Large villa, open plan living area, near Puerto Banus, Marbella, & Estepona

A pretty villa set in large gardens, mature trees and pretty lanes surrounded by attractive Spanish villas leading to the sea. There is a large adult swimming pool and a big paddling/swimming pool excellent for children, belonging to the small community.

The villa has its own garden, courtyard, roof garden terrace and car port. There is a local shop on the community which sells freshly baked bread daily. Shops, bars, restaurants and the beach are all within a short walking distance from the villa. The beach is 200 metres away down a quiet private lane, where a walk either way will bring you to a beach restaurant, water sports or simply peace and tranquility. Views of Gibraltar and north Africa can be clearly seen from the beach.

Tennis is available 10 min drive away at the Belair Club. Golfers have a choice, including La Quinta, Las Brisas and Los Naranjos. Horse riding, deep sea fishing and scuba diving are also within easy reach. Stunning Puerto Banus and historic Marbella are within 3-4 miles from the villa.

The villa opens onto a tiled hallway leading to a spacious, Lounge/Dining Room and fully equipped Kitchen with a door to enter its courtyard with table and chairs. The open plan Lounge/Dining Room has a slimline TV and CD player, and overlooks the kitchen courtyard. On the ground floor there are two twin-bedded bedrooms with a separate Shower Room with shower, bidet, hand basin & w.c. Upstairs there is a gallery landing area with ironing board, iron and 2 clothes horses. This leads to a large double bedroom with its own fully tiled en-suite Bathroom with bath, shower, bidet and w.c. French windows from the double bedroom open onto a terrace, equipped with seating, overlooking gardens and a swimming pool. The door from the first floor gallery landing leads onto the large roof terrace. This overlooks gardens and villas to the sea. It is a wonderful setting for sunbathing and evening barbeques.

The floors are beautifully laid with authentic Spanish tiles throughout.

There is a good choice of shops, bars and restaurants and the beach are all within easy walking distance. Taxis and buses are readily available.

For those who do not want to venture far, a walk along the beach either way will bring you to a beach restaurant or simply peace and tranquility. Just a short walk away is the Crowne Hotel, which can be used by non-residents which is sophisticated and beautifully designed offering drinks beside a pool bar. Suitable for adults but also very popular with children. There is something to suit every taste, with the discos and bars in nearby Puerto Banus open all night long!

Over the footbridge there are shops and restaurants in easy walking distance. Within 1 kilometre towards Estepona are 2 supermarkets, Super Sol & Mercadona. Further along the coast on entering Estepona is Carrefour. In the other direction, a 15 min drive towards Marbella, is the Hippercore supermarket below the famous exclusive department store, Court Ingles.

Benamara Pueblo is well placed to visit the varied places of interest in Andalusia, Southern Spain. Combined with great art, moorish architecture, nature reserves and a relaxed atmosphere are all of Spain's stereotypes - bullfighters, beaches, flamenco, white painted villages, cave houses, colourful fiestas, religious processions, tapas and wines. The very mild winters make it ideal for exploring and enjoyment without missing out on the glorious beach life during the hot summers.

Benamara comprises of small beach side complexes with beautiful pools set in matured landscaped gardens surrounded by colourful flowers, bushes and shady trees which provide local walks to bars and varied restaurants. Neighbouring Estepona marina offers most water sports plus picturesque beaches. Marbella is a short drive away with Orange Square, 16th Century town hall, stately buildings and honeycomb of narrow streets. Visit the remains of the Roman Villa at Rio Verde and the Roman bath houses at Guadalmina. Charismatic Puerto Banus marina is a nearby attraction with luxury yachts surrounded by exotic shops, restaurants, bars and night clubs. Other coastal towns, San Pedro, Malaga, Fuengirola, Algerciras, Rhonda and famous little villages like Casares. Ojen and Benhavis are within easy reach by bus or car. Further afield explore Seville or Granada. Gibralter is a 45 min drive away. Open air markets are entertaining, especially on Saturday morning at the Bull Ring of Puerto Banus.

A family from Denmark

We had a very nice stay in this beautiful house in Spain. The house was large and week equipped both with ketchen supplies and furnitures - inside as well as outside. We spend som any hors on the very large roof terrace which could easily room all six of us with sunbeds and chairs. And if it was too sunny we just used the two umbrellas and the evenings where also amazing up there and we used the BBQ several times. All in all we parents along with our four children from 15 to 23 of age enhoyed the house as well as the area. All four of them easily found their way around for shopping and pool.
We did however rent a car to be able to go see both the port of Estapona, Gibraltar and other beaches along the coast. Also for the grocery shopping for 6 persons were easily made in the larger supermarket Carrefore by car.

We would not hesitate to return to this wonderfull house

Ideal for families

The villa was ideally suited for my wife and I, son and partner (who used the annex) and my daughter, son-in-law and grandson (aged 2). The annex was useful for all of us when it was our grandson's bedtime so he wouldn't hear us chatting away.There was plenty of room and everything you would need as you would at home. We made good use of the roof terrace as well as the nearby swimming and paddling pools. There is a bar at the top of the street and a mini-market where the staff were very friendly and made you feel welcome. (The bar had free Wi-Fi.) There are various eating places nearby with more restaurants and shops which were accessed by using the walkway over the main road - so very safe when we were out with our grandson. It is in a peaceful location and we felt very safe, especially as we had a two year old running about the villa and garden. He was especially fascinated by the 'helicopter fans' on the ceilings. There is also a small courtyard off the kitchen which is a great suntrap for drying washing - or handy for breakfast times before it became too hot.
All in all a great situation for families of mixed ages.

