Spacious two bed, two bath zone 2 flat. Wif, balcony, terrace!

This gorgeous converted warehouse flat in a cobbled street five mins stroll from the new Wapping tube boasts great living space (especially in London terms) plus a large West-facing private balcony and also the use of a stunning huge riverside terrace. Both bedrooms are extremely spacious with large beds and big fitted wardrobes. The master bedroom has a Juliette balcony and an en-suite with bath, loo and basin. Bedroom two has its own bathroom with shower, loo and basin. Both bathrooms come equipped with heated towel rails, top-class towels - and lots of shelf space!

The spacious living room has three sofas, a chair, TV, radio and a large designer solid cherry wood dining table with eight chairs overlooking the balcony which has a solid oak Yask table and benches to seat eight and views of Shadwell Basin. The kitchen is fully-fitted with washer/dryer, dishwasher, waste disposal, oven, hob, fridge, freezer, microwave, coffee maker etc. Everything is provided for your comfort.

The flat is on the fourth floor with reliable lift so is suitable for older guests and those with children. As the building is old the flat does not have modern facilities for disabled guests although we have had a lady in a wheelchair stay very successfully.

Notes

  • Our tariff of £200 per night (or £1200 per week) covers four guests. For fewer than four guests the tariff is subject to a minimum rate of £200 per night or £1,200 per week. For parties of more than four we charge £50 per night per extra guest. We find this to be the fairest pricing model. Our minimum stay is 2 nights.
  • We also require a refundable deposit of £200 and a copy of the principal guest's passport for international visitors to cover any breakage or excessive cleaning costs. We expect a normal amount of clearing-up to be done but anything above the norm will be charged at cost and deducted from the deposit.

    We can order permits for parking bays at £2 each (£4 per day) but these last for five hours only so need to be changed at lunchtime or we can arrange secure under-building parking at £10 per day (for a minimum of three days). We can also organise a reliable and reasonably-priced Meet & Greet service from and to the airports and stations. The car will be of a higher standard and the fare much cheaper than you will find at the airport and the driver will be waiting for you with a nameboard as you leave Customs.

    We can also arrange long lets and we're generally very flexible when we can be, and friendly at all times!
  • Check-in is 4pm (16.00) and check-out is 10am (10.00). If we do not have any other guests leaving or arriving on that day we can arrange early check-in or late check-out but cannot guarantee this.

    Please note that our rates are based on the understanding that our guests take the Meet & Greet service, because our trusted car company holds a fob to access the keys to the apartment.

    If you do not take our Meet & Greet service then we charge 30 GBP for the check-in agent (this is what they charge us). We find this the fairest pricing model so that only those that require a freelance agent pay for them. The agent has to travel across London to the flat, wait for the guests, check them in and then return home so 30 GBP is a reasonable sum to pay them we feel. We do not make any profit on either the Meet & Greet service or the check-in agent.

  • There are two very large bedrooms; both with beautiful Heals beds, one superking (6') and one king (5') size. In each room there is a storabed, one Relyon and one Ecofurn both with immaculate top-quality mattresses. This means that each bedroom can sleep between two and four and we have photos of the bedrooms with all the beds in place and can email these on request. In the first bedroom there is plenty of room for three beds but the second bedroom is not as spacious so there is not much room left. However, there is plenty of room in the rest of the flat, balcony, communal terrace and London! There is also a double sofabed in the living room so we can sleep eight people comfortably and ten at a push. However, because there are only two bathrooms and because of the nature of the apartment block (quiet and residential - we are the only holiday let) we feel that the maximum occupancy is only really suitable for a family party. We, generally, cannot accept large parties of adults.

