Conveniently situated within easy walking distance of the local shops, and a wide range of local bars and restaurants offering a variety of international cuisine to suit all ages and tastes. Public transport links are close by. Calahonda is a coastal town ideally situated between Fuengirola and Marbella. There are many facilities and attractions close by which appeal to both adults and children: Beaches and water sports, adventure parks and family centres, as well as an abundance of Golf Courses and sports centres, all easily reached by car or public transport.

Situated right on the beach!: This penthouse apartment in Calahonda, near Marbella, Costa del Sol, Spain, is situated within a small, select, securely gated community of apartments, and is situated right on the beach! Comfortably accommodating six people, the apartment boasts 3 double bedrooms (master bedroom with fantastic sea views & an en suite with luxury 'rainfall' shower), 2nd bathroom; large sunny south-facing lounge/diner with double patio doors, and a French door, leading out onto the huge terrace. The lounge is equipped with a TV, SKY/satellite system, DVD/CD player & a safe.

The spacious & comfortable lounge has two leather sofas, leather armchair, dining table & matching coffee table, plus 6 leather upholstered dining chairs. Roman Blinds are fitted in the lounge & master bedroom. The fully equipped open plan kitchen has everything you need and boasts a fridge/freezer, oven and ceramic hob, washing machine/tumble dryer, dishwasher and microwave.

Huge sunny terrace with superb views over the Med!: There is a very large, landscaped terrace, with a raised decked solarium area ideal for private sunbathing, an outside dining area with superb views over the Med, and a well stocked & colourful garden/patio area which is ideal in which to relax with a cool drink & a good book. Toldos/sunshades are fitted throughout the terrace, offering shaded seating/dining areas. An automatic irrigation system has been installed.

There are sun loungers, outdoor suite & coffee table, solid wood dining table & chairs, plus other outdoor furniture. Easy public transport links are close by for Malaga (30 minutes), Marbella (15 minutes), and beyond. Ideally situated for golfers, with some excellent golf courses within 15 minutes' drive, and for families, where children can play in a safe & secure environment with direct (securely gated) access directly onto the beach. Also an idyllic & romantic setting just for two!

Amazing wiews, space, modern design, privacy

We had 4 weeks of enjoy in this weel maintained and weel equipped luxury appartment, wtih great teraces with privacy.
The sourrounding was seen after every day, and every thing was very clean.
We got a 1. class of information of how to do from the owner, and the local staff, was very helpfull.
So truly af home away from home.

Fabulous apartment, great location

This was our 5th time returning to Calahonda, but 1st time to this apartment. The accommodation definitely lived up to our expectations; the on-line descriptions were accurate, the apartment was very clean, spacious and well equipped & the welcome pack was great. This was the first accomodation where beach towels were included and a mid-break change of bed linen - lovely!!!
There were 7 of us staying ranging in age from 6 to 60 & we all had a thoroughly enjoyable holiday. Being so close to the beach meant that even round the pool you get a lovley sea breeze - something you definitely don't get further inland.
The wifi was great for my 12 year old daughter; she took her laptop with her & could keep in touch with all her friends!!!
We did hire a car, which we used to visit our favourite beach at Cabopino, the market at La Cala (Wednesdays & Saturdays) but everything is within walking distance, so a car is certainly not essential.
We tried several of the restaurants at the nearby Dona Lola complex & had some lovely meals out. The facilites at the apartment were good enough that we catered for ourselves some nights too & enjoyed eating "al fresco" on the balcony.
We would have no hesitation recommending this apartment & hope to use it again ourselves. The owner is very quick to respond to any questions & the communication was frequent & meaningful up to, during & after our stay. The couple who are responsible for cleaning and maintaining the apartment were also very helpful.
The only downside to our stay was that it couldn't have been longer!!!

Great apartment with fantastic views

This was the second year we have stayed for a month in this property, this year in March so was good to know where everything was already and as always the welcome pack was extremely generous. Unfortunately the weather wasn't so good this year but it made it all the better that we had a lovely apartment to snuggle down into on the no so good days and as the kitchen is so well stocked we could cook a nice meal and have a glass or two of wine. When we did have nice weather it was lovely to sit out on the terrace for lunch looking at the lovely views of the sea. We always hire a car but the apartment is so close to lots of places and there is a bus stop outside so its very easy to get around and there are lots of supermarkets and restaurants within walking distance. The apartment is very comfortable with plenty of room and it feels just like a home from home and circumstances permitting we will certainly hope to return next year.

Great location!

Firstly, on arrival at the apartment we were welcomed with a fantastic grocery pack which meant we didn't have to rush out for food. The apartment is in a fantastic location...literally on the beach...idylic. It is well furnished and the kitchen is the best equipped kitchen I have been in for a holiday home.
Outside the patio area is also well equipped with seating and we enjoyed eating at the table area outside as well. The patio is a sun trap but much too hot for me to sunbathe (mid July) - down at the pool you avail of the breeze from the sea...wonderful!! Total relaxation.
Lots of great restaurants and bars within walking distance. Highly recommend!! We had a great time. Thanks Barbara.

Fantastic autumn break in superb acommodation

My husband and I enjoyed a fantastic week at Playa de la Lucera in October. The sun shone continuously, and we loved sitting out on the terrace enjoying a glass of wine (or two!), or walking on the beach. We chose the accommodation because it was situated right on the beach and close to all amenties, and we certainly took full advantage! The description regarding the apartment and its location was accurate. The owner, Barbara, also provided an awesome welcome pack - in fact we didn't need to go shopping for the first couple of days! The apartment was lovely and clean and well maintained. Barbara kept in touch with us from the moment we booked until the day before we arrived with little snippets of information, such as local restaurants, what to pack (and, more importantly, what not to pack!). We were delighted with the apartment and the resort, will be booking again for next year, and have already recommended it to family & friends!

The area's mild climate makes it possible to enjoy the long stretches of sandy beaches and partake in a wide variety of outdoor activities all year round. Close by are the world renowned resorts of Marbella & Puerto Banus, with their famous nightlife, designer shops & impressive harbours. Other popular local destinations include Mijas & Ronda, which are traditional white Spanish towns in the surrounding mountainside. The lovely harbour and beach at Cabopino is very close by & well worth a visit.

To the east is Fuengirola - with its superb beach, water park, zoo & the Myramar shopping mall - and Benalmadena with its impressive marina, sea-life centre & the Tivoli World theme park. Further afield is Gibraltar (about an hours' drive), where you can buy duty-free goods. Worth the drive (about 1.5 hours) is Granada with the Alhambra Palace and skiing in Sierra Nevada.
