Our four days in Brussels were completely perfect. One of the reasons was Eagle Nest Apartment. The photos show exactly how it is. A really comfortable place for four persons, well maintained, full-equipped and very, very clean. Excellent location, with all facilities (supermarket, restaurants, bakery...) and well-connected (tram, buses, taxi) 5 minutes walking from the apartment.
The owner was so polite and a great host. He gave us maps and instructions about the apartment, tram lines, the neighborhood...)
Thanks Didier for this incredible stay at your property.
We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and were met by Dider, the owner. He took time to show us the apartment and all of the amenities. He took time to tell us about the various business and restaurants in the neighborhood. He gave us maps, directions and instructions on the Brussels mass transit system. The apartment was very clean and excellently appointed. The best night view of the Brussels skyline.
This is a beautiful apartment and Didier, the owner, could not do enough for us. The apartment is beautiful with a spectacular view of the city. Public transportation is less than a block away, fine restaurants within easy walking distance, fully stocked grocery store right around the corner, great tavern with wonderful food across the street. All in all this is a delightful apartment with all your needs there or close by. I would choose this apartment anytime I am in Brussels
This apartment is the perfect place to relax, unwind, enjoy the view and plan the next day or next journey. Clean, spacious and very comfortable. Easy access to city center or other attractions by tram, it is a little off the beaten path in a neighborhood with all the stores and restaurants you need should you choose an evening at home. We returned to Brussels a month later and looked forward to coming home to this apartment. Didier was a charming and very accommodating host.
Of everywhere we went in five countries over three weeks, this is the one I return to in memory the most; the city spread out before me when I open my eyes in the morning, with the peaceful patio, koi pond and lily pads, to my right. Didier was a gracious host -- not landlord but host, welcoming us as valued guests. He apologized profusely for being delayed half an hour and provided a generous discount, which delighted us after a very negative experience in our previous apartment. He showed us everything we'd need, provided every amenity from shower gel to kitchen towels, explained how the microwave and television worked. The washer and dryer were great, refrigerator huge, market around the corner had wonderful breakfast and dinner items. And the furnishings! Luxurious bedding, thirsty towels, actual fine art instead of decorator art. His taste is unerring, and the patio was our favorite place to spend on our laptops -- wifi was great. Seeing Brussels under fog at night, seeing the Basilica on the skyline...the kitchen door out with it's fetching chain curtain made even waiting for the kettle to heat a sight for the eyes...endlessly entertaining to look down at the activity on the street and the great view. Wonderful area, and even so, very secure building...we left the patio door unlocked without fear. As if all that weren't enough, I left an adapter for which he refused money, mailing it back to my friend on his own time and trouble. I'd keep this place a secret but anyone who goes to Brussels will have the trip of a lifetime staying here. Eagles Nest is my most beloved memory of a perfect trip.
My wife and I stayed there for 5 days in the middle of June. Didier met us at the door and sat down with us for over an hour to explaining the location, amenities, the trams to take etc. He also arranged for a rental vehicle, which was 4 minutes away, for us to visit my grandfathers WW1 grave in France. His expertise in the traveling within Brussels was exactly as described. my wife and I did a lot of walking in the area as well as in the town center. The accommodations were excellent with all the amenities. i am sorry it took this long to write a review which is my fault, but if you are looking for a place that is close to a market, a tram or for a walk, this is the place. Didier went above and beyond what we asked for.
