Two bedroomed apartment in Sapphire Beach condos with wifi and ipod dock

Sapphire Beach is a contemporary condominium property located right on Dover Beach in St Lawrence Gap. It enjoys real privacy with two pools in the grounds of the property and private gates onto the beach. There is 24 hour security, a gym and allocated car parking (although no car required) on site. There is a supermarket within a few hundred yards and dozens of restaurants and bars just a leisurely stroll along the 'Gap'. Apartment 115 is on two floors with an en suite twin bedroom with its own private patio plus laundry room on the ground floor and an en suite bedroom with king size bed, fully equipped kitchen, lounge and balcony on the first floor. The interior is designed in a contemporary style with a dining table on the balcony to seat 6 people. Free Wifi and an ipod dock is available and from the balcony you can watch the famous Barbados sunset with a rum punch in your hand. A great place to relax and chill out.

About Mark Newton

We live in the UK (Northampton) and are both recently retired. We both like sport in general and cricket in particular so have enjoyed many trips to the Caribbean to watch England play over the years. In 2009 we decided to purchase the unit at Sapphire Beach in Barbados both as an investment but also as a place to spend time during the British winter. Currently we manage a couple of trips a year so can keep a close eye on the property.

Why Mark Newton chose St. Lawrence Gap

We chose Sapphire Beach off plan because of its location right on Dover Beach at the end of St Lawrence Gap with bars and restaurants within walking distance so no need to hire a car on a day to day basis. The duplex nature of the unit means direct access to the pool area from the ground floor and a balcony to watch the sunsets and the world go by on the first floor without having to use the communal lifts to the upper floor properties.

Barbados is a beautiful island and the people are friendly and welcoming.

The unit is a modern build so has all the contemporary design and facilities you want (incl free WiFi) yet still provides the charm and romance of a 'place on the beach'.

Fantastic holiday

We stayed at the apartment in January and were very impressed with both the accommodation and location.
The apartment is equipped to a very high standard and is just as described in the information.
The view from the balcony is fabulous.
The area has a beautiful beach which is just a minute away from this apartment.
It is an easy walk to some excellent restaurants.
Mark and Sue dealt with our enquiries with a prompt, friendly and professional manner.

Wonderful

Fantastic split level condo on the amazing Dover beach in St Lawrence gap which is walking distance to great restaurants and nightlife. Extremely comfortable with an amazing view over the Caribbean and just a few steps to the pool/sea with a great beach bar just around the corner.

Four of us [myself/wife along with daughter and her partner] stayed there for a week at Xmas and hired a car but did not really need it as everything was so close. Nice little grocery just down the road which has everything you need for your stay along with a nearby ATM. I have to say that it was one of most relaxing vacations we have had in many years and we have already made another booking to stay during Christmas 2014.

To sum up ... quite superb

Wonderful Apartment in Perfect Location!

We have just recently returned from a stay at 115 Sapphire Beach and I really can't rate the apartment highly enough! Firstly as others have mentioned, the service from Mark and Sue was first class. All emails and questions were answered really promptly and with such friendliness that we didn't hesitate to book. The fact that one of the maids told us that Mark and Sue are her favourite owners at Sapphire Beach says it all really!
Now onto the apartment; I looked at many listings before I decided on number 115 and am glad I chose this one. 115 is located in the third block right at the end of the pool and gives a real sense of privacy. The apartment is spacious, modern and well equipped with everything you could need for a self catering holiday in Barbados. The kitchen is well equipped with cooker, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, coffee maker and large fridge freezer. We really enjoyed our coffee and toast in the mornings sitting on the balcony overlooking the beautiful Caribbean Sea. We also made good use of the ice-maker attached to the freezer. We didn't use the downstairs bedroom as we were there as a couple but it is very nicely furnished with two twin beds, TV, decent sized fridge and its own bathroom. This bedroom also has the patio outside with direct access to the pool which we used on a few occasions. The upstairs bedroom has a very large king size bed which we found very comfortable and also has a TV and two spacious walk in closets (with a safe in one of them to store valuables) and ensuite bathroom. The living area is equipped with large TV and lovely modern furnishings and we made good use of the Bose sound dock with our ipods. We also really liked the balcony on this apartment as it is fully open and I think gives a much more spacious feel and a better view of the beautiful sea. The pool area and gardens are beautifully landscaped and very well maintained. There is security on site 24hrs and we always felt very safe. The apartment was in a great location being about a ten minute walk from the gap with lots of bars and restaurants. There is also a small convenience store called the Dover Market a few minutes walk away.
Lastly, Dover Beach is absolutely beautiful! Soft white sand and glorious turquoise sea! The water was really calm while we there so it was lovely to swim in and this is where we spent most of our time.