Notes: Unlike many other holiday lets we include everything in the price; taxes, gas, electricity, water, porter, wifi, use of the communal riverside terrace and even parking permits for onstreet parking (NB these have to be changed at lunchtime every day though as they only last for five hours. If you would prefer secure parking under the building this is available at £12 per day). Also included are highest quality bed linen and towels, tea, milk and all products including dishwasher tablets, laundry powder, toilet tissue and soap. We arrange cabs with a local, trusted firm who give us a discounted rate and also provide Oyster (uploadable travel) cards to save you having to pay the non-refundable initial payment on them. We also provide a UK mobile phone with some credit (but can add more before your arrival at your request) to enable you to telephone at much cheaper rates than using foreign mobiles. This also provides a way for you to contact us free-of-charge-to-you if necessary.

magnifique appartement !!!

A peine rentrée, je prends quelques minutes pour laisser un commentaire +++ pour ce superbe appartement très bien placé avec tout le nécéssaire pour passer un séjour de rêve. Nous étions 8 , 2 couples avec 4 enfants et nous n'avons eu aucun problème de place. Très bien situé il permet de joindre tous les monuments de londres en metro en une quelques minutes. Elisabeth donne tous les renseignements utiles pour trouver metro, supermarché... De même Elisabeth communique par mail pour prendre des nouvelles et savoir si votre séjour se passe bien. Bref je recommande ++++ pour visiter londres en famille ou entre amis. Merci encore à Elisabeth pour sa gentillesse.

This flat far exceeded any of my expectations. Everything was new, clean, and nice. We had eight and there was more than enough room for everyone. To top it off Elizabeth was just lovely to do business with. I booked 2 other homeaway properties and Elizabeth made booking flat by far the most enjoyable. I will defiantly be back to this flat. It was in an ideal location, easy access to anywhere in London.

A delightful place to stay

Two couples shared this VERY nice flat for 9 nights. It was well furnished, and very convenient ... just a short walk to the Wapping tube station and an even shorter walk to the "Prospect of Whitby" pub across the street. We made good use of the Oyster Cards in the flat, and it was a simple process to add travel days to the card. Also, there is a wealth of information available, maps, best pubs, attractions, etc. to look through in the flat.

Elizabeth was wonderful to work with, both during the planning process and after we arrived. We were very happy we took advantage of the "Meet and Greet" offered. Having to be at the airport at 4:45 a.m.!!!! was unpleasant, but knowing that Elizabeth had made the arrangements for our pickup relieved any anxiety.

We wouldn't hesitate to recommend or stay here again!

A very beautiful property in Wapping/London

We spend 3 nights with 8 people (4 adults and 4 kids) and I must admit everything was perfect, exept the weather but this is England !!! (we live in the north of France so...)
The flat was like described on the website, very enjoyable, well furnished and perfectly clean.
It fits perfectly for 8 people as there are 8 beds (2 doubles and 4 singles).
Going to the tube station or to the bus stop is only a 5 minutes walk, thames is on the other side of the street. Wapping is a nice, quite and safe place, close to attractions.
Before we arrived, I had a lot of emails with Elizabeth and she was very communicative and full of nice advices to make our visit as easy as possible (Oyster cards, books, visit proposals...)
For example, a nice thing to do it to take the bus (D3) from the flat to the isle of dogs near Canary Wharf, then the foot tunnel to Greenwich then a river cruise from Greenwich to Westminster...
We had the flat available earlier than expected (noon), and just let the keys in the mailbox on the day we left it, perfect !
So it really worth the price and I recommend this property to anyone who expect to find a nice/quite/safe appartment in the center of london, close to everything.

Wonderful hospitality

My family group of 5 adults enjoyed our 8-day stay very much, thanks to excellent communications with manager Elizabeth, and assistance from the owners when needed. The flat is spacious, all the equipment up-to-date and in fine working order. The bath towels were thick and fluffy, plenty of hot water, and everything was very clean. We invited two friends for dinner one night. Plenty of room, plenty of dishes and glassware, and kitchen facilities quite up to par. There are many guide books on the coffee table, Oyster cards for the tube, a land-line phone. We lacked for nothing. Although the location is away from central London, transport is very good, with 2 nearby bus lines and Wapping station a short walk. Advantage: the neighborhood is very quiet. Nice supermarket is a short bus ride away. I highly recommend this flat, and may thanks to Elizabeth and the owners for their kind hospitality.
