Our centrally located holiday apartment “Altstadt 2�� (first mentioned in the year 1416) is situated directly in the pedestrian zone in the city centre of Salzburg - right besides the state bridge, only a few minutes’ walk away from the birthplace of Mozart in the “Getreidegasse”, close to the Salzburg Cathedral, the famous Festival Hall of Salzburg, the Mirabell Garden and Palace, the house of Mozart and the university „Mozarteum“ of Salzburg.

The apartment is situated on the first floor (without lift) and is perfectly suited for 2 persons, however, there is another sleeping couch for 2 extra persons available.

Location, location, location

Just a quick review .... rented the apartment for 2 nights for our party of 3 (2 adults / 1 teenager), owners very easy to deal with, the apartment was clean and exactly as pictured in the ad, location cannot be beat - central to everything and a unique old town street, espresso machine was heaven, grocery stores 5 minute walk away on the Linzer Gasse, 15 minute walk from train station, door to door public bus to airport (20 minute bus ride), would recommend unreservedly.

Perfect!

This apartment was wonderful. It was in a perfect location in the central city near to all the sites. It is located on a quiet but scenic back street in old Salzburg. The apartment itself was perfect for our family. Very clean and comfortable. We especially enjoyed the cappuccino machine in the kitchen. Walter was super easy to work with and of the 4 apartments we rented in Europe, this was by far the most straight forward. We had a great time here and would definitely rent here again when in Salzburg.

Wonderful apartment in beautiful Salzburg

What a wonderful apartment in the heart of the Old City. The location could not be beat, as it was convenient to many popular shops and attractions. The apartment itself is located on a quaint cobblestone street just off of the Linzergasse, and it was larger and better-equipped than I had anticipated. Since I was on an extended trip it was especially convenient to have a washing machine in the unit. Everything about the apartment was extremely comfortable, and I found the owners to be very cordial and easy to work with(check-in and check-out were a snap!).

An excellent and charming apartment, a fine host

We have rented apartments and other accommodations in Salzburg for 11 years, but have never found anything even nearly as appropriate to the spirit of the city, or more convenient to its attractions, or more sensibly and carefully appointed. It is exactly what a visitor with an eye towards an authentic, accommodating, and yet unpretentious stay could seek.

Highly recommended unless you are into glitz. And the glamour is in the charm of living comfortably in an ancient and friendly little unobtrusive street, yet steps away from away from the core of Salzburg.
