Large 4 double bedroom Villa (sleeps 8) + 3 bath/shower rooms.

Beach Holme is our very loved, family holiday home. It is in a stunning location on the beach front in the beautiful village of Bonchurch. Being on a private cul de sac which finishes a few yards away on the beach it is quiet and safe. From the front of the property there are uninterrupted, constantly changing, sea views and there is nothing like sleeping to sound of the waves. Our property is situated on Monks Bay, one of the Islands best kept secrets, with it's mixture of sand, pebbles, delightful rock pools and safe swimming. Bonchurch is known for it's temperate climate and during a hot week you may not want to stray from this perfect spot. As well as a perfect spot for that summer holiday, it is an excellent base for out of season breaks. The island is well known for its mild spring, autumn and winters which are wonderful for excellent walking, discovering cosy pubs and catching up on quality time.

Located next to Beach Holme we also own The Boathouse (property no 12613) which sleeps 2 adults.

Years of traveling far and wide with my job and many adventurous holidays with my husband means I have stayed in all sorts of accommodation around the world from basic tents in Kenya to incredible luxury resorts in the Far East, from city hotels in New York to Country Manors in Wales . Now living on a farm in the UK with our 2 children, 2 dogs, 2 cats and 4 chickens it's always pleasure to escape to the sea.

We were lucky enough to buy Beach Holme when we were living in London and looking for a seaside place to enjoy as a family. Our only criteria was that we wanted to find somewhere right on the sea - along with it being beautiful and quiet, away from any built up areas! It so happens my own great, great grandparents were islanders and we have a good family history of coastguards there.

There's no question that being so close to the sea is Beach Holme's biggest lure. The predictability of the tides along with the ever changing moods of the water makes for a very special place to stay. In Winter it can be snug with the wood burning fire, a safe place to watch waves crashing into the sea wall and salt spray flying high into the air, while in Summer a bay of cool, blue gently laps at the sand. And while I may mention it many times over, there really is nothing like sleeping to the sound of the waves.

I LOVE this place! This is the second time I've stayed and will make sure I return ASAP! Beautiful relaxed beach house, no more than 30 foot from the sea....simply Stunning! A place to really kick back and relax. Super family friendly. Louise has created a chic and relaxed environment. I can't recommend it more!

Beach Holme is a magical place to stay, Louise has created a very special holiday house, spacious and modern but retaining all the charm of a Victorian property. To be this close to a very private beach is amazing and the front bedroom views feel like you are waking up on the ocean. We were lucky to stay here and hope to return again one day. Breathtaking

This property is an absolute must to hire/rent. It truly is amazing. The views of the beach/sea is spectacular. I went with my family and we certainly had plenty of space to roam, relax, eat, sleep and play. There was a playroom for Ava. I've never come across a property as stunning as this in the UK. It's really clean, well maintained, it has everything you need. It felt so comfortable to be in, it feels like your own home but on a grander scale and you have the bonus of the sea/beach on your doorstep. The owners Lou and Jason emailed me with a great list of things to do in the area, places to eat etc. And they were right on par. I most CERTAINLY would recommend this place to my friends/family and to those that are thinking of renting this place. It's beautiful, Wow!! We wish we were there right now. I'm definitely coming back to this stunning house.

Beach Holme is Sublime

Beach Holme is simply sublime. This was our 4th stay and it gets better every time. There is something quite magical about this very special place. Whatever the weather – and we’ve experienced the lot from sun to snow it does not disappoint. Being 20ft from the beach and the sounds of the ocean the location in unparalleled whilst the accommodation is spacious, comfortable and super flexible.

Moreover, Beach Holme is a Home not a House, loved and cherished by it’s delightful owners Louise & Jason and it shows. It is without question the best holiday home we’ve hired and whilst Jason and Louise continue to share it we’ll be back whenever we can. If you have the chance, book it and experience an oasis of calm and many magical moments.

What more could you want?

We've just booked our Summer stay at Beach Holme for next year - it will be our third year in a row! I think that probably says it all - you couldn't want for a better Summer holiday.

We have 3 young children (6,5 an 2) who love going to stay at Beach Holme, infact they constantly ask how many sleeps it is until our next visit!

The accommodation is perfect, beautifully presented and equipped with everything that you need, with the added bonus of a fully equipped play room so we never take any extra toys with us! The location is superb - you walk out of your front gate, down some steps and straight on to a beach which is great for crabbing, sand castle building and playing in the sea! Bonchurch itself is a beautiful, very old little village, great walks, amazing 11th Century church and a great restaurant the Pond Cafe (sister to the Michelin starred Hambrough in Ventnor).

We spend most of our time on the beach but it's only a short walk along the sea front (pretty spectacular) into Ventnor which has amenities such as a Co-op, Spa, Boots and cash points - and of course the fantastic Spy Glass Inn, the Michelin Star Hambrough Restaurant and a great Isle of Wight shape paddling pool for the kids. (Oh and some of the best take away fish and chips on the Island!) The Island is great, especially for kids, so much to do and see ranging from the Dinosaur Museum, to Cowes Week to horse riding.

The owner, Louise, is fantastic and very helpful. I couldn't recommend this property more highly.

Wonderfully located, fabulous family holiday house

Beach Holme is simply sublime. Location wise it simply can't be beaten, a lovely beach with wonderful waterfall (the kids spent hours damning) is literally 30 seconds from the front door. Indeed, its located so close to the water front we had to avoid the spray from the waves when unpacking the car! The decor is contemporary, comfortable and luxurious without being too delicate/prissy. All the rooms are a great size, the front two double bedrooms have amazing sea views as do the the lounge and kitchen/dinning room. The play room was a massive hit with our kids and packed so full of things we put their toys back in the car.

Within 20-30 mins of Ventnor are a array of activities to suit all tastes. We did national trust houses, steam railways, stunning walks and even bird of prey flying in the week we were there.

Their is nothing this house lacks and the owner Louise and her housekeeper were a delight to deal with throughout. Never one's to plan our holidays in advance, our week at Beach Holme (April 2010) was so good we immediately emailed Louise and booked it again for 2011!

Bonchurch is a beautiful village on the South East coast of the Isle of Wight. it is surrounded by the St Boniface Downs which tower up high above it's coastal location, protecting it from adverse weather, giving it it's wonderful temperate climate. Located on the coastal path, there is mile upon mile of picturesque coastal and inland walks literally on the doorstep. Bonchurch lies between two bigger sea side resorts, Shanklin and Ventnor, both a wonderful 20 minute walk away (Ventnor can be reached by bicycle along the sea wall in 10 minutes). Both resorts have sandy, award winning beaches and delicious eateries. Bonchurch beachfront itself consists of a pottery and 5 houses. There is a fabulous contemporary brasserie in the village and a fabulous village pub. The world renowned sailing resort of Cowes is a 35 minute drive away and the rest of the island and all it's attractions can be easily reached by car or bus.