My wife and I (36 and 35) and our 1.5 year old daughter had without question one of the BEST vacations/holidays one could have at Sapphire Beach 115. On previous trips to the Dover Beach hotels I witnessed this building being constructed first hand and knew it would be special once it opened. Let me tell you it did not dissapoint! The quality of construction, the amenities, the grounds, the pools (yes 2 pools), the sense of security (not that it is needed in Barbados) and exclusivity were all top notch and certainly must rival that of the West Coast developments. Furthermore, the owners Mark and Sue make you feel like friends almost immediately upon inquiring about their property. This level of comfort with Mark and Sue cannot be overstated especially when your renting an apartment from someone very far away from where you live.
The apartment is huge and delivers the ultimate in Barbados vacations/holidays on 2 floors overlooking the pool and out to the ocean. Restaurants, bars and a convenience store are all very short walk away which is even more important for a family with a baby/toddler in tow. I also should not forget the beautiful Dover Beach directly in front of you where beach chairs are available for rent.
This was our 5th trip to Barbados in as many years and we are so glad we found this apartment and its owners. We will be hard pressed to stay anywhere else ever again when in Barbados (as a matter of fact we just booked another stay!!)

Fantastic !!

Spent 9 days here end of November beginning of December. What a beautiful place, the views are to die for. We had breakfast on the balcony every morning gazing out to the beautiful turquoise sea. If only I could wake up to a view like that every day. Apartment was clean and well maintained with everything you could possibly want. Nice change to have beach towels provided. Didn't use the pools an awful lot as the sea was too enticing and just steps away. We like the South of the Island as there is always plenty to do and its lovely mix with local people. We always hire a car and parking was beside the apartment - very convenient. Security was also good here and very friendly. Going back ?............why yes of course !!

St Lawrence Gap is on the south coast of Barbados and is an increasingly popular part of the island for visitors. It has a host of high quality restaurants and bars all within walking distance of each other where visitors mix with the locals in complete harmony. Sapphire Beach Apartments is right on Dover Beach which is recognised as one of the best beaches on the island. The famous sunsets can be seen from the beach and apartment. The airport is 15/20 minutes away as is the capital, Bridgetown. The village of Oistins is about 4 miles away and is famous for its fish market and Friday Night Fish Fry where all the locals go for a great party night of food and music. The island has many attractions but it really is the place for chilling out and relaxing.

Golf: Rockley Golf Club is a 9 hole course about 2 miles away. The Barbados Golf Club is approx 4 miles away and is a full 18 hole championship golf course with good clubhouse facilities and a driving range.

Located right on Dover Beach just a short walking distance from the many bars, restaurants and shops in St Lawrence Gap, the contemporary property was constructed in 2009 is well equipped throughout with free access to wireless broadband. There is an ipod dock provided and there is the ability to connect the ipod to the 46' TV in the lounge. A maid comes in to change linen and clean twice a week. There is a good supermarket within 200 yards open until 9pm each night. Whilst a car is not required on a day to day basis, Express car hire is opposite the main entrance with taxis freely available in the Gap for the odd day out. Bicycle and scooter hire also available. All visitors will receive a 'Meet and Greet' schedule with much information when booking through the owners, Mark & Sue Newton.
