. The Arboretum was planted by the grandson of the famous plant hunter Robert Fortune who brought the tea plants from China to India in the 19th century.
I taught Yoga in the Chalet for 10 years but now this is not feasible because of our new home in Godalming. Because the place has such a calming effect on people and is ideal for relaxation - it is ideal for getting away from the stresses and strains of every day life in the workplace.
