Chalet-style apartment with beautiful views. Close to the pistes & town centr

Our apartment is a cosy, comfortable and south-facing with a chalet-style interior, large south-facing terrace and uninterrupted mountain views. It has a very convenient central location in the main part of Meribel, just above the center of the resort. All the resort facilities are close and can be reached easily on foot. With 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and a very comfortable lounge, the apartment is perfect for a family or a group of friends sharing. Although a car is not necessary to enjoy the resort, there is a car park and also a ski locker. Enjoy the welcoming atmosphere of a real home-from-home; well-equipped and very comfortable at the end aof a day in the mountains.

What's to enjoy.........: If you lead a very busy life, love skiing or mountain activities in general, enjoy a good night out but might also want to find a cosy spot to curl up in, relax and maybe even spend time looking at the view - our apartment is the right choice. My perfect spot is on the settee, with a cup of coffee, magazine unread on my knees whilst I gaze out of the window at the mountain view opposite. And when I go to bed, I make sure the curtains are open so that I can see the same view as soon as I wake up in the morning. Sound appealing?

The Summer: Meribel in summer is a fabulous activity destination. As well as a lively village with a great swimming pool and water slide, the summer mountain activities are right on the doorstep - mountain biking, paragliding, hiking - as well as a great children's club. For golfers, there is a fantastic 18 hole course and driving range. Mountain bike lovers will be spoilt. You can use the ski lifts to go uphill and have lots of energy left for the 263kms of VTT paths in this area.

The apartment is good choice for younger children. As well as being all on one level, the south-facing terrace is completely enclosed. For older kids who want a bit of freedom - they can walk safely to the shops in the centre of the village and even down to the swimming pool without having to cross any major roads. The free navette bus stops for travelling further afield are also close by.

Golf Details: Golf in Meribel is best described as awesome. The 18 hole, par 70, 5,370m course set on the mountain side is open from May to September. The surroundings are beautiful and the views spectacular. The walk around also prevents a reasonable challenge to the fittest golfer although buggies are available for hire. The course is about 7 minutes drive from the apartment. Also within one hour's drive are the golf courses at Couchevel 1850, and Lake Annecy. Both are also beautiful courses.

Again it was a wonderful week in Meribel ......... The reservation for next year, that will be the 8th time that we will stay in your apartment ... but the Trois Vallees is the best place to be for skiing, according to us and your apartment is lovely

Very helpful owners who answered our many questions with accurate information. Spacious with 2 bathrooms that is a real plus. Comfortable, clean and in excellent condition even at the end of season. Lots of extras such as books and games that made it home from home. Great south facing balcony that was a suntrap. Excellent location with short walk to slopes, centre and supermarket.

A really great apartment in the heart of Meribel.

We had a delightful stay in this well located apartment. It is a stone's throw from direct access to the slopes and all the day to day amenities of Meribel. It certainly exceeded our expectations....spacious, clean and very cosy. The booking arrangements were excellent with Vari the owner always responding immediately to any questions and providing very detailed info on the facilities. Thoroughly recommended, one of the best we have found in the French Alps.

Fabulous apartment and holiday

The positive reviews did not lie, this is a lovely apartment. Vari was great in coming back to me quickly from booking through to receiving our deposit back and was great with local advice and helping chose which of her apartments were suitable for a one year old, which this was! The apartment is literally a minute from the first shops and restaurants and we were at the bottom of the Chaudanne lifts from the front door (with skis etc which we picked up from the locker room) in just under 20 mins. There was no noise coming from the town so we were not disturbed through the night. The hill is steep although the paths and roads are well cleared and gritted and my mother of 63 was able to push the buggy up and down. We actually hired ski lockers by the Chaudanne for 46 Euros to save lugging the equipment but you can get a free bus easily enough and there is plenty of room for ski equipment at the apartment itself. We were able to store our buggy (which is quite bulky even when folded) in the locker without problems. I think you would struggle to get much more central. The apartment itself has two bedrooms - my husband and I had the one at the back of the apartment with a travel cot (and still room to swing a proverbial cat) which was great as there were several doors we could close to keep the room quiet for the babe when it was her bedtime! The other room has bunk beds and a pull out bed which my parents used and there was still room to hold their suitcases etc! There is also the benefits of two bathrooms! There is plenty of storage throughout the apartment, a huge balcony and it was lovely and warm inside. I would definitely recommend this to anyone and especially anyone with a small person attached. One thing to note - the stairs to the apartment are quite steep from the side walk but there is a driveway slightly further up the hill which takes you to the ski lockers which was ideal for pushing the buggy if you were solo. As a side, if you are looking for a decent transfer company, we used three valley transfers who were all English speaking, very professional and polite and were able to supply all ages of car seats which meant one less thing to bring! The free buses around the village and the heated ski lockers at the main lifts are great. No need to clunk around in heavy boots carrying your equipment! Fantastic Apartment! Great holiday!

My party of 5 arrived in Meribel self drive on the Saturday morning and found the property easily with the fantastic joining instructions that Vari had sent us. We were able to use the ski and luggage lockers to store everything before the accommodation was ready which was great.

The apartment was clean and cosy with an amazing view. We were able to make ourselves at home easily before heading into town which is very near by. This is great news for getting to the slopes in the morning and getting home from apres in the evening!

Overall a fantastic place and we would all happily stay again!

An excellent apartment

The apartment is an excellent little find. A short walk down the hill gets you to the centre. Maybe 2 minutes in day-to-day shoes; about 5 minutes in boots with skis and poles. From there you can ski down to the Chaudanne to get the gondolas to whisk you away. The local Spar is even closer, which is great for the self-caterers.

The apartment is well-equipped with plenty of kitchen stuff: pots, pans, plates, mugs and glasses. Enough to have half of it sitting in the dishwasher, which was a bonus in itself.

The bedrooms are also fine, with plenty of space for moving around and for clothes. Besides, there are enough cupboards throughout to accommodate even a very heavy packer.

The bathrooms are great too. Notably, both showers had excellent water pressure.

The communal area is spacious enough, with a good table and a good selection of board games. The sofa is exceedingly comfortable, and there would have been a great view, but for the huge amount of snow on the balcony!

Vari is very informative and helpful, and makes the process very easy. On the whole, a highly recommendable apartment!

The apartment is situated centrally in the main resort of Meribel, minutes from the Tourist Office. In winter the ski piste by the Tourist Office leads straight to the main ski lifts at the Chaudanne - less than a minute by ski or board. It is also conveniently located for the resorts many bars and restaurants, many of which are located between the apartment and nearest point where you join the pistes! For self-catering, the nearest supermarket is 2 minutes walk.

Ski: Fantastic skiing in winter and superb activity summer holidays. Resort facilities in winter: Meribel is situated at 1,600 metres in the middle of the world famous 3 Valleys skiing area on the edge of the Vanoise National Park. . There are over 600 kilometres of pistes serviced by around 200 lifts. Skiing rises to over 3300 metres. For après ski there are many pubs, clubs and restaurants, a swimming pool, skating rink and a bowling alley. There are a number of ski schools and crêches available for children from around 6 month upward.
