This substantial detached property offers those of us who are looking for something very special the perfect accommodation in terms of size standards and of course location. Dalcraig House has breathtaking views over Loch Leven and to the Mamore Hills beyond. In terms of comfort and location this house is really unparralled in this area as its the only 5 Star Loch side property in Glencoe. Dalcraig offers all the comforts of the highest standard of a self catering property in Glencoe and lots more. This property is furnished to a very high standard throughout, has Sky Tv and a 60' plasma Tv for those who enjoy a little ! Tv in the evening. Dalcraig House is the only 5 Star ( LOCHSIDE) property in Glencoe!

Within Dalcraig you will find lots of extras not normally seen in self catering properties, it really is a home from home property. With two bed rooms, one twin and one double , both en-suite all on the second floor, a large Sitting room a separate dining room and a beautiful fully fitted Kitchen equipped to the highest of standards all on the ground floor, you will appreciate from the minute the door is opened to this property that quality is of the utmost importance, ensuring our holiday makers have quality accommodation and a truly memorable stay in the Highlands.

Accommodation Details: The Ground Floor of this property offers a Large Sitting Room with breathtaking loch views , the sitting room is furnished to an extremely high standard, with wool carpeting throughout and large Leather sofas and beautiful lighting, the sitting room also has a large feature Marble fireplace. The Sitting Room has as standard a large 60' plasma colour T.V , video and mini-hifi, satellite Tv.

Kitchen Area: The Kitchen is full fitted out with oak units and is complimented with underlighting and spotlighting on the ceiling. In terms of equipment all crockery and kitchen utensils are provided and are of a very high quality. The Kitchen has an electric range cooker, three ovens and is fully fitted out with; micro-wave and combi oven,fridge, freezer, washerdrier , dishwasher, etc we even have a food processor installed for your convenience!

Dining Room: From the moment you arrive a very warm welcome awaits you. The dining area can accommodate five persons in comfort and it is completely separate from the sitting room.

Bedrooms: Excellent views over Loch Leven and to the hills beyond can be seen from the master bedroom and beautiful hill views can bee seen from the twin room. All bed linen and limited towels will be provided for your stay with us at Dalcraig House. Both bed rooms are furnished to a 5 Star STB /high standard and both are en-suite.

Beautiful, clean, warm and homely.

Our 6th visit, never disappointed. Every year Tony and Mairi have added special additional touches - always look forward to spotting what's new! We really can't recommend Dalcraig enough, it's as it is in the pictures. .... and more. Already looking forward to next year - worth the 12 hours of travelling!

Fabulous 5 Star Property

What a stunning 5 Star property. We had a lovely winter break in the superb Dalcraig House. This property is a credit to Mairi & Tony. It is decorated to a high standard and was lovely and warm on the cold Scottish days/nights. Views down the Loch when not watching the 60" TV (or playing the Xbox:-) are stunning. Can't say enough about this lovely home that hasn't already been said. If you are reading this review....look no further....book it !

Stunning holiday property

We have stayed at Dalcraig House on several occasions now and always feel like we are " coming home". We have tried other properties in the area, but nothing beats the quality and comfort of Dalcraig.
The house is fitted out to an exceptional high standard and is always spotless. Nothing is ever too much trouble for Tony, the owner.
The house is in a good location for getting out and visiting the area, but also has some good walks in very close proximity.

A Fabulous Holiday Home!

This is a special house in a stunning location. Everything about it exudes quality, - from the top of the range appliances in the superbly equipped kitchen, to the expensive lamps & pictures in the beautifully decorated lounge. The huge TV is fabulous & Wifi is a bonus!
Upstairs, the bedrooms are also tastefully furnished with light & airy en-suite bathrooms. The double room has lovely views of Loch Leven & the mountains - perfect!
The pretty garden also has fantastic views & you can wander down to the water’s edge & catch some spectacular sunsets towards Ballachulish bridge.
Most importantly, the house is immaculate. The owners go to a lot of trouble to ensure that everything is spotless for their guests & take pride in maintaining the house to a very high standard. Tony & Mairi are a lovely couple & welcome you more as friends on arrival. Nothing is too much trouble if you need anything during your stay.
The house is in a really good location with Glencoe village just a couple of minutes away. There is plenty to do locally & further afield & the scenery in this area is second to none, especially if you enjoy walking.
This was our third stay,- once in Kinloch Lodge next door which is equally superb -& twice in Dalcraig House. We enjoyed the holiday so much we have already booked for next year. Can’t get a better recommendation than that!

