This gorgeous converted warehouse flat in a cobbled street five mins stroll from the new Wapping tube boasts great living space (especially in London terms) plus a large West-facing private balcony and also the use of a stunning huge riverside terrace. Both bedrooms are extremely spacious with large beds and big fitted wardrobes. The master bedroom has a Juliette balcony and an en-suite with bath, loo and basin. Bedroom two has its own bathroom with shower, loo and basin. Both bathrooms come equipped with heated towel rails, top-class towels - and lots of shelf space!
The spacious living room has three sofas, a chair, TV, radio and a large designer solid cherry wood dining table with eight chairs overlooking the balcony which has a solid oak Yask table and benches to seat eight and views of Shadwell Basin. The kitchen is fully-fitted with washer/dryer, dishwasher, waste disposal, oven, hob, fridge, freezer, microwave, coffee maker etc. Everything is provided for your comfort.
The flat is on the fourth floor with reliable lift so is suitable for older guests and those with children. As the building is old the flat does not have modern facilities for disabled guests although we have had a lady in a wheelchair stay very successfully.
I stayed with my family (wife, son, daughter-in-law, and two grandchildren) in 2012. I am about to rebook for a return trip to London. Given the vast availability of properties what could be a better recommendation. The apartment is as described – bright, clean, and spacious. It is a close walk to the tube station and the walking trails along the river. Communication with management both before and after the rental was excellent. I highly recommend this property to the discerning traveler.
Dealing with Elizabeth was so easy and helpful to book our stay. The Location was awesome, easy to get to the Rail / Bus services, great restaurants in walking distance, 20 Minute walk to Tower Bridge. Great Kitchen, great beds, easy access to the building. Loved our stay from 6.12.14 to 4.1.15.
Very nice and clean flat in a very quiet, trendy and charming area. The closest Pub is excellent and just above the river Thames. We bought delicious lamb chops at Wapping which was 5 min walking. Walk to Tower bridge was also very much appreciated (20 min). We all highly recommend this flat and many thanks to Elizabeth for her great help.
I cannot praise this flat enough! From the eternally patient Elizabeth who suffered through my numerous questions to the efficient housekeeper Anna, the logistics of the process were easy and painless. We arrived early and dropped our bags and when we returned from lunch, the apt. sparkled, despite the fact that a family occupied it before us.
The location is wonderful and if you've not considered Wapping, you'll be pleasantly surprised. It's a real neighborhood and the flat is in what appears to be a converted building. The street has cobblestones and is within walking distance to several pubs, a remarkable wine bar (The Victualler), the Wapping overground station (which can take you anyplace, with transfers) and one of the best Italian restaurants in London (Il Bordello). You can walk to St Katharines Dock (kinda touristy but cute), The Tower Bridge and beyond. Cabs are plentiful on Garnet St (just around the corner from the flat) and it's a great location for a visit.
Okay-full disclosure-we did not use the kitchen (except for the kettle) and the only thing in our fridge was water! But it was all there -stove, coffee maker, microwave , big fridge with freezer, etc. There is a dining room (we walked through it but did not linger) and a large living room with a big TV.
Both bedrooms were spacious with plenty of closets. The beds are great and both bathrooms are immaculate. YAY for plenty of hot water!
The decorations are too cute and as good as it looks in the pix--trust me, it looks bigger and better in person.
I come back to London every year on business and it will be my intention to stay here in 2015. That's the best recommendation I can give anyone considering this flat!
4 adults stayed at Wapping for one week and it was a perfect place to stay! The apartment was in walking distance to the tube and to many tourist sites. The apartment set up was perfect as the bedrooms were separate from the living room and kitchen giving everyone 'space'. A grocery store was within walking distance and there was a pub just a short block away were I could have eaten at every nite! This apartment was wonderful and had every amenity we could ask for. I would definitely recommend this apartment and stay here again!!
Accommodation is was great! The accommodation is very well structured, new, clean and very welcoming. There is everything you need. The neighborhood in which it is located is very quiet and the metro station is nearby and accessible. Recommended accommodation for familie with a large kitchen equipped with everything you need for cooking. The accommodation is situated in zone 2 of the tube and is very well located for easy access to central London. Very highly recommended and many many thanks to all Elizabeth it!.
