Beautiful, private, fully furnished and equipped, holiday villa for self-catering holiday just 4min walk from the beach and 7 min walk from large shopping centre. Own WiFi, fabulous sea views, 3 bedrooms (including huge master bedroom & en suite open plan bathroom), 2 more bathrooms, large dining & lounge areas, large kitchen/breakfast room, several terraces, private pool, Sky TV, DVD player, Hi Fi, Barbecue. Available for Holiday Rental. Sleeps up to 6 persons (+ travel cot). A 7th person is possible, please ask. Villa Blanca has a beautiful, open-plan, split-level design & is very spacious, light & airy with high, sloped, beamed ceilings, modern tiled floors, huge double-glazed windows & French doors, underfloor heating and air-con. There are 5 terraces/patios and lower garden, porch/terrace & pool area boast wood-effect tiling & stone & marble finishes. Fully equipped with bed linen, towels, crockery, cutlery, glasses, cooking utensils. Laundry room with washing machine, tumble dryer, clothes horse, iron & board.

The owner, David Greene, whose profile appears in this ad further down, lives in Fuengirola too so he is just a few minutes away from the Villa. He also makes a point of welcoming his guests personally on arrival, showing them around and handing over keys etc.

Fuengriola, Costa del Sol: The Costa del Sol is certainly the best coast in Spain in terms of infrastructure, general standards, facilities and weather. The most sought after section runs between Malaga city and Estepona. The town of Fuengirola is 20kms from Malaga airport in the direction of Estepona and is exactly halfway between Malaga and Marbella. It is therefore perfectly located and Fuengirola is probably the best coastal town in terms of size, accessibility, beaches, facilities and amenities, choice, standards and costs. Villa Blanca sits right at the western edge of the town and benefits from a quiet cul de sac location just 250 metres in a straight line from the best beach and has fabulous panoramic sea views. It is also within walking distance of a large shopping mall and supermarket as well as dozens of restaurants and bars without being within earshot of any of them....ideal.

Fuengirola also has its own aquapark, cinema complex, zoo, water sports, equestrian sports, medical centres as well as several golf courses within a few kilometres.

About David Greene

I am a British Chartered Accountant and I came to live and work in Spain in 1998 after a long-ish career in corporate finance. On arriving in Spain, as a complete change of lifestyle, I opened a very successful French restaurant which I later sold very well. I then owned and ran a small, successful real estate office but closed it when the property market went quiet here in 2006. I earlier lived for 16 years in Belgium and speak French and an improving Spanish too. I am a friendly and approachable guy and I want to make sure that my guests have a great time and really enjoy the Villa. Thankfully, I seem to succeed in that. I expect high standards when I go on holiday and I always assume that my guests expect the same from me.

I live in Fuengirola too so I am just a few minutes away from the Villa should the guests need me for any reason. I also make a point of welcoming my guests personally on arrival, showing them around and handing over keys etc.

Why David Greene chose Fuengirola

I bought Villa Blanca because of its fabulously original open-plan split-level interior layout, very high ceilings, loads of light, fabulous terraces and garden as well as the amazing panoramic sea views. Another important factor was the location on the edge of town but so close to the beach and so many facilities including restaurants, bars, the Myramar shopping mall etc...perfect. I completely renovated it in 2004 and, in 2006, I extended it significantly and installed a super private pool of 32 m2. Most of my guests say the photos do not do the Villa justice especially the panoramic sea views. It is not necessary to hire a car as all you need is accessible within walking distance. However, the Villa is also ideally located as a central point to visit so many places of interest, sports and other facilities, shops, and other towns.

What makes this villa unique

I think that the unique benefits of Villa Blanca can be summarised as follows. If anyone contemplating a self-catering Villa holiday makes up a list of all of the criteria they are seeking (eg spacious, luxurious, private exclusive use of the facilities, fully-equipped, walking distance to beach, shops, bars restaurants, etc, super sea views, private pool, loads of local amenities, excellent transport links, close to airport, fair-pricing etc etc) then Villa Blanca is one of very very few that can tick all of the boxes. A Wonderful Holiday Villa!

This was my second stay at Villa Blanca! Having previously been there with my family, I went instead with three friends to celebrate my birthday. What a fantastic place to be, and a wonderful time of year to escape the English grey drizzle! The villa was perfect, with fantastic views. It was clean, welcoming and full of light. A real Godsend. We loved being within walking distance of the beach and the shops. I am currently pestering my husband into booking this fab villa again next year! You only live once....treat yourself...you wont be disappointed!

Owner's Response: It is very rewarding to know that the considerable efforts put in by myself and my small team (cleaners, gardener and handyman) are recognised and such appreciation for us expressed. Many thanks to these guests for taking the trouble to write a review. I am blessed with having bought a super-located but older Villa in 2002 which I immediately completely renovated and updated. In 2006, I extended it significantly and levelled the garden with retaining walls and put in a super pool. The location, high standards and style of the property seem to attract high levels of demand and the feedback is always so positive. After 6 seasons of renting out Villa Blanca, and despite the economic climate, demand has never been higher. Do I have the best holiday Villa in and around Fuengirola...yes I believe I do...but perhaps I am a little biased hehe.

a gem of a villa in a gem of a place!

