2 Bedroom holiday log cabin, sleeps 4 in tranquil lakeside setting

South Lakeland Leisure Village nestles amongst the rolling green countryside of the borders of the Southern Lake District and Yorkshire Dales. Just 5 minutes away from Junction 35 of the M6 it is ideally located for easy access.

This 2 bedroom lodge with countryside and overlooking the private lake is sure to provide you with a luxurious countryside retreat. with every creature comfort catered for this fully equipped two bedroom lodge with double glazing, central heating , The lodge has recently been updated,and there are lots of extras to make your stay extra special. Both bedrooms have LCD with DVD.

The bathroom and washroom have been refurbished also all curtains rugs soft furnishing bedrooms are now updated May 2011 All new beds September 2011.New fridge freezer work tops and sink 2012. May 2013 New sofa and armchairs new dining table and chairs Bedrooms new curtain throws and cushions .

Bathrooms new bathmats and towels.

With 1 double bedroom and 1 twin bedroom. The accommodation is spacious suitable for couples wishing to escape for a break or for families wanting to spend some quality time together. Splendidly appointed large lounge with lake views, feature fireplace, LCD TV DVD and 2 patio doors leading on to private balcony,with table and chairs Separate dining area with modern dining suite lake views. Fully fitted kitchen with light oak units, oven, hob, extractor Fan, Dishwasher, Microwave and full size fridge freezer. Complete with dishes, crockery and tea towels.

Large hallway with outdoor coat hanging. Hallway leads to modern full size family bathroom with bath and over head shower with shower screen, WC and wash hand basin. Also wash room with toilet and washbasin. Spacious master bedroom with double bed and double wardrobes, dressing table and over head storage space. Twin bedroom with double wardrobe and dressing table and chest of drawers.

The Leisure Village boasts a large private lake suitable for fly-fishing, Kayaking, Windsurfing or sailing (using your own craft) There is a brand new Private Health and Leisure Club with Indoor Pool, Steam Room and 2 Gymnasiums. There is a charge for this to Pure Leisure. A beauty suite offers numerous treatments for those wishing to be pampered during their stay. On site facilities include the Waters Edge Restaurant which offers a mixture of Mediterranean Style Cuisine and some classic English dishes. For the comfort of all our guests 22 Lakeside is a no smoking and no pet lodge. We kindly ask guests that do smoke to to do so on the balcony using the ashtrays provided.. If you have a dog I can put you in touch with a owner who has a lovely 2 bedroom dog friendly lodge.

Beautiful lodge.Perfect location.

We arrived at the lodge with no problems finding it as Val had given us perfect directions.When we entered the lodge we were immediately impressed.The decor was very modern and fresh and the lodge was impeccably clean and well furnished.
We had all the facilities we needed to make this like home and the only downside was that we didn't have enough days to spend here.We definitely will return as we think we would be very hard pushed to match this.
The lodge is in a great position overlooking the lake and it's great to have the ducks waddling by every now and again.
Perfect chill out break we just wish that we could have stayed longer

The best holiday home we have stayed in as a family!
The cabin was wonderfully presented, exceptionally clean and tidy with everything that you need to have a wonderful stay. A real home from home! It was exactly as described in the description on the website.
We had very good, quick customer service from Val and I would definately recommend this holiday to family and friends who need a very good base for exploring the Lake District on a well run site.
We had a very high quality meal at the restaurant with impeccable service. You will also enjoy the lake side setting and amazing tame ducks!
We would definately consider returning!

We holidayed in this lovely lodge with our two young children aged 4 years and 21 months and couldn't recommend it highly enough.

Fabulous Lodge, great site and brilliant location.

The Lodge was spotlessly clean with fresh bedding and spare hand towels. We had eveything we could have possibly needed including a dishwasher and power shower. The owner was also able to provide a travel cot and high chair - especially usefull as it saved a great deal of space in the car.

The site itself is very well maintained and very quiet and peaceful. The ducks were an added bonus for the kids as was the small beach at one end of the lake.

The location is excellent being near to the motorway and main road and rail links. There is so much to do locally that we plan to return very soon to continue exploring. One week certainly wasn't enough time.

I am notoriously difficult to please but I genuinely couldn't find fault with anything.

Can't wait to come back!

Fantastic holiday home

This property was exactly as described. The facilities in the cabin were absolutely fantastic - you could actually live in it and not be short of anything. The layout of the site and the facitlites were also really good - we had a lovely meal in the restaurant one evening and it was not over-priced. The property was very clean and the bedding was lovely and fresh and to a very high standard. The owner gave us very good instructions on how to get there and where to pick up the keys and we didn't have any problems at all. The area is lovely, it being only a 20 mile drive into the lake district. We had a fantastic day out on the steam train and boats - it was the first time we had visited the lake district and it certainly won't be the last!
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Sightseeing, Romantic Getaway
