These particular properties are on 2nd & 3rd flrs and measure approximately 80 Sq. Meters each. It is an open-plan kitchen to living and has two double bedrooms, two bathrooms of which one ensuite. Nice view North over the Union Park complex from Livingroom, Living/Open Plan Kitchen ,Kitchen; Master Bedroom W/En-Suite with shower (14ft X7ft); Second Bedroom (13ft X 8ft); second/family Bathroomn with bath. In terms of furnishings:- Dining Room Table & 6 Chairs, Sofa Bed for Two in Livingroom, Colour Television connected to freeview TV + DVD Player and cd player. We do have wireless broadband connection.

THE PERFECT VACTION SPOT

This property was perfect for some very hard to please travellers. This is the first time I have travelled with older persons and both of the ladies I travelled with loved the flat. It was clean and large enough for everyone to have their own sleeping space. It's convenience to the bus lines made it easy to get around Greenwich and into Central London. Having all the amenities of nearby shops, a kitchen, and washer/drier is always a plus when travelling, and the close proximity of good neighborhood restaurants is a bonus.
The complex itself was quiet and the hallways and common areas were always clean.
Thank you all for a great leg up on a wonderful vaction.
I will definately recommend your services and this site to all my friends that travel.

UNFORTUNATELY, ONLY MODERATELY

Location: The connection with the bus to the subway 10-15 minutes. With the subway about 30 minutes into the city.

Apartment: The apartment is situated on a busy street, it was very loud. Otherwise, good size, suitable for 5 people. Kitchen equipment is minimal.

Cleanliness: bad! Upon our arrival, the apartment was not cleaned professionally. The floors were dusty and uncleaned sanitary facilities.

Communication: was difficult and tedious. The key to the apartment you only get during office hours. We arrived on a Sunday (outside office hours). After many emails a taxi driver with the keys to the apartment from London / Heathrow had to be ordered from us. This trip cost us 90 GBP.

The accounting department was not informed about our payments. So we had to visit during the holidays in order to clarify the incident to the office.

Recommendation: no, we can not recommend

I am sorry you feel you had a bad experience in our apartments and empathise with you. On our side, we try our best to satisfy as many needs as possible. Under our direct control are payroll, maintenance and housekeeping (cleaning) and to be fair, cleaning is an area which we are working on a lot harder with our present cleaning staff (who are presently 'on notice') and a bad experience due to cleaning is the last thing we want to happen. So we apologise for this.

Firstly, as the airport transfer service is not under our control, I sent over your comments and this was their answer. What I did not understand was why you would bring in the element of price for the transfer for five people, as presumably you would have known the price in Germany prior to your flight out?

AIRPORT TRANSFER SERVICE
" There were 2 emails so not sure where he gets ‘many’ from. Each email required them to provide us with details. Both transfers went smoothly. No error on Sat-in Car-s part"

MAINTENANCE
In terms of other issues you brought to our attention on monday, I believe maintenance came over and spoke to you regarding the window operation in the apartment while you were there. In addition, I went over and re-connected the hose to the vacuum cleaner which was and still is working fine…Vax vacuum cleaners have a different hose connection than most vacuum cleaners as explained to you in the office.

ACCOUNTS
With regards to accounts, you were very good and let us know when your deposit was arriving and we were easily able to reconcile this and we sent you an e-mail to confirm safe deposit. For the rent, you did not send us an e-mail and to be fair, there is a lot of activity in our account. However, once again, when we sent out an e-mail letting you know that the rent had not arrived why did you simply not go ahead and respond that you had sent it and the date and we could have easily reconciled accounts at that point?

TRANSPORT
Although the FW website advertisement does not mention it, the information we sent you recommended the use of the train, a 5 minute walk from the flat with commuting time into Charing Cross of about 12 minutes.

GOOD SIZE BUT AVERAGE

Location - far from central London. It is about 40 minutes to 1 hour via rail, bus or metro.

Transportation - access to bus is excellent, right outside the door of the complex. Access to rail is a 5-10 minutes walk. Access to metro is via bus or 10-15 minutes walk depending on stations.

