Attractive townhouse situated in the Spanish Town of San Javier on the Mar Menor in the Murcia Region. The property has a large patio area at the front and a private roof terrace so you can relax and enjoy the warm summer days and evenings. If you want to cool down there is a shared private pool at the rear of the property.

There's no shortage of places to eat and drink in this area. The town is a 2 minute walk away where you can find shops, cafes, tapas bars, banks and medical centre. Beaches close by, Santiago de la Ribera beach is a 5 minutes drive by car or local bus. San Pedro del Pinatar which is famous for its mud baths in the salt flat area. It is said to heal skin complaints and rheumatism and is free to use. Los Narejos and Los Alcazares are recommended. If you enjoy golf there are 5 courses in the area. A short drive will take you to La Manga, Torre Pacheco, Villamartin, Las Ramblas and Campoamor. Murcia Airport is a 5 minutes drive away from the property

The property comprises of 2 Bedrooms both fully furnished. The one has a double bed the other has two singles. They both have fitted wardrobes with ample space for clothing. Each room is air-conditioned and also acts as heating in the winter months. The master bedroom has its own patio window and balcony area to relax on. The house has two fully equiped bathrooms. The ground floor comprises of a lounge with a double sofa bed, dinning room table and chairs, Sky/satelite TV and DVD & radio. The lounge leads onto the kitchen which is fully equiped and has all the necessary utensils. There is also a washing machine situated in the utility area with a washing line. The second bathroom is situated on the ground floor.

The house has a large patio at the front equiped with garden furniture and plants. There is also a roof terrace complete with garden furniture for those wanting to take in the sunshine in privacy. To cool off the pool is situated at the rear of the property.

Plenty of tapas bars very reasonably priced. At least 4 local supermarkets open until 10 o'clock most nights. 5 minute walk to the local football club San Javier - Mar Menor. Roda golf resort 2 minutes, La Manga golf course is a 20 minute drive away. Other courses include Torre-Pacheco 8 minutes, Villamartin, Las Ramblas and Campoamor courses are approx 15 minutes by car. There is a large commercial centre situated in the town and another one close by to the property, which has various restaurants including Spanish, Chinese, Asian and traditional English Pub/Restuarants, all just a short walk from the property. Also close by is a Supermarket, and various other restaurants cafe bars, banks and many shops. The local tapas bars are friendly and well worth a visit.

The beaches are not overcrowded, you will find it easy to find privacy.

Golf: There are lots of golf courses nearby the nearest being Roda Golf resort.

Our new favourite getaway

My soon to be husband and I have stayed at this lovely house on two occasions - the second time he proposed to me, so San Javier will always have a special place in my heart! We have loved staying at the house - so clean and yet homely, with excellent facilities including access to the fab outdoor pool - in a quiet, residential area of San Javier.

The location of the house is close to the town centre and a short bus ride to the beach. Personally, we enjoyed walking and cycling to the beach and spending all day out so very much used the house as a base to come back to at night. We rarely went out to eat as we got all the food we needed from the local supermarkets and then had lovely, very peaceful evenings sitting outside the front of the house on the private, well screened patio area.

I'm sure there's lots to do at night and places to go that are father afield but we needed time to slow down and relax and that's exactly what you can do when you come back to this lovely little house.

We have already decided that we're coming back at least twice in 2013!!

P.S. Big shout out to Ian, the keyholder, a lovely Scot with great sense of humour who will help you out with any problem presented to him!

Second time here, nice clean house. good location for Airport/supermarket, some lovely beaches, brilliant weather, good place to eat at time out bar.

Lovely place, very relaxing holiday. definately be back.

Time to go home so sad to leave

Got to go home tomorrow! Not happy at all! On the plus side what an amazing week. Homely accomadation, outstanding. everything you could possibly need a true home from home. Excellent place, but really really does not make you want to leave.

Weather has been spectacular, Sept Oct just right guranteed a tan. The Narejos beach is out of this world! very beutiful, very safe, very relaxing. The mud bath at Lo Pagan is a must, something that has to be done and don't miss the pink Flamingos.
