The apartment is capable of holding up to four people and has a modern décor master en suite bedroom with both a rotary fan system and air conditioning. The twin bedrooms also offer spacious accommodation again with both rotary fan and air conditioning for your comfort. The apartment contains a family bathroom with spacious bathing and shower facilities, bathing and beach towels are also provided upon request. It includes a maid service and a transfer service is available. The kitchen and dining area are fully furnished with all modern appliances. The living area is furnished to a high standard, which offers comfort and convenience including a television and a portable stereo system. Finally, situated on the third floor are the sun terrace, swimming pool and baby pool, which offer magnificent views both during the day and evening of the local beach

A lovely holiday

We stayed here for 2 weeks in Jan 2010, and have nothing bad to say about the place. The location and facilities were exactly as described and the appartment was very clean.
The people that run Beau Sejour are extremely nice and warm, they made us feel very welcome from the moment we stepped out of the minibus they had arranged for us.
The pool area was nice and we spent many many nights there on the roof gazing at stars and enjoying local white wine. We would definitely recommend Beau Sejour to anybody, who wants a relaxed atmosphere and a perfect location in Mauritius.
There was a 24/7 guard in the premises and housekeeping was available pretty much every day if required. There was a possibility to use a washing machine at the roof top when needed and we found it very useful.
All in all we had a very good stay and plan to come back some day!

Great place to stay

We stayed here as a group of 4 people and found the apartment to be very clean and tidy, with all the appliances you need. The location was as described, close to a very nice beach and also to bus and taxi stands for travelling further.

The owner provided all the information required and the caretaker staff were extremely friendly and accomodating, assisting with local knowledge and taxi bookings and cleaning the apartment regularly.

Definately recommended to stay here.

My brilliant holiday

Thank you for our wonderful holiday in Mauritius.

The apartments were beautiful and we felt very welcomed and at home with the staff.

The room was nicely furnished, and the pool was lovely, unfortunatly the weather was a bit on the cool side for a few days to enjoy the full benefits of the upstairs terrace.

Our kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed many meals on our balcony watching the sunset (and many a drink!!).

Will come back next year with the family.

2 week stay at the Beau Sejour

Disappointed with this apartment doesn't even come close to how we felt. When we arrived it hadn't been cleaned properly and on asking them to reclean the bathroom, we were left with the same filthy sink, the toilet was indescribable, and the hob and microwave were filthy. We had to buy our own cleaning products and clean it ourselves in the end as we realised their idea of cleanliness was very different from our own. For the first week the pool didn't work, and there was builders rubbish left on the patio with piles of patio tiles just sitting there looking a mess. As we had specifically chosen a property with a pool this was also very disappointing. We also had nowhere to sit outside allocated to our appartment, and it was only after the first week that we realised the balconies were communal and anyone could have used them. This would have been helpful information along with maybe a file of where the medical centre was in case of emergency, nearerst bank, recommended restaurants anything to have helped us in our first week as due to the busy season everywhere was closed to non residents, so we couldn't even go to a hotel bar and buy a drink. This is called a self catering apartment, but if they think you can cook with no chopping board, no cork screw, no tin opener, no colander, one mug, one bowl and two saucepans, then their idea of self catering is very different from ours. This apartment was completely ill equipped. We also had to change our own sheets as after 10 days they still hadn't been replaced, our neighbours had there's changed a couple of days before they left!!! I would also be extremely careful if you decide to use their recommended taxi service. They suggested we hire a car from him. A white ford fiesta arrived with a flame down the side, I kid you not!! We were told the air con worked. It didn't! So we asked them to take it back, another car was promised by 5pm by 6.15pm it still hadn't arrived so we wasted an entire day waiting for him to sort it out. When we did get it the windscreen wipers were so old that we couldn't see out and in Mauritius with the amount of rain, this was extremely dangerous. The final straw was when we booked him to take us back to the airport, he tried to charge us 500 rupees more than we paid for our pick up. It wasn't a good experience, I would never recommend it to anybody, but don't discount the area as Troux Aux Biches has the best beach on the island, with the best snorkelling!

Owner's Response: The management at Beau – Sejour 4 Seasons are always anxious to ensure our guests have an enjoyable stay. In the two years we have been open, we have received an abundance of positive feedback from our many happy clients. We were extremely upset and disappointed to find that one of our guests did not enjoy their stay at our luxurious apartments. Having fully investigated the issues raised, in the review of Ant14 of Reigate, Surrey, lessons have been learnt and procedures have been put in place to ensure that such a disappointment is not felt again:

In our defence we must point out that some issues raised in this review are beyond our control.

