Photos and Description of this 2 bedroom holiday cottage in St Keverne - Priory Cottage

Once a barn and now converted into a charming upside down cottage with lots of woodwork, exposed beams and a pale pine kitchen with pretty tiles. There are electric panel radiators throughout the cottage and a woodburning stove in the sitting room. Equipped to a high standard, comfortable furnishings, old pine, pictures, pottery and flowers abound.

From the first floor there are lovely views over the garden and down through the wooded valley towards the sea. The open plan living room/kitchen is reached by stone steps leading up to a stable door. Downstairs there is a double bedroom, (4'6' bed with king size duvet), twin-bedded bedroom with hand-built old pine cabin beds, a supply of toys and a smart bathroom (shower above the bath and underfloor heating).

All the downstairs rooms overlook the private patio which is equipped with garden furniture and is for the exclusive use of guests in Priory Cottage. There is a children's stairgate and a cot and highchair available.

Electricity, first basket of logs and a welcome pack to greet you are all included.

Perfect holiday retreat. We loved it

We had such a wonderful stay. Beautiful cottage and the owners had spent a lot of time and thought in making it perfect. A very warm welcome indeed, complete with a very nice nice array of bread, breakfast, chocolate and fizz. All we needed to kick start our holiday. Loved the colourful bathroom and underfloor heating. The cottage has a private garden too. We enjoyed watching the resident bats every night. Perfect location for getting to know the Lizard. Thoroughly recommend it.

St. Keverne is set around a square with an imposing church, a pub, a restaurant and a couple of shops. The Lizard Peninsula is an area of outstanding natural beauty and varied scenery from the magnificent coastline, sandy beaches and famous coves to Goonhilly Downs and the romantic wooded valleys and creeks of the Helford River.

Historic houses and gardens, family attractions, galleries and good restaurants are all within easy reach, as are St. Ives, Penzance and the Cathedral City of Truro. For those of a more energetic nature, The Lizard is a wonderful place for walking, especially the awe inspiring coastal path.

Notes

  • We can accept payment in Pounds Sterling or in Euros, whichever is more convenient for you.

    Linen and towels are included (please bring your own beach towels) and also a welcome pack to greet you after your journey.

    The cottage is available from 3pm on the day of arrival and you are requested to leave by 10am on the day of departure.

    Most dogs are welcome by arrangement although we do not accept certain breeds or young puppies. Please keep dogs on a lead around the house and do not allow them on the furniture or leave them unattended in the cottage.
