easter weekend

we stayed here for easter weekend and the weather turned out nice .
the place was clean and tidy in a fantastic spot just on the harbour we had parking at the apartment it was also just around the corner from town and the owners had left leaflets for all the things we could do around the area which we were very greatful of.
we would glady stay here again

Weeks Break

We spent a wonderful week in Porthmadog.
The property was as described, clean and well maintained and we had no reason to contact the owner only to say thank you for a wonderful week.
The location was ideal with spetacular scenery, beaches and attractions within walking distance or just minutes by car.
The local shops were just minutes away with everything you could want and good eating places and bars.
All in all it couldn't have been better and we will book again for next year.

This apartment was book at the last minute, but i was assured it had been cleaned and was ready for occupying, On arrival, a trip to buy cleaning materials was in order. my wife them spent 2 hours trying to make the kitchen as well as bathroom clean. green mold growing in the fridge, dirty cutlery, moldy fruit in bowl. everything still wet with paint, a smell of smoke, was not going to help my recent hospital stay. that said once settled things okay? There are no views of the harbour unless you are outside on the decking, looking over the 8 feet high wall that surrounds the property. the main picture does not how the part you will be staying in. that is ground floor around the back. 9pm saw the local lads playing music and skateboarding at the back of the property, on the key side. This seemed a regular meeting point? Monday morning was met with hammering and drilling from upstairs. this is being renovated by another owner. A day out was in order. Alas on return builders had gone but water was dripping through the lounge roof. Twice i phoned the owner, once about the uncleanliness of the apartment, second about the drip. i only received one text message in return telling me he had been in touch with the builders. who came and stopped the leak.
I have found over the years, the only answer with accommodation like this is not to use them again, certainly not to recommend them to friends.
I understand it was a last minute booking, but was told all was okay. the owners had been there the previous weekend. North Wales is a lovely area, we have spent years holidaying there. my advice is look around, for the price, there are far better available.

Owner's Response: A bit unbeliveable really last minute booking for nearly half price rang late at night.
we take notice any reviews
but this clearly is not correct.

We left it spotless as we had stayed and had lovely time weekend before and had the chance to come back the week after. we could see that nothing was any different than we had left it cleaning products are left under the sink for our cleaners so no need to buy any materials.
upstairs did have a drip bit out of our control that took 5 mins to sort out.
we did do some decorating the week before and when we left it was dry which i dont see as a problem.

The views are from the courtyard as stated and the property is in a very good location.
we have rented out this property for the last 5 years to customers returning every year.

clearly any property would be a suitable for these people.


On saturday this week we were able to meet the holidaymakers for this week that loved the place and its position the fantastic view from the courtyard. as with all of previous holidaymakers.

it would have been the point to make immediately if that was the case and not left it until after the holiday.

gladly we have many good happy holidaymakers from the past and in the future.
