Grockle nook is a totally private self contained, self catering studio apartment that sleeps up to 4 (2 Adults + 2 Children) with free off road parking directly outside the apartment for your exclusive use. There is also free WiFi internet connection. The interior has been fitted & furnished to the highest of standards with only your total comfort in mind & fully equipped with everything that you could possible need. The front entrance is accessed through a small private courtyard. All rooms of the apartment are on the ground level. The apartment sleeps 2 adults on a very comfy super king size bed (just what's needed for a super nights sleep) & able to accommodate 2 others on the very large cream leather sofa bed (2 single beds can also be arranged on request). This beautiful apartment is situated in a peaceful location & ideally located for the town center and harbor. The local attractions, golfing, hiking, the sea & beaches are just minutes away. We supply free of charge a welcome pack of milk, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, selection of herbal teas, bread, fresh fruit, biscuits, chocolate, a cream tea for two plus a bottle of red wine.

The apartment has It's own pretty garden/patio area which has a BBQ, patio heater, lighting, table and chairs. Perfect for those warm summer Brixham nights when you want to relax and do Al-fresco dining. The kitchen/dining room overlooks the garden/patio area. This is open plan with solid cherry wood shaker cabinets with lot's of storage space and even two wine racks. Cream slate flooring & contemporary sunken halogen spot's and up lights giving discreet but bright lighting. There are washing/drying facilities available free of charge.

Brixham Week Away

My Wife and I had a great time in Brixham at the Grockle Nook apartment. The apartment had everything anybody could need for a comfortable stay away from home. In terms of location, we spent two days cycling and one day at the beach during our time there so there are plenty of options for people who want to explore the local area.

Sharon was a pleasure to deal with and the cream tea on arrival was especially welcomed. We hope to return next year!

Very comfortable apartment.

Margaret and i had a very enjoyable week at Grocklenook. The apartment was very comfortable and well equipped. The cream tea and milk and bread and of course the bottle of wine was a very nice welcoming gift. Marvelous weather was a nice bonus. Unfortunately we only met Sharon briefly because she was poorly, but she was extremely friendly and helpful.

wonderful weeks stay at Grockle Nook

If your looking for a comfortable, well equipped apartment then you can't do far better than Grockle Nook. The apartment was spacious and home- like with absolutely everything you could possibly need. Sharon and Terry the owners were amazing and made our stay all the more special, nothing was too much trouble and they are wonderful hosts. Where else do you get a welcome cream tea and a bottle of wine.

Grockle Nook is conveniently located in a quiet road but after a 10 min stroll walking the dog on our first day we were thrilled to see the sea and find Battery Park which is delightful. The walk along the coastal path from Battery park takes you through wooded cliff tops to secret coves... I was in heaven. There is also a small shopping area 5 minutes walk away which is extremely convenient, perfect if you have run out of bread, milk e.t.c but it stocks practically everything.

We spent much of out time looking around Brixham and walking the coast paths and it was always lovely returning to the apartment to chill out in the garden areas, with the swing seat being a particular favourite area. Getting in and out of Brixham from the location was very easy and I also noted that there are regular bus routes are from the top and bottom of the road so would be extremely useful for anyone with mobility issues.

Wonderful hosts, wonderful apartment, wonderful weather, wonderful Brixham .....I will return !!!

A lovely stay in Grockle Nook

We stayed at Grockle Nook for one week 6th April 2013. We had a lovely time and would recommend this apartment.

The apartment was very well equipped with everything you could need for a self catering holiday, we even had soaps and shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush and toothpaste!!! For the money we paid this was a very pleasant surprise. A lovely garden, quiet position, with parking.

We walked into Brixham most evenings, it's a good 15 min walk, quite a steep hill going back up, but we managed it with one guest having had a hip replacement and a 3 year old (who walked).

Sorry we didn't get to meet Sharon the owner. We would not hesitate to recommend. Value for money..... excellent!!!!

We really enjoyed our stay here in Brixham. We both loved the apartment and the garden and didn't want to go home. The apartment was clean and very well equipped and Sharon could not have been more welcoming or helpful. We would definitely recommend this property.

Brixham is oozing with charm & character. Steeped in history that goes back several hundred years, it's not hard to absorb the atmosphere of the town. Life in Brixham centres around it's pretty harbour. Take a wander around the harbour side & watch the fishermen unload their daily catch. Situated in a suburb location for exploring the surrounding countryside. You are just 10 min walk to the harbour where you can enjoy a deep sea fishing trip or take a ferry cruise to either Torquay or Dartmouth along the breathtaking coastline. Spend the day shopping at the antique shops or art studios in Dartmouth, were The Royal Naval College is situated (you may just spot a member of the Royal family). Nearby Berry Head, Country Park boasts spectacular views across the bay, with ruins of a Napoleonic fort. Why not take a walk on Dartmoor, stop for a scone & clotted cream lunch at a country pub or spend the day on one of the many sandy beaches or splash away the day at the Water Park.
