Beautiful lakeside setting, 4 stone cottages, luxurious interior, fire & hot tub

There are 7 beautiful cottages on the site in total. Gulliver has 6 bedrooms & sleeps 12 which is fantastic for a family get together. Lakeside has 3, Owls Roost & Lilliput (not featured) 2 each. Additionally there is an additional group of 3 cottages, Long Barn. These can be found on our main web site holidaycottagesincornwall.co.uk or on this site with property numbers 714977 & 714978.

The outdoor pool (summer) is very sunny with loungers so is great for catching a few rays.

Guests receive free membership at the superb China Fleet Club with gym, indoor pools, squash, tennis, crech

The Cottages: These former stone buolt farm buildings just ooze period charm. They have all been substantially updated in recent years and are well equipped, fully heated - they all have fires as well) and have lovely views.

Gulliver, the largest cottage has lovely old Oak beams, the floor downstairs is solid wood and there is tons of space for even the largest parties to roam around in. There is a large patio to the front with lake views & a beuatiful masonry BBQ. To the rear is a further deck with Gulliver's own private HOT TUB.

Lakeside cottage has stunning views from its almost permanently sunny balcony, and Owls Roost is perfect for couples or famillies with smaller children (aged 6-12).

Trehill cottages all have private patios, BBQs and free use of the facilities at Trehill cottage as well as those wonderful China Fleet memberships.

We only use quality cotton bed & bath linen, there is free wifi and each cottage has a good selection of DVDs.

The grounds: Trehill cottages 4 sunny acres are set on a plateau overlooking the Lynher valley in SE Cornwall. From some of the cottages you can see right across to the remains of the iron age fort at Cadsonbury. The grounds themselves are a delight. With so much space, you never feel that Trehill is 'over run'!

The children's play areas are nearby, but not so near that they spoil your or anyone elses 'quality time'! The fishing ponds are well stocked & our donkey Sam is a hit with adults & children alike.

The games room has air hockey, table tennis and table football. The heated outdoor pool is open from Whitsun week, though to the end of the August bank holiday. It gets the sun all day long, so just stretch out on a lounger & soak up the rays.

The China Fleet club: For those rare occasions when the sun doesn't shine, your China Fleet memberships will be an absolute god send. This wonderful private club is only a short drive away. It has a huge leisure pool (+ a swimming lane if you want to do some laps in the 25m pool) with flume ride. There is also tennis, squash, gym, exercise classes, creche, kids play areas and an adults only spa area. They also do beauty treatments and have a sports injuries clinic.

The golf course (extra charge of £40 per week for free golf or just £20 per round with your leisure memberships) is a good quality championship course with lovely views over the Tamar Valley & river Tamar.

This traditional stone cottage has a stunning setting facing South west over the Lynher valley. It has 3 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms. The delightful main bedroom has a king bed and leads out on to a delightful sunny balcony with far reaching views over the Lynher valley. There is also a twin room & a good sized single room. Downstairs, the oak beams and solid slate floor add a real rural flavour. There is a flat screen TV, top quality leather sofas and gas fire. The kitchen is well equipped, with large fridge freezer, dishwashercermic hobs, over, microwave etc. Lakeside comes with 2 adult & 3 child memberships to the nearby China Fleet club with its pools, gym, tennis restaurants etc. Outside, Lakeside has its own deck right by the lake, with picnic table & BBQ Lakeside offers a very high quality of accommodation in delightful surroundings.

This area of SE Cornwall is the perfect spot for a relaxing brake. Peaceful, with beautiful surroundings and views, it is still very easy to get around. With good A roads close by, you can get to the beach in 20 minutes, pubs in 5 and the top sites such as Heligan, Eden project and even Lands End are all within reach.

Locally there is a good fun farm for children, the Donkey Sanctuary in Gunnislake, Cotehele House and the delights of the River Tamar, where you can go for canoe trips or just hire a boat for the afternoon.

Plymouth with its cinemas, wonderful aquarium and shops is also less then 30 minutes away.

The addition of China Fleet club memberships (pools, gym, squash, tennis, exercise classes & golf - extra charge for golf) gives further wet weather options.

Golf: For just £40 per person, guests at Trehill cottages can enjoy free golf at the beautiful championship course at the China Fleet club, just a short drive away. The lovely 18 hole, par 72 golf course offers breathtaking views over the River Tamar and great practice facilities which include a 22 bay floodlit driving range, 3 holes practice facility and a putting green you will be spoilt for choice.

Trehill cottages is also just 2 miles from the renowned Nicklaus & Kernow courses at St Mellion.

The Jack Nicklaus Signature Course at St Mellion - Designed by the man himself. Brought back to all its former glory in 2007/08 with an extensive refurbishment programme, the Nicklaus course is now firmly in any one's list of top UK courses. The Nicklaus Course provides has 7000 yards of outstanding golf.

The Kernow Course at St Mellion - Formerly known as the Old Course, it was completely redeveloped in 2008. 9 of the old holes were extended and improved with 9 brand new holes also being added. The Kernow was always the most popular with members because and with the new holes and lay outs is going to provide the sort of course that anyone would be happy to play again and again.

  • The king room has this superb balcony with table and chairs and truly outstanding views. You get the sun for most of the day, so even in April & September, if it is sunny you can sit outside. The twin room also has lake views. We only use good quality cotton bedding & towels.
