Fantastic family holiday resort on the Mediterranean!

We rented Casa 17 in Les Oliveres. The location is great being only a hour's drive from Reus airport. The house is as described, clean, modern and nicely furnished with air conditioning, a fully equipped kitchen and a flat screen tv on which we were able to watch some on the World Cup games on Spanish TV. There is great space in the house which is a 3 storey house with a bathroom on each floor and showers in the two on the upper floors. We had a lovely view of the beautiful gardens which are immaculately kept and of the sea. Our house was facing the two pools in the shared garden which was really warm and very quiet most of the time. We went for lots of walks along the coastline and did our shopping in the local village of L'Ampolla. There are lots of little beaches and coves along the coastline, some are stoney and some are sand. The sea is warm and is great for swimming and snorkelling as there are lots of lovely little fish swimming close to the shore.There is everything you would need in this little town and lots of very good, reasonable restaurants. While we were there we visited the beautiful town of Tarragona which is about an hour's drive and alsoTortosa which is about 45 mins drive. We rented the house from Eva and Adrian in Catalan Ways who were extremely helpful and friendly - they gave us great advice on what to see in the area, facilitated us in renting dvds in the village, left us a very nice welcome pack and were always available to help us with any questions we had. They will also arrange activities for you or your children if you want. An added bonus is that the complex is attached to a 4 star hotel in which we were able to avail of all the facilities. These included outdoor pools, an indoor pool, beauty salon, restaurants and organised activities. We were also given a 10% discount on all the treatments in the beauty salon. This is the perfect place to chill out and we will definitely go back again if we can.

We stayed on the Les Oliveres complex in July 2009. The location was great and exactly what we needed - to just relax - the complex is close to a small beach, and close to Ampolla town where there are supermarkets, fishmongers, butchers, bakers, shops and restaurants, we did however hire a car and needed to use this to go into town. The villa itself was very clean and well equipped for self catering. The complex was also very well maintained and the pool was excellent. We would definately recommend Les Oliverers for a family holiday. Eva and Adrian were really helpful and friendly - many thanks.

The apartment was to a high standard and well equipped. The facilities at the hotel were also very good. The beaches were OK but not fantastic. Unless you are going to eat out all the time you will need a car to get down to L'ampolla. The hotel does have a supermarket but it is very limited in supplies and to call it a supermarket is a bit of a stretch of the imagination. The people that ran the apartments were friendly and helpful. Overall, I thought it was a nice, friendly place and would recommend it.
