The Apartment And Your Arrival: The apartment is as other guests have commented 'A home from home without the rain'! It is a well furnished and equipped 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom en-suite 1st floor apartment. The location is Ideally located for beach, family and golfing holidays. You will be met at the apartment on arrival by our UK management company, who will show you the property and explain how everything works and where to park your car in the secure underground car park. They will also tell you how to ensure that you enjoy yourself and give you information on the local area. They will be on hand during your stay to offer help and advice, they live on the complex. They can supply welcome packs for your arrival and help organise car hire, golf or airport transfer if required. We can let you know the cheapest flight and car rental websites that we use, you won't belive how much cheaper they are! We look forward to hearing from you.

The Complex: The complex has extensive well maintained and matured gardens, 2 large and 2 small pools, 2 tennis courts and 2 children's play areas. On site facilities include - supermarket, gift shop, newsagent, hairdresser, launderette, bar & bakery. At the side of the complex is an excellent Venta (Spanish restaurant, the best Onion soup). La Hacienda de Mijas Golf is only a few minutes drive away from the extensive Myramar shopping complex, with an excellent Eroski supermarket, huge variety of stores and boutiques. Just a few minutes drive away is the Mijas Aquapark, Zoo (Sure hit for the kids) and the popular resort of La Cala de Mijas. The 'hollywood of Spain' Marbella and Puerto Banus are a mere 15 and 20 minute drive. Gibraltar is around a 1 hr 30 min drive and is a recommended visit. Due to it's location in the heart of 'Golf Valley', and it's proximity to the resorts of Fuengirola and La Cala de Mijas make La Hacienda an ideal destination for both golf and beach holidays.

The Wider Area: If you fancy going further afield, the regions of Granada, Cordoba, Sevilla and Rhonda - are well within aceptable travelling time from Mijas Golf. Closer to Mijas Golf are the beautiful mountain villages of Mijas and Benalmadena Pueblo, the lovely marinas of Benalmadena and of course the much loved Puerto Cabopino. Don't let us forget the beauty of the capital of the province - Malaga, famous for its old quarter - with attractive streets lined with enticing bars, serving Rioja and a fabulous selection of fresh tapas.

Hi we are the Drew, Cathy, Jack and Mackenzie, we now live in Canada because we love snow and mosquitos!!. We purchased our property off plan in 2003 and have been renting since 2007, we have enjoyed the experience. Super Apartment!

Wir sind ein deutsches Paar (Mitte 40) und haben unseren Golf-Urlaub von Mitte Dezember bis Mitte Januar hier verbracht. Das Apartment befindet sich in einer sehr gepflegten und gut bewohnten Anlage. Im Gegensatz zu vielen anderen Anlagen stehen hier nicht so viele Wohnungen leer, das ist sehr angenehm und wirkt sich auch positiv auf den Zustand  der Anlage aus. Das Apartment selber entspricht genau den Bildern und ist ebenfalls top gepflegt. Das Bett im Hauptschlafzimmer ist maximal 1,60 breit und verfügt nur über eine Bettdecke, das ist in Spanien allerdings üblich. Wer "bequemer" schlafen möchte,  kann das zweite Schlafzimmer nutzen. Es hat zwei gemütliche Einzelbetten. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet und verfügt unter anderem über Heißluftofen, Herd und Mikrowelle. Kaffeemaschine, Wasserkocher und Toaster sind ebenfalls vorhanden. Den Abwasch muss man leider per Hand erledigen, eine Geschirrspülmaschine ist nicht vorhanden. Bei einem längeren Aufenthalt kann man die  vorhandene Waschmaschine nutzen  und die Wäsche auf dem ebenfalls vorhandenen Wäschegestell trocknen. Auf dem Fernseher laufen ca. 7 deutsche Kanäle (ARD/ZDF und div. Privatsender), Wi-Fi ist vorhanden und funktioniert ohne Probleme. Auf dem überdachten Balkon scheint ungefähr von Mittag bis kurz vor Sonnenuntergang die Sonne (Dezember/Januar). Der Wohnung ist in der Tiefgarage ein fester Platz zugeordnet, von hier kommt man mit dem Fahrstuhl bequem zur Wohnung. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Supermärkte befinden sich ca. 5 Fahrminuten von der Wohnung entfernt, ein kleiner Supermarkt für "Notfälle" befindet sich direkt  in der Anlage  (7 Tage in der Woche geöffnet!). Die Lage der Wohnung verlangt einen Mietwagen, man ist damit in ca. 10 Minuten am Strand oder auch auf einem der vielen Golfplätze. 