Perfect

After spending many holidays in Tony and Mairi's properties, my mum and I look upon the experience as visiting friends rather than renting a cottage for a couple of weeks and forgetting the holiday as soon as you get home. It's the first time we have rented Dalcraig, but we already knew that the place would be spectacular.
Firstly, the house is spotless. I know this word is used all the time, but I defy anyone to find a speck of dust, a smear, a smudge, anything. Secondly, the decor is tasteful, rich and solid. It's clear that Tony and Mairi take great care choosing colour schemes, furniture, furnishings and decorations to make the house as comfortable as possible. The house feels like home as soon as you walk through the door, because every home comfort has been thought about and provided: walls are adorned with expensive prints, paintings, mirrors and photographs; reception rooms are comfortable and lit with as many or as few lamps and lights as you need; carpets and rugs are thick; beds are soft and covered in expensive bedding and cushions, which complement the colour scheme perfectly; the kitchen attends to every need, providing up-to-the-minute appliances and tasteful dinner services and cutlery.
Spending time in this house lets you pretend for a week or two that this is your own home.
On top of all that, the garden offers spectacular views with a seating area and an ornamental pond with water lillies and grasses. Colourful flowering shrubs and hedges are carefully tended to, as is the neat lawn. Additionally, there's a separate garden that leads directly to the loch, great for evening walks and gazing at the wonderful scenery.
Tony and Mairi are the perfect hosts, greeting you as you arrive as if you were family visiting rather than customers. They're discreet, but always on hand in case you need them - nothing is too much trouble.
All in all, staying here is simply wonderful.

DALCRAIG HOUSE

Just arrived home from a weeks holiday at Dalcraig House and missing it already. The property is worthy of a 6 star rating and in immaculate condition. Tony and Mairi are prefect hosts and nothing is too much trouble for them, also the fact that they stay close by and have a good knowledge of the local area is useful.
We dined at the Hollytree Hotel restaurant and the food is first class, even my husband said that it was the best sea bass he had tasted and he loves his seafood. All in all, a wonderful week at Dalcraig and will be recommending to friend and family. Tony and Mairi, you should be proud to have such a beautiful property and thank you for sharing it with us.

Glencoe ! need we say more, one of the most historic places in Scotland steeped in history, a beautiful location with every facility required for you to enjoy your stay , Glencoe has Horse riding, sking, Munro bagging , white water rafting, boats trips, walking, sailing and quad biking, they are few activities amoungst a massive amount of things to do in the Outdoor capital of the UK. Sking , Golfing or just touring around this beautiful rugged glen whilst enjoying fabulous resturants come and visit us here at Glencoe for a fabulous luxury stay as this beautiful 5 Star loch side holiday house, the only 5 Star lochside in Glencoe.

Golf: The area has some beautiful golf courses. There is a spectacular 9 Hole golf course, with views right across the Lochs less than 2 miles away at Ballachulish. There are also 18 hold golf courses at Fort William and Oban.

Ski: The area has excellent skiing in winter. The Glencoe Ski Centre is just 12 miles away, while the town of Fort William, Britain’s highest mountain ‘Ben Nevis’ and the Nevis Ski Centre (dry slope in summer) are just 14 miles to the north. Ski and Snowboard equipment is available to hire at both of these centres. Lessons are also available at both Ski centers!

Please note use of the open gas Gasgo fire is restricted to winter periods however in summer there is an Opti myst dimplex fire which is lovely this property is exceptionally warm and fully central heated. In winter there is an addional £65 charge for use of the gas fire as we run off bottles. No charges for use of the Opti myst fire :) Dalcraig House is a 5 Star STB property and is run week on week to a first class standard, we try to ensure that every guest who comes to stay at Dalcraig House enjoys the same 1st class standard therefore we respectively request that only guests who come to stay leave Dalcraig in an immaculate standard, this helps us to ensure if you book this property that you wont be disappointed! please be aware we take a £100 cash refundable good will cleaning and damage deposit at the beginning of your stay, this deposit is retured on your departure day if terms and conditions are adhered to, to date we have never deducted any amount from a cash deposit held.
