Once in a lifetime stay

Oia is unique and to stay in a gorgeous and unique cave house was a truly magical experience. What sets this house apart from the others is the size of the outdoor space. It may not have a plunge pool but the two terraces offer fabulous views of the caldera. All the rooms are clean, well appointed and are lovely and cool in the July heat. Access is not possible if you cannot manage steps, but Kostis arranged porters to and from so we did not have to worry about our luggage. I could not recommend this house and Oia highly enough, it was far better than we ever imagined. If we are ever in Santorini again I would definitely come back.

Wow - Location location location

What can I say ? Superb accomodation in the most wonderful location. Dreamlike views over the Caldera. Santorini has been on our bucket list for years and to stay in an apartment in the heart of probably the most iconic village in the whole of Greece was quite something. The apartment appears to have been dug out of the rock and overlooks the Caldera. We loved the raised terrace where we sat out each night watching the catamarans and cruise ships sail gently past. The accomodation was spotlessly clean, spacious and suited our needs well. Very cool in the baking heat of the mid afternoon. The apartment is close to the heart of Oia with its wide selection of shops to cater for all pockets and wonderful restaurants. We ate out every night and did not have a bad meal - special shout out to the Restaurant Flora which was particularly good - check out the local speciality Tomato Fritters - to die for. Kostis is an excellent host - I don't think he is local so all communication was done via the site and all queries were answered speedily. The most easy transfer we have ever experienced - it is so reassuring to arrive to find a smiling driver holding a card with your name on it. Big thanks to Sudip who met us from the transfer and carried our bags to the apartment. All arranged by Kostis. You do need to be fit in Oia there are lots of steps and this may not be the place for those with mobility issues. So glad we came and so glad we stayed here.

Fabulous property

This is a wonderful property with spectacular views. The owner was helpful in arranging transfers and carrying luggage to and from the property. the property is clean and the beds are comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you could possibly need. A great holiday in a spectacular place. Thank you Kostis

Great experience!

Staying in a cave home has been a dream of mine since we last visited 30 years ago. Kostas was the perfect host and helped us in so many ways, especially with logistics of arrivals and departure. We could never have arranged it so seamlessly on oùr own navigating the stairs and luggage. While it was a great experience, I would suggest you not wait until you are my age (80) to do the cave home experience unless you are very fit. Thank yòu Kostas for your superb hosting!

Cave apartment in Oia

The apartment was located in the center of most of sights in Oia. It is very crowded area but if you are interested in taking in the popular sights, you can be one of the first if you get up early. There's a half bathroom in the apartment and full bathroom outside down a short flight of stairs. A bit inconvenient for showers but doable. What would make this apartment great is if an awning is placed on porch to cover the blazing sun. The market umbrella does not provide enough shade especially in morning and afternoon. The view from the porch is breathtaking but too hot to stay for long. Also would have been hospitable if Kostis provided bottles of water for our first night as did other VRBO for us during our vacation in Greece. Tap water is undrinkable so we had to go shopping for water which is not easy in this location...lots of steps up and down and crowds to fight through.
