3 Bedroom duplex apartment sleeps 6 in bedrooms and 2 on a sofa bed in the living room. Modern (built 2006), well equipped and on a very highly rated development with a great swimming pool and tennis.

For our English guests, we have UK TV.

Just 10 min walk from La Cala de Mijas - one of the few towns on the Costa del Sol that has a level underpass for the N340 (no need to risk life and limb dashing over this busy road or to climb endless steps over bridges) - which has all the facilities you might need on your visit including supermarkets, restaurants, banks, bars, cafes and a beautiful sandy beach with safe swimming.

Convenient for many golf courses, the closest of which is La Noria (9 hole, 18 hole and driving range).

40km west of the airport at Malaga, on a well kept, gated development, this duplex apartment has secure parking, fresh decor, fully fitted kitchen, hot/cold air conditioning, great views from the large terrace and a peaceful location - no drunk crowds keep you awake at night here.

Offered on a self catering basis, ideal for families

We use a great local agent, LCS Management (English and Spanish speaking), who will help with pretty much anything that you need any help with. The apartment will be clean and tidy on your arrival and you can just up and go on departure day.

The town of La Cala de Mijas is a wonderful place. As well as a great beach (with a long promenade), there are 3 supermarkets (Super Sol, Mercadona & Lidl), plenty of restaurants, parks and playgrounds, cafes, bars and a famous cabaret venue. There is a large market a couple of days a week too. La Cala is also one of the few towns along the coast that seems to have money to spend on the infrastructure. New parks, new things on the beach, the lovely new promenade walk and more. It is a thriving town and a nice place to be.

The beach side walkway stretches from La Cala right to Cabopino. It is very accessible for walking, pushchairs, wheelchairs, scooters, bicycles etc. Level and well constructed in concrete and wood, it is an easy path with beautiful scenery, loads of cafes and bars and runs right along the beach.

New for 2015, this is a major attraction on the Costa del Sol. Already people are coming from miles around to La Cala to enjoy the lovely walk along the coast. A must see.

Why Jonathan Powell chose Mijas Costa

We spent a lot of time looking at a lot of developments before settling on this one. We chose La Cala as it is very nice, clean and friendly town with great amenities. The Navigolf development is out of the town centre, quiet, secure, family friendly and fully occupied. The gardens and pool are in great condition and there is a nice balance of locals and tourists living on the development.

The apartment is well equipped and an easy place to stay. Full kitchen, en suite bathroom, UK TV and a very large terrace to sit out in the sun.

Easy to find and just 40km from the airport.

What makes this apartment unique

One of the few places on the coast where you can cross the N340 coast road easily - by underpass rather than by bridge. The underpass is a nice route into town, safe at all times and with well kept flower beds etc.

La Cala is a wonderful place for a holiday - so much so that many people return year after year.

We found some reasonably cheap flights into Malaga, booked this apartment and off we went! The apartment is lovely - very nicely equipped. English TV was nice to have for us to keep up with the soaps (sad I know!). The town is nice and there are some great restaurants. We had a great time. The agent, Val, is very helpful too, even though it was the holiday period, she organised us a hire car very quickly and very cheaply.

Fabulous place to stay .

This is the 4th time i have stayed at this property so that should give you an idea of how enjoyable it is.

It has a fully equiped kitchen , 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms , living room with tv dvd .

The property is clean and well maintained and would definitely recommend anyone to stay here, it is ideal for families or couples .

It has a large patio area with BBQ and stunning views .

There is the use of a large communal swimming pool that sits in immaculate gardens that is a few minutes walk away , there is also a golf course within walking distance .

The town of La cala is about 10mins walk from the property and there are some excellent restaurants i recommend the WOK buffet which can be seen from the patio terrace .The town is quiet but there are plenty of bars to choose from .

Fuengirola and Marbella are very close by and there is a regular bus service that runs to both . If you have the use of a car Gibraltar is around an hours drive from La Cala and there is also the option of travelling over to Morocco for the day but i recommend that you use a guide.

First family holiday in the costa's

Would like to say our family had a great holdiay here in La Cala, we arrived latish on at night and were shown where to go by the management company.

on arrival our first impression was nice place with plenty of room, it wasnt until the morning that we got a good look around the place and was very impressed overall, it has 3 spacious bedrooms all a/c equipped(needed) and a main bathroom, downstairs you are greeted by a spacious lounge dining area with pation doors onto a balcony with views of the pool and golf course and of course the mountains....

well equipped kitchen with all the mod cons obviously...

the only thing i would say is ensure you get a rental car if you intend on frequenting other area's :) ...but is not essential.

Beach is 10 - 15 minute walk at most and is not overly busy so is a good thing, plenty of eatery's if you intend to eat out but the apartment also has a barbeque if you fancy eating in..

other resorts are not that far away either , you have a frequent bus between the resorts or if you have car i would say ten mins either way and you come to another resort... and if your really adventure out Gibraltor is on 100km and is worth the visit

Excellent accommodation in fantastic location

We found the apartment extremely clean and certainly over exceeded the description given. The owner, Jonathan, was very helpful both before our trip and during. The only comments that I would make was that the sunbeds at the pool were not of good condition and there weren't many. Luckily when we were there it wasn't too busy, however, there are deckchairs and an umbrella in the apartment that could be used at the pool and the beach.

La Cala is a beautiful town, with plenty of choice of restaurants, 2 supermarkets and good bars, especially Biddy Mulligan's Irish bar. There is a good market on Wednesday and Saturday mornings. Tip when walking to the town - use the steps just along from the apartment rather than down the road, its ok walking down, but not good at night after a few drinks and large meal!!!

He pasado junto con mi familia unos días en este estupendo apartamento, situado en un residencial muy tranquilo y bien cuidado a poca distancia a pie de la playa y el pueblo.

El apartamento se encuentra muy bien equipado, con una gran terraza con vistas al campo de golf y desde donde se ve el mar.

Solamente me queda darle las gracias por estos días que he pasado en su apartamento.

Notes:
The terrace is 37 m² and faces south easterly. The view is to the sea to the south and to the hills to the north and overlooks a golf course. On the development there is a great swimming pool, a kids paddling pool, 2 paddle tennis courts. Overall the mix on the development is a good balance of locals and others living here full time and holiday makers - the traffic is low and its a safe environment. The whole development is gated with restricted access so it is as safe as they come. The local town is a few minutes walk and has all the facilities you might need: supermarkets, beach, bars, restaurants, taxi rank etc. etc. Our agent lives locally and she is very helpful with all matters and has stacks of useful knowledge about the whole area.