I stayed at villa blanca with my family earlier this month and can honestly say I had the best break ever! having never stayed at a private villa before I had ceratin reservations about what it would turn out like, but I needn't have worried! The villa itself is totally stunning, it is very spacious and the pictures I had seen beforehand really do not do it justice! Outside, there are numerous terraces to chose where to drink your gin and tonic, well-kept gardens, a fantastic pool and stunning views.
we did not have a car, but that was not important as it is just a stroll to the beach and local shops, bars etc. I am booking in again for next year, and probably will get in quick to secure the year after too. The owner david is a super friendly english guy who went out of his way to make sure that we were happy and knew to call him if we had any problems (which we didn't). An amazing villa in a fab place...I miss it already!!

I, along with my small cleaning and maintenance team, do our best to ensure that everything is tip top for all my guests. I am fortunate to have a super villa in a fantastic location but also try to ensure that my rental rates are competitive so my occupancy levels are excellent especially between May and October. This period is often sold out by the end of the previous year so booking early is best....oops am sounding like a salesman now. It is also a great place for a winter break and I think my rates for that period are unbeatable for the standard of accommodation. Thank you once again for your comments.

Fabulous !

We stayed at the Villa Blanca this August 2010 and have to say we had a fabulous time . We took our grandaughters aged 15,14 and 9 . The pool was superb as was the whole set up . We were met by the owner who showed us around and told us where the local shops were and how to get out and about . The villa is of a very high standard and well worth that little bit extra as it is in such a good position and the views were exactly as the photos on the website , even better actually being there ! I would highly recommend this villa for a family holiday or 3 couples .The beach is a 5 min walk away and can be seen from the main terrace .

A Fabulous Place to Stay

This fabulous villa is home from home in the sun. Myself my husband and my teenage daughter stayed there for a week in August and were joined on our second week by my sister-in-law and two nieces (in their 20's). The villa was perfect for everyone, plenty of space so we were definitely not on top of each other.

The villa is convenient for everything, shopping, bars, beach, restaurants and even a cinema and you will find the owner a really helpful and friendly guy.

A fantastic place to stay and I would recommend it to everyone. Will definitely be back.

We had a fantastic week at the Villa end of August 2008. The villa is ideally situated for shops, beach and restaurants. Bikini beach is a short 5minute walk from the villa and has its own beach restaurant and bar.
The modern Miramar shopping centre is close by which offers everything one might need or have forgotten for the holiday.
The villa is really spacious and cleverly laid out with numerous patios overlooking the sea. The pool is perfect and very private and we enjoyed the villa so much that we often spent the day around the pool relaxing.
I would recommend the villa to everyone.

The Villa is a lovely place, spacious, light, bright, modern but with loads of character, lovely pool and gardens....and we didn't need a car which was such a pleasant change. We were well looked after by the owner and we all really enjoyed it. We may well come back.

Fuengirola is 20 km West of Malaga airport & is busy, thriving and fast-growing with appeal for all age groups. It has great beaches all the way from Los Boliches to beyond the 1200 year old Moorish Castle. With hundreds of restaurants & bars of all types, standards & cuisines and dozens of night clubs or discos, live shows, evenings are never dull.. The Mijas racecourse (horse-racing) is only 3 km away from Villa Blanca & has lots of bars and restaurants. The Casino is just 10 min by car. Costa del Sol has about 40 golf courses so you are always close to one. In Fuengirola, there is also Lew Hoad tennis club, several riding stables, the Aquapark, the Zoo and, in Benalmadena, there is the Amusement Park Tivoli World. Marbella, Malaga city, Benalmadena, Mijas, Torremolinos, Cabopino, Puerto Banus are all within a radius of 25km of Fuengirola. Ronda, Gibraltar, the Lakes at El Chorro, Granada (Alhamabra Palace) are also very accessible by car or by excursion trip.

Other Activities: Tivoli World, Aqua Park, Horse-racing, Excursions.

Golf: There are more 40 golf courses on the Costa del Sol, some of which are of a very high standard including Mijas (3 kms from Villa), Cabopino (12kms), Torrequebrada (10kms) and, of course, Valderrama where the Ryder cup was held a few years ago.

Ski: The Sierra Nevada ski resort is an excellent venue and is some 2 hours drive from the Villa.

  • The master bedroom is very large at some 28 m2 and the ensuite bathroom is finished in a rich green marble. The whole room is open plan, except of course for the WC which is enclosed. The effect is quite stunning and there is direct access to the porch area and the pool. A fabulous area for romantic interludes with views to the sea, the gardens and the pool. The master bedroom is accessed separately from the other bedrooms. The other two bedrooms are both of a very good size and also have sea views and overlook the pool. Between these two bedrooms is a good sized family bathroom with a large sunken bath/shower built into the floor and marble topped double sinks. There is also a further separate shower room with marble-topped vanity unit and WC.

Notes:
There are some 18 steps leading from the garden entrance to the villa which, internally, is split level. Therefore, we do not believe the villa to be ideal for persons who are wheelchair bound or who have very restricted mobility. In all other respects, the Villa is ideal for a family holiday for all ages and is a complete home from home with lots of space all finished to very high standards and very close to all facilities.
