LOCATED AGAINST MEDIEVAL WALLS WITH ROOF TERRACE & CASTLE VIEWS

Photos and Description of this 2 bedroom holiday cottage in Conwy Town - Castle View Cottage

Character cottage sleeping 4 a short stroll from the picturesque harbour

SHORT BREAKS WELCOME! This charming recently renovated 19th century stone cottage is nestled within the highly sought-after medieval walls of Conwy. Unique and beautiful views of the Castle, Conwy Estuary and mountains beyond from a private spacious, sunny, roof terrace. An ideal all-year holiday base for exploring the mountains and beaches of North Wales. Located in a side street against the 13th century town walls with no passing traffic, Castleview Cottage is ideally positioned and an easy stroll to all amenities and attractions of Conwy. Castleview is just a few minutes away from stunning countryside and lovely beaches. This stone built Fisherman's Cottage has been furnished and equipped to a high standard with modern fixtures and fittings whilst retaining charm and character. The spacious lounge/diner features a cosy open fire and the light and airy breakfast kitchen features wall to wall windows to make the most of the outlook over the 800 year old castle tower and Medieval town walls. Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms (double and adult bunk bedroom) and luxury shower room with walk-in shower, basin and wc

The spacious roof terrace is a sun trap during the summer months and perfect to enjoy breakfast alfresco or a relaxing drink during the evening enjoying the sunset. Outside, the cottage has access to a private decked sitting area set within an 800 year old tower.

We are well equipped for families, with travel cot, stairgate, high chair and toys. We have a small library of DVDs, games, puzzels, books and local walking guides. There is also a flat screen TV, DVD player, CD player, Roberts Radio and BOSE soundock system.

Everything is made up ready with quality 200 count cotton bed linen and complimentary essentials for a self-catered holiday.

All the town's facilities are within a two minute walk of the cottage including interesting shops, tearooms, restaurants, the old harbour and historic buildings.

The ancient coastal town of Conwy, on the edge the Snowdonia National Park, is an ideal base to explore the region's beaches, mountains and other attractions. A huge range of outdoor pursuits are available, including walking, mountain biking, climbing, bird-watching, and sailing. Wide sandy beaches and the marina are within walking distance, and some of the best coastal and mountain walks in the Country start from the doorstep!

Nearby, free tennis courts, playing fields, nature trails, bowling green and cricket ground.

About Mrs. Jackie Bamber

Croeso and welcome to Castleview Cottage!

Why Mrs. Jackie Bamber chose Conwy Town

We spent a long time looking for the perfect fisherman's cottage in Conwy within the town walls but without passing traffic . It also had to have the 'wow' factor. As soon as we got a glimpse of the view from the kitchen we were sold! The view from the roof terrace is even better! We maximised that unique view with the installation of full length windows in the kitchen (knocking through 2 foot solid stone walls). The house was completely renovated whilst trying to keep the character of the 200 year old cottage. We believe Conwy is the perfect base to enjoy everything on offer in North Wales - unbeatable coastal and mountain walks, plenty of attractions within a short walk or drive, beautiful beaches and Snowdonia National Park on our doorstep.

What makes this cottage unique

Unbelievable views!

Location! Castleview is within the Medieval walls of Conwy - the harbour and local attractions are just a short stroll away.

Real fire - a must for cosy nights in!

Guestbook comments from the owner

Jackie...I am sorry that we did not include a note in the book, as our stay was absolutely the best (well except for the weather on several days!). But the apartment is perfect and it could not have been better in any respect. Conwy is well located for forays into all areas of North Wales, and the apartment was perfectly equipped for our needs. The location within this splendid small town, the castle in the distance, one of the best "wall walks" in Europe.... What more could a person want? Thanks so much for contributing to our happy week in Wales!

Delightful Cottage

  • 5 out of 5
The cottage was lovely, well equipped and just as described. It was clean and well looked after. Communication with the owner when booking was good and her communication was excellent. We fell in love with Conwy and the surrounding area - there was so much to do. We loved walking Conwy town walls, visiting the castle, suspension bridge and Plas Mawr. We also enjoyed a trip into Snowdonia, visiting aqueducts in the Llangollen/Chirk area, and a trip to Anglesey as well as visiting the Great Orme via cable car. Due to having a dog and two children we didn't eat out much but cooked in the cottage it treated ourselves to local fish and chips.

Perfect place to explore medieval northern Wales

  • 5 out of 5
Cottage was as described. Great location, very clean, amazing view of castle and walls. Just steps from city wall.
Things to consider - there is no internet - we used the library just down the street which worked well. We were even able to check out a book and some movies by showing them confirmation of our rental. We never quite got the knack of regulating the heat. Only one key. Narrow stairway to second floor. We had no car so we purchased a weekly bus pass on the bus. Check out the guest book for an amazing pen drawing of the fireplace.

Fantastic cottage in perfect location

  • 5 out of 5
Highly recommend this cottage. Lovely decor, well maintained and spotlessly clean. Comfy beds, open fire and proximity to excellent pubs and restaurants make this the perfect spot for a relaxing break. Nice welcome touches too, with tea, coffee and biscuits waiting for us :-))

A great place to stay

  • 5 out of 5
We've just got back from a week at Castleview cottage and could easily have stayed another, it's a lovely little cottage with a home from home feeling to it in every room, the view from the roof terrace is amazing & especially at night with the castle all lit up. There's lots to do in and around Conwy with visits to the castle, plas mawr house, aberconwy house and lovely walk to Conwy marine where there's a beach, an hour's drive away is Black rock sands (Porthmadog) where you can drive onto the sands (take a packed lunch or bbq as you can stay on the beach till 8pm). Back in Conwy theres lots of lovely coffee shops and a trip to the Albion pub just round the corner is a must visit, with a week of sunshine this topped off a fantastic week away and would love to come back again, Castleview cottage is a little gem within the walls of a Conwy.

Super Lage, gute Ausstattung, da würde ich wiedern

  • 5 out of 5