Eg; the fridge in the apartment was fully stocked with complimentary food and drink. If shopkeepers in Mauritius close for New Years Day it is not something we can prevent.

We cannot control who the hotels and bars will and will not allow entry for whatever reason.

This guest arrived early when the apartment was in the process of being cleaned. She prevented the completion of this by staff by indicating that she did not want to be disturbed. Our staff could not complete their duties such as changing bed linen as the bedroom door was continually locked denying the maid access. A set of bed linen was damaged during this time through the use of Henna and as a result was thrown out. No charge was made for this.

The apartment had just been vacated and a check had been made of the equipment. We do not understand therefore the comment re the lack of cooking utensils and crockery.

Beau Sejour does not provide private car hire. If this guest chose to hire a vehicle it is a matter for her and the hire company. The taxi service we recommend has been found to be satisfactory by many of our guests and is based on punctuality, good value for money and service. The vehicles used by the taxi service are comparable to that of the standard vehicles for Mauritius.

The staff did their best to meet the needs of this guest by providing alternative balcony facilities and allowing her free internet use to allow her to check on her business dealings.

Our goal is to ensure that our guests find their stay at BeauSejour4 Season to be a happy and memorable one. Unfortunately, the management was given no opportunity to discuss these issues before Ant14 submitted her review.

Nous avons été agréablement surpris par Beau séjour 4 saisons. L'appartement est propre, très bien équipé, spacieux et surtout bien situé. Il est à deux pas de la plage, proche du supermarché et des restaurants et se situe dans une rue très calme. Mon garçon a adoré la nouvelle piscine. Le WiFi fonctionne bien et tous les équipements de l'appartement sont en très bon état. Baba et Nirmala (les responsables) sont vraiment adorables. Ils sont toujours aux petits soins et ils nous ont même préparé à manger lors de notre arrivée car nous sommes arrivés tard. Bref, nous avons passé des vacances inoubliables et nous recommandons cet appartement à tous ceux qui cherchent des vacances reposantes dans cadre convivial.

idéal pour vacances reposantes à Trou aux Biches

L’immeuble Beau Séjour 4 Saisons de Trou aux Biche est vaste, récent et de style Néo-Coloniale. Il
dispose de grands balcons ombragés ainsi que d’une terrasse sur son toit, où se trouve une
piscine. Cette terrasse offre un point de vue magnifique de 360 ° sur la région (Chaînes de
montagnes volcaniques et côte maritime). Les appartements sont grands, très confortables avec une
décoration soignée et sont très bien équipés (cuisine, sanitaires etc). Celui que nous occupions
du 22 octobre au 12 novembre 2012 comportait deux grandes chambres, une salle de bain et des
toilettes séparées, ainsi qu’une salle à manger/cuisine. Cette dernière est équipée d'un
réfrigérateur+congélateur, de plaques de cuisson, d'un four, d'une cafetière, d'une batterie de
cuisine et d'un service de table complet (vaisselle et couverts). Un lave linge est disponible.
L’ensemble (chambres, literie, sanitaires etc) est de qualité, propre et bien entretenu. La
télévision est équipée d'un décodeur numérique qui permet de capter parfaitement les chaines
locales et des chaines internationales anglophones et francophones. Le WIFI est disponible et
fonctionne très bien. Beau Séjour 4 Saisons occupe une position idéale dans la station de Trou aux
Biches, car il est situé dans un quartier calme, qui est placé en retrait de la rue principale
(100 mètres environ) qui longe la côte, mais la plage, le petit supermarché local, les arrêts
d’autobus pour Grand-Baie, Montchoisy, Pamplemousse, Triolet, Port Louis, ainsi que les
restaurants typiques (de qualité mais très abordables) sont accessibles à pied en moins de 5
minutes. L’immeuble est sécurisé (surveillance vidéo, fenêtres et portes protégés) et un concierge
assure l’entretien et le gardiennage 24H sur 24. Une femme de ménage nettoie régulièrement les
appartements. Le concierge et son épouse sont d’une extrême gentillesse, plein d’intentions à
votre égard, mais discrets, et font l’impossible pour vous assurer le meilleur des séjours.
C’était notre second séjour dans cette résidence et nous comptons y retourner. Nous la
recommandons pour passer des vacances très reposantes et anti-stress à Trou aux Biches, qui offre
une des plus belles plages de sable fin de l’Ile Maurice et qui est proche de la station très
animée de Grand Baie.

The area also offers a varied night-life, where one can sample the traditional Creole cuisine in the many local restaurants and bars. However, all tastes are catered for in the many European, Asian and Oriental style restaurants throughout the island.