Beautiful Villa!

Absolutely beautiful villa in lovely grounds. We cooked every day in the great sized kitchen and ate on the roof terrace which provides great views of the sea and is also a great place to sun bathe if you don't fancy the pool! The pool is a stones throw away from the villa and is extremely large with a lot of room to lounge. Every morning we got delicious fresh pastries and bread from the market which was just around the corner. If we stay here again we will get the annexe as well as i think we would have benefited from the extra space. Overall a great villa and Roy And Liz could not have been more accommodating.

Great Holiday

We very much enjoyed our family holiday during the summer 2012 at this lovely villa. It was a holiday to remember in the best possible way ! The overall enjoyment factor during our stay exceeded our expectations.

We were so glad we took the extension which gave us the extra accommodation with the large double bedroom and ensuite, including the beautiful large lounge with french windows opening onto the private patio and garden. The spacious roof terrace where we ate memorable family dinners in the evenings, the terrace with the first flloor bedroom and the courtyard leading from the kitchen were all superb outdoor areas to enjoy the Spanish weather.

The adults and children were so happy with the large paddling pool for our three year old and the large adult pool where we all swam and played most days. The large mature trees in the garden afforded wonderful shade where we had many picnics. As a treat the beach was only a five minute walk away down a peaceful lane.

The location is very good with Marbella, glamourous Puerto Banus and typical Spanish town of Estepona all about fifteen minutes drive away. Everyone was happy with the diversity of the activities and historic places to visit. Lunch, dinner or drinks out were met with plenty of variety either within a leisurely walk or lovely drive to pretty Spanish locations.

Our perfect family vacation

It was our very first vacation together with our 10 monthes old son and the villa with its nice garden and very convinient facilitiies has become an ideal place for us. The neighborhood is quite and peacefull, the sea is 5 minutes walk. There are plenty of places to eat not far away and places to buy products if you prefer to cook yourself, which is also very easy because the kitchen is very well equiped. The bedrooms are very cosy and full of light. Two terraces and the barbecue place made our evenings really pleasant. Due to info notes the owners have left it is very easy and convinient to operate in the house and it gives you a sence of a friendly environment.
There are two pools 1 minute walk away, our son loved the pool even more than the sea.
I will defenetly recommend this place to friends, especially to families with little kids to have a perfect vacation as ours was.

Great value for the money

Our family (three kids 15,13,8) found the villa very sutiable. Where is a lot of room and an outdoor terrace in every direction. We found the roof top terrace very useful especially since our trip was in eastertime and it was not to hot.
It was a little chilly since the weather was a litle rainy, but there is a gas heater in the living room to fix that.
The villa is well equipped with what ever you may need. The nearby pool i nice and big and it's also possible to go down to the sea for a swim. However we found the beach in nearby Estepona more sutiable.
Thera are several nearby supermarkets and restaurangs. It can be a little tricky to find your way back on the main road since it has divided driving lanes. We found our GPS very useful. You can also ask the helpful and friendly manager Vicky.

We were very content with our stay and can recommend this villa to everyone.

The Costa del Sol is a mecca for its mix of mountains, beaches, marinas, historical interests, tiny picturesque villages, wines and seafood restaurants situated directly on the beaches. On the opposite side of the coast line is where the beautiful mountain ranges are located in which many interesting historic villages are located along the foothills. The climate is generally amicable and appealing during all seasons throughout the year.

Marbella is ideal for eating out in the ambience of its Orange Square in the old town or the restaurants overlooking the beach and its marina which is 15 minutes drive.

Puerto Banus with its glamorous nightlife is only 10 minutes drive away. This is an exotic coastal resort where the exclusive marina has luxury boats on their moorings which provides a memorable environment for either a day or nigh out.

San Pedro on the way to Puerto Banus offers both beach with a well designed promenade and behind a pedestrianised town. This historic fishing village has been built up over the years and now there are many small shops, diverse bars and restaurants with a variety of cuisines.

Estepona, 15 min drive is a typical Spanish seaside town. Fish restaurants along the beach, palm trees and colourful flowers everywhere. There is an interesting marina in the port. Also there is a large Carrefore supermarket on entering Estepona along the coast.

Benhavis is a stunning village set 20 minutes breathtaking drive high up the mountains. Famous for its local ambience and restaurants. Early evening local walks are recommended.

Casares, built as a moorish fortress into the mountain, is 30 minutes on the N340 towards Gibraltar. Part of old Spain, historic artchitecture and pretty restaurants. There are old castle ruins above the town with splendid views down to the coast.

Rhonda an historic town with its magnificent gorge and views is a 40 minutes scenic drive through mountain passes. Many local residents take customary early evening walks in the town.

Selwo Wildlife & Adventure Park is 10 minutes drive away.

There are two Aqua parks, the nearest being in Fuengirola 25 minutes drive away.

Gibraltar is a 45 minute drive along the coast. There is a museum and cable car trips onto the top where persons can enter the caves and where apes have been living and nurtured for many years. Gibraltar can be seen from the beach at the bottom of the lane from the villa together with North Africa.

Beyond Gibraltar there is the town of Tarifa and the Atlantic coast line renowned for its white sandy beaches and wind surfing activities.
