About Tobias or Marco
Tobias on the left is American and Marco on the right is German. We met in the UK while working there and wanted to start a business for ourselves. We now have three dogs: Buttons, Ustinov and Frionne (Frionne, our Dobermann, was the latest arrival and not in the picture).
Tobias or Marco purchased this cottage in 2005
Why Tobias or Marco chose Mont St Jean
We acquired the property in 2005 for the purpose of establishing and running a B&B, self-catering accommodations and restaurant business. We did not necessarily search for a property in Burgundy but fell in love with the building during our property search throughout France. We renovated the main building in 2005 and we completely renovated the Gardener's Cottage in 2007.
What makes this cottage unique
The property is quite unique and this style of architecture is normally found in Biarritz and Normandy (late 1800s / early 1900s). Once you walk into the house, you feel at home and we love the ornate dining room and all the original features of the house.