Vor Ort wird das Apartment von Heather und ihrem Mann betreut. Bei der Ankunft wird man nett empfangen und umfassend informiert. Falls Probleme oder Fragen auftauchen, gibt es keinerlei Kommunikationsprobleme. Heather ist stets sehr gut erreichbar und reagiert umgehend.

Alles in allem, ein sehr schönes, gut ausgestattetes Apartment in gepflegter Anlage mit einem guten Preis Leistungs Verhältnis. Mietwagen ist allerdings Voraussetzungen.

Owner's Response: Here is the translation of our first German Review, thanks Gabriele: We are a German couple (mid 40's) and have our golf vacation from mid-December to mid-January spent here. The apartment is located in a well maintained and well inhabited system. Unlike many other communities which have so many homes that are empty. We found the complex very comfortable and relaxing. The apartment itself is exactly as shown in the pictures loaded on the website, immaculate and well maintained . The bed in the master bedroom is a maximum of 1.60m, which is common in Spain and was very comfortable. There are also two comfortable single beds in the second bedroom. The kitchen is well equipped and has, among other hot air oven, hob and microwave. Coffee maker, kettle, toaster etc are provided, no dishwasher. For a longer stay, you can use the existing washer and dry the laundry in the wash rack also available. On TV run about 7 German channels (ARD / ZDF and div. Private channels), Wi-Fi is available and works without problems. On the covered balcony seems about from noon until just before sunset the sun (December / January). The apartment is assigned a fixed place in the basement, from here you can take the lift to the apartment comfortably. Shops and supermarkets are within 5 minutes drive from the apartment, a small supermarket for is located directly outside the complex and is open 7 days a week open! We recommend a rental car, you are so in about 10 minutes at the beach or on one of the many golf courses, however you can use a Taxi or bus. The apartment is managed by Heather and her husband who live onsite. Upon arrival you will be warmly welcomed and fully informed. If you have problems or questions arise, there is no communication problems. Heather is always very accessible and responds immediately. All in all, a very nice, well equipped apartment in well maintained complex with a good performance-price ratio, we will be booking again for next year.

Fantastic Apartment - Centrally Located

My family and I enjoyed a fantastic holiday in this lovely apartment. The apartment is immaculate and has everything a family could possibly need, literally home from home. There is plenty of linen and it was great not having to take towels in our cases. The air con kept the apartment cool at night and the tv/wifi kept our children entertained in the evenings!! The balcony is perfect for enjoying a drink whilst watching the sun go down over the mountain view.

The gated complex is very secure and the underground car park is fantastic especially in the summer months. The pools and other communal areas are immaculate and the residents are very friendly. There is a very good shop just outside the gate for essentials and the supermarket is just 5 minutes away by car.

The location is perfect for accessing the Costa Del Sol and its many beautiful beaches. There are restaurants and bars in walking distance and the family run bar in the park is very friendly and offers BBQ and Tapas food. Just a short drive away there are many good bars and restaurants in nearby Fuengerola, Mijas and Calahonda to name a few. We explored this fantastic area which is great for families. We enjoyed the brilliant Mijas waterpark, and the mountain village of Mijas, donkey rides and lunch over looking the coastline is a must. We had a day trip to Gibraltar to visit the Apes and do some duty free shopping. We recommend the Benalmadena Selwo Park to see the animals and you have the opportunity to buy VIP passes to meet the dolphins, which our daughters absolutely loved. The marina at Benalmadena is also worth a visit as there's a vibrant atmosphere especially in the evenings. Watersports and beach bars are found at most beaches too so this area really has everything you need for a perfect holiday.

