Two FOUR STAR character cottages with panoramic sea views offering charming and comfortable self-catering accommodation with stunning views of St Michael's Mount and a stone's throw to the beach. The cottages, hidden from view but only a 2 minutes walk to the town centre, offer flexible accommodation perfect for family, party or romantic get away for couples. Both properties have fully equipped kitchens and central heating, private parking and gardens. Trevara is a very large cottage sleeping 6 with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, separate WC, games room, kitchen, dining room, sun room and upstairs balcony.Trevara accepts incoming telephone calls. Little Trevara sleeps 4 with 2 bedrooms, bathroom and open plan kitchen living area, and large upstairs patio for alfresco dining. Both cottages are comfortably furnished and have digital TV, DVD player and free access to wireless internet.There are washing machines and a tumble dryer for guests use. Travel cot, high chair available on request.

The entrance hall, dining room and fully equipped kitchen are slate tiled with beamed ceiling. A further games room has a small snooker table. Also provided are digital TV, DVD player, free wireless internet and telephone which accepts incoming calls only Upstairs are 3 bedrooms (1 double/ 2 twin), large balcony and two bathrooms, both with shower + separate WC. St Michael's Mount in Marazion is the jewel in Cornwall's crown and is a prime coastal location situated in Mounts Bay which sweeps from Lizard Point to Land's End. The old market town of Marazion offers many amenities : shops, pubs, art galleries, sailing club, wind and kite surfing, bird watching and one of the safest sandy beaches in Cornwall.

A five minutes car journey brings you to the bustling town of Penzance and a further 20 minutes you arrive at Lands End with some of the most spectacular beaches and rugged cliffs. This coast is seeped in history, ship wrecks and dramatic mine chimneys standing out on the sky line.

The quaint village of Moushole with its spell binding Christmas lights and the theatrical setting of the Minnack Theatre, built high on the cliff rocks looking out to sea, are a short distance drive, whilst the world renowned Eden Project is 45 minutes away. Stunning coastal walks and beautiful gardens are all close at hand for wonderful days out.

  • All the bedrooms are well furnished and with loads of of character. Very large main bedroom with sea views to St Michaels Mount and the bay. This leads out onto a wonderful balcony with sweeping views of the bay from outside. Bedroom 2 large with sea-view. Bedroom 3 smaller but with 2 single beds.

Notes: Although old and charming, the cottage offers spacious living space, however because of the age of the property the ceilings are beamed and low so care must be taken in passing through doorways. Trevara is suitable for the elderly but the suitability depends on the agility of the person. There are two staircases and the toilet facilities are upstairs only. The garden is laid to grass and also has 2 stone patios. A table and chairs are provided for outside eating and drinking with lovely views overlooking the bay.

A wonderful stay

We spent three fantastic days in the Trevara cottage during Easter 2013. We were four adults and three children, and none of us wanted to leave. The children were thrilled to discover the small snooker table, a myriad of rooms, and the cosy living room with a TV and DVD player. The cottage has a good and functioning kitchen, and all the facilities you would need. And on top of this? The most spectacular view you could imagine: St Michael’s Mount with the medieval castle. The cottage is a wonderful base to discover the town of Marazion and the nearby districts of Cornwall. We would love to come back, and recommend it to anyone hoping for that special holiday you never forget.

Magical and magnificent!

Having stayed in the area for many. many years, we chose to stay here for 2012. We were sooo pleased when we arrived! It is a beautiful property, far exceeded our expections from what we saw on the internet. It is very clean and tidy through out the propery and well maintained. The kitchen is modern and well equipped. the twin room with its own bathroom was well received by teenage son! The other twin room was a good size plenty of room for two teenage girls and their stuff! useful toilet next to bathroom - which had shower bath and loo. the master bedroom is magnificent!! the balcony over looking the mount and the sea is a place to spend a few hours, leave the curtain open at the end of the room - you can wake up and hear and see the sea! even some seals visited one morning. The lounge is very spacious and comfy plenty of room for 6 people. The garden is great - plenty of seating and lovely views again! If you are concerned about the narrow lane to get to the property - dont be! We have Audi A6 estate and that fitted - just - it was better to have someone watching you in and out - bult we soon got used to it! The lady caretaker was lovely very helpful and friendly. out and about to visit - the Mount and its gardens, lands end, st ives, mevegissy, the lizard - have lunch right down the bottom its a fab cafe, then walk to Kynance! Flambards, Trebah Gardens, paradise park, the go kart track by it, Penzance town = have a walk along the prom or brave the open air pool! the town is great for shopping. eating: godolphin arms, old school house nr st ives, the meadery in newlyn, chinese buffet on A460 nr perenuthenoe. beaches - marazion for little ones, Praa sands for surfing and body boarding! sandy beach but sea has big waves which may scare smaller children! Kynance Cove is breathtaking - nice cafe, but no life guards on the beach bit! If you are thinking about booking this cottage - then do so!! you too will fall in love with the area and this gem of a place

Just Perfect

Loved this holiday, we have been to Marazion five years running and Trevara is just minutes away from the lovely little town, The cottage has the most beautiful view of St Michael's Mount which you can admire whilst sitting on the cottage balcony.

The cottage was welcoming and very spacious. It was fully equipped with everything you could need and everything is clean and well maintained. The enclosed garden was a blessing and gave the dogs freedom to run around.

I would recommend this cottage again and again........mmmmm should I be saying that when it means that we might have more difficulty getting a booking when people realise just how lovely this cottage and location is!
