Photos and Description of this 6 bedroom holiday villa in Pistoia - Villa Le Panche
5 bedrooms ensuite, 14 beds near Pistoia, 40 minutes from Florence and Lucca
The villa was originally built in 1718, next to a medieval inn, when Colombino Bassi, Bishop of Pistoia and Prato, decided to set a country home for his summer retreat. Such a strong historic context, coupled with the proximity to the Reno river, makes of Villa Le Panche a charming destination.
The Bishop’s House has been completely restructured maintaining the characteristic elements of the original building. At ground floor there is a spacious fully equipped kitchen, a dining room and a large living-room with a beautiful central fireplace.
From the entrance, original 18th Century stairs lead to the upper floors where 5 bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms, and a cute supplementary bedroom with bunk beds are located. Another wide lounge with a billiard table (and queen size sofa bed) is located at the mansard roof level.
At the entrance level, in communication with the garden and the swimming pool, there is a fitness room with gym equipment, a 4 place sauna and a maxi jacuzzi (7 places).
Villa Le Panche offers a large private garden which stretches between the villa and the banks of the river Reno. The garden is fully fenced in order to ensure the privacy of our guests, the safety of their children and to prevent access to wildlife
The swimming pool measures 10m. in length, 5m. in width and is heated by a heating pump.

Autumn in Tuscany: Our region is worldwide famous for its cultural heritage and sweet landscapes. Nevertheless, Tuscany can also be loved for the quality of its agricultural products and the taste of the traditional dishes.
Autumn is definitely the best season to appreciate this side of Tuscany's charm. This is the time of grapes harvesting (vendemmia), pressing of the olives ('olio nuovo') while on the Apennines it is possible to taste seasonal specialties made with chestnuts, porcini mushrooms and game (especially wild boars).
