On holiday park site but about 500 metres from main building

The villa is located in Penstowe Holiday village in Kilkhampton. It has been awarded 3 stars by the Visit Britain Quality Assurance Scheme.

It is a short drive to the safe, sandy, surfing beaches and the North Cornwall coastal path. The Tamar Lakes, fishing, watersports, riding, golf; sports activities; theme parks are all in the locality.

Restaurant, bars, outdoor swimming pool and recreation facilities on site.

You can also join the Penstowe Leisure Club for the duration of your stay (additional charge) which will enable you to use the indoor swimming pool, squash, tennis and badminton courts and all their other facilities.

Kilkhampton is an ideal centre for visiting many visitor attraction in both North Cornwall and Devon.

The villa is brick built, semi-detached and completely self–contained. Heating is by electric heaters (payment by card meter). It has its own patio, with picnic bench, within a walled and grassed area. It is situated about 500 yards (460 metres) from the main facilities based at the Manor House and there are car parking spaces immediately opposite.

Kilkhampton with its places of worship, including the historic church of St. James, village pubs (2), fish and chip shop, pizza/internet cafe,Spar and Londis stores (both of which stock fresh locally baked bread), post office and butcher, is about half a mile away. There is a Chinese takeaway on the vilage outskirts. Killock Farm providing local produce is just outside the village. The nearest R C Church is in Bude.

It is about two miles to the nearest safe surfing and swimming beach at Sandymouth Bay. Bude is only a fifteen minute drive. (Bude 6 miles; (Summerleaze and Crooklets beaches) Widemouth 7 miles - distances approximate.) All beaches have lifeguard cover in the holiday season

There are four 18 hole golf courses nearby (Bude & North Cornwall. Holsworthy, Launceston and Trethorne) and Ivyleaf 9 hole course and covered driving range is within a five minute drive.

Although this is a beautiful part of the country public transport is not very good. Car essential.

We had a wonderful stay in Villanostra

This Villa is one of the cleanest holiday accommodations we have stayed in. We took my parents, both elderly, and it suited their purposes exactly. The Villa is a good size, with a very well equipped kitchen, and nice eating area for the four of us. Easy parking opposite the chalet. Lovely little garden and bench to enjoy the sunshine. The area around the villa is very quiet, but a short walk will take you to the impressive clubhouse, pub and facilities, all worth visiting for an evening drink. I would definitely recommend this to friends. The only slight minus point was the evenings were a bit chilly for my parents and to have the heaters on was an extra expense, but they were effective. Bude and the surrounding area is beautiful, lots of places to see and we would definitely come back.

Lovely place to stay in Cornwall

We stayed at the property the first week of June and had a wonderful time. The villa is very nice - it's cosy, clean and well equipped. We would recommend staying for a week or longer. You can easily park outside the Villa and Penstowe manor house has lots to do for families. It's a great base to explore the wonderful beaches nearby and Bude is still a lovely place to visit. We were very impressed and the owner is very helpful. We would recommend this to families or couples looking for a lovely relaxing break.

The property was clean and comfortable and everything we needed was there. We didn't use the facilities on site as we used the bungalow as a base for touring Cornwall.

If we revisited the area we would certainly use this bungalow again.

Villanostra is a very clean and comfortable place to stay. The site is quiet and very well kept with good parking right outside the villa. Our little boy really enjoyed the night time activities in the Manor's bar and the pool was a nice facility for those rainy days! We had such a fantastic time going out to many different places we have booked to go back this year. The beaches at Bude and Widemouth are gorgeous and there are some lovely little villages to visit. The Big Sheep attraction was brilliant for younger kids and adults!! Would definately reccommend this to others looking to enjoy Cornwall in a self catering villa. Lea is so friendly and helpful which we found very reassuring when booking for the first time.

Our family of two adults and two children really enjoyed our stay in Lea's villa. It has all the facilities you need for a family holiday with a fully equipped kitchen, large bathroom, plenty of storage areas for bags and beach gear and an enclosed garden. We liked the idea of proving the board games and DVD's. Everything was very clean and well kept. Parking is really handy being just across the road from the villa with all level access and lighting. The facilities in the Penstowe leisure centre are great for the wet days and the staff are really friendly but we would say dont expect to be able to buy your groceries in the small shop in the Stable Bar area, it was full of toys and sweets. The nearby village of Kilkhampton is within walking distance and has two friendly pubs and two shops where we found a wide variety of groceries etc. The larger town of Bude is within a 15 min drive away and has a good selection of supermarkets, tourist shops and a varied choice of places to eat and activities. We would reccommend stopping off at the Killock Farm shop just outside of Kilkhampton, they bake and sell the most delicious pasties (amongst other goodies) and no trip to cornwall is complete without eating a pasty! We found Lea very helpful when we were booking our stay and would definately be our first call when we visit cornwall again. There are many places of interest to visit and really lovely beaches all within close proximity, definately something for everyone and all interests.
