Located in a private gated community at Calahonda with direct access to the Luna Beach (recently awarded a blue flag) and beach restaurant, this lovely apartment is an ideal family holiday location. The complex has 2 large pools and 2 children's pools with ample areas for sunbathing. Shops, restaurants and bars, and the beautiful port of Cabopino are all within easy walking distance. A convenient bus service to Marbella, Fuengirola and other local resorts is easily accessed at the front of the complex, for those not wishing to drive. The apartment is comfortably furnished with a large living area including 2 sofas and a sofabed. Open kitchen/dining area with dining table and six chairs, hob, fridge, mini-fridge and microwave. Large bathroom (shower over bath). Air Conditioning and heating are fitted and other facilities include Flat Screen TV, DVD, with UK satellite and a washing machine.

Sports facilities: The Costa Del Sol is a Golfers Paradise with dozens of fantastic courses within easy reach, Cabopino is less than a mile away. Tennis is available within Calahonda and Miraflores. Skiing (Sierra Nevadas - Nov - Apr) sailing, diving and all sorts of water sports are all readily available in the area.

We have just returned from a weeks stay at this apartment, the desciption of the apartment & the location was spot on,the apartment was very clean, well maintained and spacious with a great sea view. The customer service received from the owner Catherine, through to the Managing Agents Solfinders was seamless, I would definatly recommend this apartment to friends & family.
The communal areas of the building, the pools & surrounding areas are spotlessly clean & very well maintained, the apartments are secure & safe as they are in a gated community accessed only by a key.
The beach is a blue flag beach & the sun beds might just be the most comfortable sunbeds on the Costa Del Sol!
The restaurant in the square just over the footbridge is great value for money as is Jacks also just over the footbridge, we are familiar with this area of Spain so also ate out at El Zoccos which we know well it is a 25 minute walk or a couple of stops on the bus towards Malaga.
All in all a thoroughly enjoyable holiday & I would not think twice about returning with my family.

A VERY RELAXING HOLIDAY

Just come back from holidaying at Marbellamar and we have had a lovely time. A friend and I visited without husbands or kids to get away from it all and the apartment certainly allowed us to do that. The apartment is very spacious with a lovely view of the sea from the terrace and we quite liked the fact that some steps go right past the terrace so various people go past and say hello. We spent all our time either at the apartment or on the beach right in front of the apartments as there is quite a busy road behind the apartments separating the rest of Calahonda from the beach area and we wanted to be by the sea. The beach bar restaurant right in front of the apartment is lovely - serving really nice food at reasonable prices. You can rent a couple of sunbeds (reserve them the day before) for 10 euro a day which we did almost every day and then you get waiter service for drinks from the bar - very relaxing. We did almost nothing for a week but I am sure that the apartment would also be great if you wanted to explore around too as it is right between Marbella and Fuengirola. There is currently some construction work going on as they are building a path to other sea side towns on the front (good idea). we were worried at first that this would be noisy and spoil the holiday as you can see it from the balcony. But the workers were reasonably considerate with the times they worked and the disruption caused. I would like to come back in a year and make use of the path they are building.

Owner's Response: There are also sunbeds in the apartment which can be taken down to the pool area free of charge. Although the main road does indeed separate the beach area from the rest of Calahonda there is a footbridge over it just outside the apartment block (which also gives wheelchair and pushchair access). Therefore, it takes only two or three minutes to walk to the nearest shops, bars and restaurants.
The work going on is minor and will be completed before the next season.

EXCELLENT APARTMENT. LOVELY RELAXING BREAK!

I had a lovely relaxing holiday. The apartment was exactly as listed and the location is ideal. You can easily use the bus to get to different areas or take a leisurely stroll along the beach.
The property was very clean and well maintained and has everything you need. The terrace is situated looking out onto the beach which is ideal for sitting and relaxing.
There are shops just across the road and a restaurant that had lovely food all within walking distance.
I would definitely recommend this apartment and hope to go back again myself.

CLEAN, SPACIOUS AND CONVENIENT FOR THE BEACH.

The apartment was spotless on our arrival and the beds comfortable ensuring a good night's sleep. The air conditioning kept the property cool and this was a must in August. The supermarket was a ten minute walk away and we ate in the apartment quite a few times. The beach was visible from the patio and a few minutes walk away through a locked gate to which we had a key. There are a few restaurants near by and we also took a bus to Marbella one evening. This is a quiet part of the Costa del Sol - even in August. There are no sunbeds around the pools so we sat on the grass. A very quiet and relaxing week had by all.

