Photos and Description of this 3 bedroom holiday villa in Lindos - Villa Selini, Psaltos, Lindos

A secluded location within easy reach of the facilities of Lindos and Pefkos

As you enter through the front gate an enclosed, private garden gives you your first impression of the Mediterranean style villa. The sparkling blue waters of the pool glitter and wink at you as you walk past to the front door and patio.

On the ground floor through the front door a modern and well equipped kitchen occupies a large, light space and will satisfy your needs whether you only use the kitchen to make a morning coffee or cook a gourmet meal. This open plan area flows through to a comfortable lounge with stylish furniture and Satellite TV, DVD and stereo at your disposal.

Patio windows lead out on to a large balcony ideal for sunbathing or watching the sun set and rise. Towering clay pots and comfortable sun loungers adorn the patio alongside wooden table and chairs for outdoors dining. The pergola covering the patio is also tiled which acts as a welcome shield against the roaring midday sun, a private spot to enjoy fantastic views of Navarone Bay

The southern Aegean Islands Region – Dodecanese: Rhodes is the largest island in the Dodecanese, the 3rd largest in Greece, nestling in the south-eastern Aegean Sea near the Turkish coast. It is popular with sun-worshippers being said to enjoy more days of sunshine than place any in the Mediterranean. Legend says that the sun god Helios claimed the island for himself as Rhodes rose out of the sea more than 2000 years ago. One thing is for sure, if you love the sun and you love Greece, Rhodes will not disappoint.

Rhodes offers something for everyone: the north bustles with resorts and the World Heritage “Old Town” of Rhodes – a historic cornucopia, yet a living and thriving residential, cultural and commercial centre. Farther down the east coast is one of the three ancient capitals, Lindos, which is a tourist “must see” – history and beauty combined, with the coastline peppered with quaint villages and many of the Blue Flag beaches of Rhodes.

The beaches of Lindos and Pefkos are just a short drive away. The best of the island's many Blue flag beaches are on the eastern coast within easy reach by car.

A drive to the south of the island finds the best beaches for sailing and windsurfing. The rugged west coast is accessed over the picturesque mountains, with many castles, monasteries and churches worth a visit.

The Lindos/Pefkos area is an excellent choice for couples or families.

Main attractions:

-Excellent beach with facilities and water sports.

-Friendly locals.

-Walking distance or short car/taxi ride to either the village of Lindos or Pefkos.

Local excursions:

-Full island guide provided on booking enquiry.

Activities and entertainment:

-Water Park (Europe's largest) 30 min drive a way.

Climate and weather:

The temperature soars in July and August and is often hovering around 40 degrees. April and May are months of few tourists and great for nature lovers as the island is a carpet of wild flowers.

Winter rain fall produces an emerald isle of spring greenery and lush vegetation. June sees that island starting to get busy with visitors from every corner of Europe. Luckily mile upon mile of sandy beaches mean that even in August you will still find a spot on the beach to soak up some sun and sea. The winter climate is very clement which makes Rhodes an ideal spot for some winter sun - however be prepared for the island as it is with no tourist trappings.

Guestbook comments from the manager

Fab holiday! First time to Rhodes and as a family we loved it!

Loved Villa Selini - very friendly! We felt at home and safe immediately! Great accommodation in a really convenient place. Rhodes is beautiful - so clean and friendly! Our boys loved Lardos Bay, Tsampika beach and the Waterpark! and so did we! We hired our own boat from Pefkos - Lee Beach which we thoroughly enjoyed and found the choice of boats there better than at other bays. As a family we enjoyed Pefkos in the evenings - think the boys got more from this resort. They loved Palm Beach Bar where they could kick a ball around the pool area! Everyone here is very friendly. Thanks Greek Boutique - we've had an amazing holiday!

Rhodes offers something for everyone: the north bustles with resorts and the World Heritage “Old Town” of Rhodes – a historic cornucopia, yet a living and thriving residential, cultural and commercial centre. The farther south you roam, the quieter things are.

Golf: Afandou Golf Course: One 18-hole, par-73, golf course (6800 yards), designed by Britain's world famous golf course architect, Donald Harradine. Since May 1973 the 18 holes have been made available to golfers. The course's tactical features are a challenge to good scoring, both for amateurs and professionals. The trees, fairways, and greens are laid with different grasses selected to keep the course green throughout the year. The Golf Club is open all the year round. Admission fees are nominal and caddies, caddy carts, golf clubs and balls, as well as instructions, are available at moderate hire charges.

Notes:
Towering clay pots and comfortable sun loungers adorn the patio alongside wooden table and chairs for outdoors dining. The pergola covering the patio is also tiled which acts as a welcome shield against the roaring midday sun. A super spot to sit and watch the sun rise or set and listen to the sounds of the Greek countryside. The private garden and pool are at your disposal to enjoy the amazing weather we enjoy here on Rhodes. The large balcony accessible from the 1st floor also offers a private spot to enjoy fantastic views of Navarone bay and is furnished with a small table and chairs as well as sun loungers. Utmost attention to detail both inside and out. An unashamedly Mediterranean garden patio with a pool, walled in and so private that you feel like you are cosily contained in a courtyard. The hillside scent of herbs wafts in, the only sound being the occasional goat on the hillside.
