Fischen near Oberstdorf is a well-known and popular health, recreation and holiday resort in the midst of the Allgäu Alps, renowned for their spectacular scenary and sunny weather. The place offers beautiful trails, a lovely village centre with restaurants, cafés, ice cream parlours and plenty of charm. You will also find bakeries, small supermarkets, etc. in the centre.
Landhaus Alpenruhe is nestled beautifully between green lawns, the crystal clear brook and the breathtaking view of the Alps. Right at the doorstep you find a true recreational oasis: the picturesque village centre as well as leisure facilities such as the outdoor pool, gym, sauna and tennis courts are well within walking distance. As a big highlight, the hiking and Nordic walking trails start right outside the house! In winter the local family skiing area and toboggan run as well as scenic crosscountry trails are just a few steps away. Various golf courses can be reached in a few minutes drive!

Ski: While the family friendly ski lifts of Fischen (about 5 minutes walking distance from the house) are ideal for beginners, there are several more advanced skiing areas in the neighbouring villages. There really is no lack of choice - the FIS slopes of Ofterschwang as well as the popular and varied skiing areas of Oberstdorf (Nebelhorn, Söllereck, Fellhorn) and Kleinwalsertal wit a total of 124 km of slopes can be reached in about 10-15 minutes by car.
This fascinating mountain panorama of the Allgäu Alps also particularly attracts cross-country skiers. If you are looking to do some cross-country skiing, there could hardly be a better place to start. Fischen is in the middle of the cross-country trails of the region. From here, you can reach surrounding villages and towns in all directions. Whether Sonthofen, Schöllang/Oberstdorf, Bolsterlang, Obermaiselstein or Langenwang - if you want (and have the stamina!), you can reach them all by cross-country skiing.