Owner's Response: It is at the quiet end of Calahonda but you can have the best of both worlds as the livelier part is only a few minutes' walk away, and Marbella and other resorts a short bus or taxi ride away.
The two supermarkets are only a few metres away and the time taken to walk to them will probably depend on one's fitness level and the temperature. Sometimes it can be done comfortably in 5 minutes, but will take a bit longer when it's very hot.
There are no sunbeds around the pool permanently because it isn't specifically a holiday complex and the community is privately owned. However, there are two sunbeds, two beach chairs and several patio chairs in the apartment which can be used on the patio or taken into the gardens and by the pools. Additionally, there are sunbeds at the beach bar, which can be hired for a small daily fee.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED BEACH SIDE APARTMENT

Our family have just returned from two very relaxing and enjoyable weeks at this clean and well-equipped apartment.
Everyone is very friendly and the gardens are quiet and peaceful
The apartment is as everyone else has described with everything you need.
The grounds are very well kept and the pools clean, the lovely long clean beach is just through the garden gate, you can walk for miles.
This area of Calahonda is quiet, there are two good sized supermarkets, (a Supersol & Aldi), plus other shops, cafes and restaurants over the road, all are easily reached either from over the footbridge, or from an underpass to the beach.
There are plenty of quiet streets and a small park nearby for strolls, and the port of Cabopeno is worth a 10 minute walk along the beach for its restaurants and to watch the world and its boats go by !
We didn’t hire a car, and you don’t really need one, but we did go by the local bus to Marbella (2 euros) for a day trip, the old town is very nice and also to Mijas village 20km, which is definitely worth a look around.
All in all I would honestly recommend this holiday apartment for its good location, cleanliness of the pool and gardens and local amenities.

We were really pleased. This is a lovely apartment and when we arrived it was spotlessly clean and fresh everywhere. The glass in the patio doors was sparkling clean and everything worked. There was a selection of tea and coffee sachets on the worktop; the two refridgerators had been switched on ready for us with even a complimentary carton of fresh milk in the fridge. To add to that, we also later found the communal areas of the block and the gardens to be immaculately well kept and cleaned every day. It all felt really nice and welcoming.

There is a splendid sea view from the balcony with access to the lovely beach through a door in the security fence just across the lawn in front. Access in and out is controlled by key. To be fair, the whole area of Calahonda and Cabopino harbour felt very safe.

There are two large and two childrens pools within the resident's area and they were beautifully maintained. This was low season but they were all cleaned twice a day nevertheless. The apartment blocks are situated between the beach and the main coast road. There is plenty of parking, no problem from traffic noise because the block is shielded by trees and crossing the dual carriageway is really safe by either footbridge or the tunnel used for vehicle access to the beach. They are both right outside. Driving from the short slip road onto the main road however sometimes needs a bit of patience when traffic levels are high..

There are two good supermarkets across the road and several shops, cafes and restaurants, including Mr Chang's Chinese restaurant which I can personally recommend. The Spanish Supersol supermarket does an excellent all-day English breakfast including tea or coffee with a table by the fountain for 4 Euros - terrific value.

We had one but there is no real need to hire a car. There is plenty to do within walking distance and a good frequent bus service from right outside the front door along the coast road in either direction towards Marbella or Malaga.

The apartment is ideal for a quiet relaxing holiday and especially suitable for children or as a base for exploring the area. The Alhambra palace and gardens at Granada; Gibraltar; Torremolinos; the lovely mountain towns of Mijas and Ronda are all within very comfortable day trip distance.

Owner's Response: The main road, as you say is not a problem because the noise of traffic is shielded from the apartment, pools and beach. The benefits are that the apartment is beachside but the road is easily accessed to take you to other places along the coast.

The apartment is situated on the beach side of Calahonda, a short walk from local shops, bars, supermarkets, restaurants, beach bars and the beautiful marina of Puerto Cabopino. Malaga airport is approximately 30 minutes drive. Several large towns and shopping centres (inducing Marbella, Puerto Banus and Fuengirola) are only a 10 -15 minutes drive and there are many beaches and smaller resorts, close-by, along the coast. A little further afield, Gibraltar (which also has an airport) and the ancient town of Ronda are an hour's drive away. Within 2 to 3 hours you can reach; Granada, Seville, Cordoba and the Sierra Nevada for sightseeing or skiing. Local buses travelling between Malaga and Marbella stop outside the apartment. North Africa (Tangier) is a short ferry ride from Gibraltar
