Luxurious city living in this 2 bedroom contemporary holiday apartment in a converted Grade II listed Georgian Townhouse, minutes away from all the attractions within the City Centre, with on site parking for one car. Midweek and weekend breaks welcome, minimum stay 2 nights. One night stays accepted late availability, always worth asking.

The benefits of a boutique hotel with the added advantage of your own independence with self catering facilities, or if you prefer to eat out, York's full range of restaurants within a 5 minute walk, or if you don't want to stagger too far, a Thai, an Italian, 2 Indians, a bistro pub & an excellent cafe for brunch, or post shopping pick me up, within a 2 minute walk.

The luxury self catering holiday apartment is furnished to an extremely high standard, with full kitchen facilities, should you choose to eat in.

York is the perfect destination for a UK holiday with the family, friends, or for a romantic break.

Lots of fun things for the children to do, shopping for the adults, and in the evenings - restaurants to cater for every choice, all within a short walk. An enjoyable break guaranteed whatever the weather. Perfect for a getaway with your partner, or to keep the kids entertained during the school holidays.

Although in the centre of things, the apartment is tucked away in a quiet street, ensuring long lazy lie-ins and no disturbance from the early morning/late evening sounds of inner city living.

The apartment is situated on the 2nd floor, access is via stairs or there is a lift, as the building is old and characterful, the lift does not take you to the door, there is a small flight of stairs to be climbed.

Accommodation comprises of entrance hall, lounge/diner with 2 leather sofas, one a sofa bed, 42' plasma screen TV, free to view satellite channels, DVD and ipod docking station. Fitted oak kitchen with black granite worktops equipped with everything you would have in your own home. Two fully tiled bathrooms, the house bathroom features bath with shower over.

The master suite comprises of a king size bed, ample storage and a double shower cubicle, the second bedroom features bunk beds.

The apartment is ideally situated just off the famous street of Micklegate, within the Walls of the Historic City of York.

Minutes away from all the amenities and attractions of the ancient City of York. On your doorstep you will find Indian, Thai and Italian restaurants, as well as a fish and chip shop and a handful of pubs, yet we're tucked away in a quiet residential area, no late night or early morning noise, ensuring long lazy lie-ins.

Both rail and coach links are well within easy walking distance. Secure off street private parking for one car available on site. Two bedrooms, master with en-suite and uninterrupted views of the Bar Walls of York.

Spacious apartment in very convenient location

Very clean, modern , comfortable apartment with great facilities in convenient location within the city walls.
Although the living dining room was spacious, the property would be more suitable for 2 adults and 3 children as the second bedroom was small, with a double bunk, and the other bed was a pull out sofa in the living room.
Having a lift was a welcome bonus, as was the free on site parking

Excellent!

Me and 3 friends came to York for a weekend and had a fantastic time! The apartment is well equipped, clean and spacious and nicely decorated. The location couldn't be better - 5 minutes walk from train station and 5-10 leisurely walk to town centre. Despite it being so well centrally located it is very quiet and we all had a good night sleep. We are also very grateful to the owner - Keren, who allowed us to leave our bags in the morning rather than drag them into to town with us. Overall the place is perfect - I would not hesitate to go back or recommend to friends or family looking for a place to stay in York.

The Place to Stay in York!

Priory House is the place to stay in York. I stayed there for five weeks and enjoyed every minute of it. The apartment is perfectly located. About a five minute walk to York train station and 5-10 minute walk from the Shambles. Keren is a lovely host addressing the needs of guests in a fast, reliable manner. The apartment itself is perfectly furnished and has everything you could possibly need. I will be staying here again!

Great location, very comfy apartment

Great apartment, home from home. Karen met us at apartment, and was very friendly and helpful. Good to have somewhere to park so close to the centre of York.

My fault, by didn't notice that the single beds were bunk beds. Perhaps need to be more detailed in description. There is no photo of second bedroom on website.

We stayed till Sunday and were able to leave car in place as no one was coming in that day, to stay in York till afternoon. Great help.

Would certainly recommend and stay again.

Great apartment, great location

We had a great time staying at Priory House. The location is fantastic, near the station but quiet and a short walk to the city centre. The flat lived up to the photos, clean and stylish - the kitchen and bathrooms were particularly nice. The second bedroom is very small but the bunks were comfortable. Keren was an excellent host, responding quickly to my enquiry, being there when we arrived and letting us check out a little later than normal. We didn't need the parking place but that is a huge plus in York where parking is very difficult. I would highly recommend this property to anyone.

The apartment is situated in the Heart of York, close to river trips, museums, shops, restaurants, bars, local public transport, art gallery and theaters.

Visit the world famous Jorvik Viking Center or the award winning National Railway Museum - a must for visitors with children - walk around the Bar Walls, climb Clifford's Tower enjoy ice creams by the river.

A short journey away by car or bus, are the numerous attractions of North Yorkshire including the East Coast towns of Scarborough, Whitby and Robin Hoods Bay. The Yorkshire Moors and the Dales - all very enjoyable day trips from your base in York.

For the more adventurous take a Ghost Walk and find out the not so nice, ghoulish history of the city.

If you fancy a day at the races, coincide your visit with one of the race meetings throughout the summer. Contact me for more details.