Apartment - accurate. Large size for 5 of us. Has everything that is needed but minimal. Apartment not very well maintained. Only 1 roll of toilet paper in each bathroom.

Cleanliness - sorry to say it is poor. My teenaged daughter immediately vacuumed the floor. Mold in showers. Kitchen not clean. Not satisfactory.

Neighborhood - middle class working neighborhood. No safety concerns. Grocery stores within 5 minutes walk. We did not dine out within the neighborhood as we did not find any attractive choices within walking distance.

Communication - There is long delay in responding in emails or sometime no response from rental agent.

Recommendation - No. I would not recommend the rental agent or this unit to my friends or relative.

I understand this is not any overwhelmingly positive review for this unit but I am being very factual. I have traveled all over the world and used VRBO for many of my stays and this is the first one that is average :(

I am sorry you felt this way about the apartment you rented with us.

We have been renting apartments out for the last 6+ years now via the Homeaway network and never had such an average comment so all we can do is try harder and improve our service.

In terms of answers, the only thing we would disagree with you strongly about is the communication link with Central London.

Throughout our time living in theneighbourhood (11 years), the Maze Hill train has always been an easy commute into Central London with London Bridge and Charring Cross(Trafalgar Square) in 12-15 minutes but If you head further west of town it might take you up to 1h to reach places such as Hampton Court .

With regard to the cleanliness of the flat your review came as a real surprise to us. When you requested an assisted and early check-in and we met you and your family at the apartment and we walked you through there was no mention of any issues. You were always welcome to call us as we do respond to queries and try and get them fixed as soon as possible.

Honestly speaking, we did not hear from you at all during your stay nor have we found any e-mails in our junk mail folder or anywhere else.

To help with the first day we do offer a basic welcome pack that includes 2 rolls of toilet paper, some cleaning products and few dishwasher tablets but we never thought a family of four would need more than 2 toilet papers over a course of a sightseeing week.

We will of course as mentioned before,try harder next time.

GREAT FLAT IN A GREAT SPOT

The flat is located in a very nice place in Greenwich. I booked the flat for my family, so wanted somewhere close but out of the city. Knowing the area previously, there is a regular train from Maze hill to London, and it is walking distance (15-30 minutes) to Greenwich park and Greenwich centre.

Julian and Francesca were wonderful to deal with, and the flat was kept in great condition. It is worth noting that there is no lift in the building, so be prepared for a few blocks of stairs. Shops are about two blocks away, and towards the rail station and Greenwich town. The flat is on a major road, however the windows are well insulated from the noise. My family really enjoyed their stay.

GREENWICH APART

We spent very nice holidays at this apartment. Large, enough place for 7 persons, clean, well equipped, calm, nice view. Bus stop is just in front of the building, a lot of shops and restaurants are near. Centre of London is 1 hour - 1, 5 hour by bus and metro, or 25 -60 minutes by car (depends on the traffic).
It is very pleasant to deal with Mr. Jarvis, customer oriented he was able to answer to all our questions and to help us to have a nice trip to London.

A resource you might want to use in the future is www.tfl.gov.uk (journey planner). It gives precise times for trains from nearby Westcombe Hill to London Bridge which tend to be about 15 minutes. London traffic can be awful if you are using a bus or a car.

It is easy. We are in Central London Zone 2. Cutty Sark DLR and Greenwich North Jubilee Line.:-)

This property is approximately a 15 minute walk to Historical Greenwich. The location is ideal. It is perfect because Greenwich Park and Blackheath are nearby and Cutty Sark DLR and Greenwich North is equidistant 15-20 mins walk. It is a perfect location to get to Canary Wharf.. Spectacular new additions to the nearby vicinity will be the ‘02’ Entertainment centre at nearby Greenwich Millennium Village as well as the New East Greenwich Centre (A mixed use-commercial residential centre including the Greenwich Library). Greenwich University is a 5-10 minute walk in.

It is close to the A2 and therefore the commute to Kent and its Golf Courses or into London via car and its attractions is easy. Nearby on the Greenwich Peninsula a strip mall including Sainsburys, B&Q, ASDA, COMET and many others satisfies immediate purchasing needs while the Bluewater Shopping Centre is 20mins.
