We have recently returned home after a short break staying in this delightful home. Everything we wanted, lovely views, fully equipped, not far into town and lots to do in the area. It was great to leave the car alone and walk everywhere or catch the bus. If you are here for one week would recommend getting the weekly bus pass, around £17. I definitely recommend Blue Skies and hope that one day we will return.

A growing number of visitors follow your success in just parking the car a lot of the time and using local transport. This for much of the year also includes using the ferries to nearby towns and places of interest, sailing from Brixham's inner harbour, which in recent years have charged very low prices due to increased competition.

fantastic cottage

we have only arrived back home today and all ready missing the cottage, had a fantastic stay very pleased with the whole cottage the views from the main bedroom window and the other two rooms over looking the south side of the harbour are picturesque .
Every morning sitting at the dining table at breakfast was a treat to watch the world go by down below in the harbour.
The kitchen was really impressive well equiped, we have never been on holiday before to a place where all the small things are there that you may sometimes forget ie salt pepper clingfilm ,i even took my own pegs to discover there were all ready some by the line .
We didn't feel on top of one another either as there as two sitting rooms one we used regular the dining room which has stunning views of the harbour which has a tv and cd player and the kitchen opposite and we also used the the sitting room at the bottom of the cottage below the main bedroom for chilling with a dvd in the evening; my husband liked to call it the man cave haha :) the patio area which leads off the man cave is a sun trap as described in the advert lovely to sit and enjoy a glass of wine .
The top bedroom at the very top of the cottage has steep stairs but my teenage daughter was very happy up there .
There are many different ways down to the harbour some nice strolls down the slopes or different sets of steps, 101 one way and alot less on the other. My legs have definitely had a work out.
We recommend the large old market restaurant on the harbour next to the ship lovely food great service and a 5 minute walk from the cottage Berry head is definitely a must to visit i have never seen anything so beautiful in my life .
the only problem we had was the parking you are very lucky to have a space opposite free we had to park most of the time in nearby streets which we didnt like the idea of but they were safe and right outside houses .
Overall we loved blue skies and would definitely come back and recommend to others and the owner is very friendly very helpful communication is spot on thank you for a enjoyable holiday in Brixham

This cottage is absolutely superb, the view is amazing, the house is like a tardis, furnishing is lovely, best equipped kitchen i've ever seen, delightful art and decor, highly recommend but BEWARE, there are 105 steps down to the quay, which after an evening out are a killer!!
Owner's Response: Your review was greatly appreciated.
You were far more energetic than we are to use the commando 'killer' steps back from the harbour and town.We locals and pram owners are lazier and prefer a scenic quick stroll back along the old streets - avoiding all steps completely.
I will leave a map by the front door to show 2 or 3 enjoyable routes.