Thank you to Heather & Anders for meeting us and making us feel very welcome. They shared plenty of information and recommendations and were available throughout our stay if we needed anything. Excellent communication with the owners, Drew & Cathie, ensured our booking was straightforward and they provided us with lots of valuable information before our stay.Thank you again for letting our family stay at your stunning apartment. Very good price / quality ratio

We are Dutch couple, please excuse our English language, we will do our best. We had a great winter months stay in this well equipped modern apartment. The complex and gardens are well-kept and very green. The complex is cleaned daily and is of a high standard of cleanliness. The apartment is very tastefully decorated, just like the photos on the property page, so it was good when we arrived, as it was just as we imagined it. The apartment has everything that you need for your stay and more, everything is modern and in very good condition, good mattresses, bed linin, towels etc. As our stay was in the winter, its was important that the apartment had warm air heating, this kept us cosy when there was a chill at night. The balcony has unobstructed views of the green surroundings and the mountains, excellent sunsets. We had the sun from noon until sunset, perfect. The owners management company are great and made us feel welcome. Communication from the owners was excellent, their very informative emails, were clear and contained lots of information.

Conclusion: An excellent apartment with a very good price / quality ratio, good service, the deposit was paid back within three days, super!!!!

A Lovely Holiday Apartment.

We had an amazing week, we were met at the apartment and shown around by a very lovely Heather, who is the property manager, she informed us of everything we needed to know and more. The apartment was immaculately clean on arrival and jam packed with lots of little extras like a cool box and picnic set, which really came in handy on days out. We had a car so spent a week exploring, all the major attractions are all within a short drive (plentiful taxi's if you need one). We Cant recommend this apartment more highly, superb in every way and exceptional value for money. The other couple that accompanied us got engaged on our last night, so our stay will always hold special memories for us and them. The booking and payment process was a breeze, Andrew sent us an email with links to all the best attractions, cheapest flights and car rental deals, just perfect in every way. Thanks again for the use of your lovely holiday apartment, it was in one word "superb" from start to finish.

Great value

We really enjoyed our time in Mijas Costa. The apartment is well equiped, clean and it's location makes it an ideal base to explore. There is certainly plenty to see and do. The beach at Fuengirola is clean and spacious, with a lovely promenade and plenty of restaurants. Mini golf kept us entertained, as well as the castle, zoo, marine park and a really enjoyable trip to Gibraltar. One tip is to get to Gibraltar really early to avoid traffic jams, or park outside Gibraltar and walk in - it would have taken us hours waiting in a queue to get in, and also to get out. Andrew and Cathie responded quickly to our e-mails and the whole process of booking etc was hassle free, a pleasure. We would throughly recommend this lovely holiday home.

Mijas Apartment - Fun Family Holiday

The apartment is amazing, has everything in it you could possibly want or need for a holiday, it is very much home from home. It has been well maintained and is immaculately clean and tidy. The balcony gets the sun all afternoon and was lovely in the evening to sit out and watch the sun set, whilst enjoying a drink and planning the next days adventures.

The Management team were very polite and extremely helpful during our stay and they live on site so easily contactable if you had any concerns.

Drew was very helpful on the run up to our holiday providing lots of information to help us plan and enjoy our stay and gave us lots of top tips. Thanks Drew!

The complex itself is very clean and tidy and not too busy. We had a few days or afternoons around the pools and quite often had them to ourselves which the children loved. The 2 play area's and tennis courts were also a big hit with the kids everything within the complex was clean, tidy and very well maintained. It is also very secure allowing us to relax a little knowing our children couldn't escape onto the road outside.

There is a supermarket and a bar on site both very friendly and extremely convenient.

We did hire a car although not a necessity as Taxi's can be ordered from the supermarket and arrive almost instantly. The secure underground parking gives peace of mind and keeps the car cool. We found it very easy to drive around the area with the beach, waterpark and zoo all been about a 10min drive and definitely worth a visit with or without children.

Lots of places to eat locally and a great park next to the complex with a bar and bbq facilities.

We all had a fantastic hassle free holiday and can't recommend this highly enough. The only negative is that 10 days wasn't long enough, so much to see and do we will definitely be returning.
